Val's POV
It had been three days since the battle. And everyone began to fix up erebor. My shoulder had healed and I was going crazy not being able to see Fili. I had written my entire journey over the past three days and I was getting bored. Dwalin soon came out emotionless as he beckons me to stand.
"Is he alive?"
He wouldn't say anything. He just walked straight forward. I was dying to know what happened to my fiancé. We finally reached the healers room and it was less crowded as workers worked on fixing the patches on the walls. You know manly stuff. Dwalin pulled back a curtain where I saw his golden head.
"He's alive. Slowly recovering but alive." Kili smiled weakly as he sat upright in bed. Dwalin left assuming he had other things to work on.
"How is he?" I whispered "has been awake at all?"
"They gave him medicine that knocked him out during the operation that's why he's been asleep. He hasn't opened his eyes yet."
A faint stirring occurred as Fili lifted his finger. He moved his hand and then his wrist.
"Kili." I said lowly as he slowly hopped out of bed leaning on his good leg. And grabbing my shoulder for support.
"Fili?" Kili asked gently and quietly "can you hear us?"
"Uhhhhh" he mumbled "uhuuhh"
He then slowly opened his blue eyes blinking several times before he focused on us.
"Kili." He whispered "thank goodness your alright."
"Hi sunshine...." I croaked "do you know who I am?"
"Your my... Valencia...."
"Yes I am." I smiled through tears "I thought you were dead! I couldn't see you for three days! Do you know how insane I was going to be if I didn't see you today?"
He chuckled "oh Val, you should know that death can't stop true love. All it can do is delay it for awhile." (GUESS THAT LINE!)
I laughed "right you are Fili."
He smiled as he suddenly frowned "where's Thorin?"
Kili froze. That's right nobody has told him.
"You don't remember what happened?"
"Vaguely. "
"What happened?" Kilis eyes widened
"Your uncle..... He died while defeating Azog..."
"No." Fili and Kili whispered
"He loved you both. He thought of you as sons and he couldn't be more proud." I nodded trying to hold more tears back. I swear in the past three days I've cried more in my lifetime.
"He will always be with us." Fili closed his eyes.
"But for now we will bid him a very fond farewell."
