Jamie Lawrence
Hey all, I did an interview as my character Jamie from my book also called Jamie. So, although I am in the midst of doing more interviews (with different authors *chuckles*), I decided to add this to my collection, because why not, right? Now, down to the juicy stuff!
~ ~ ~
"Hello Ms. Jamie, or what should I call you?"
"Hello June, you can call me Jamie or James for short, even though it's not really any shorter *laughs*."
"*Chortles* It's alright, plus it's short to me. Can you tell the readers what are you (human, monster, animal) and describe what you look like?"
"I'm a human being, and I'm about 5'3 with shoulder-length dirty blonde hair, and dark blue eyes."
"What is your story about and how far are your chapters?"
"My story is about me, I love my family like, well like family, but I don't feel like they always have my back. Especially since I found out I have cancer. So when I meet this really nice and cute boy, Conrad Mason, who actually likes me back, I'm really excited and also scared. Scared that he might not love me after he finds out. Currently there are only 11 chapters, because the author is really busy, but she's hoping to get more out soon."
"How's the story so far and are there any problems your creator (author) doesn't like and wishes to change?"
"I think the story is going pretty good so far, I'm pretty sure there are going to be a few things Dannie (my author) is going to change, but nothing overly major I believe."
"Any flaws you have and if you were able to demand your creator erase one (just one) of your flaws, which one do you NOT want and why?"
"Well, maybe my laid backness. I've been called a pushover before, but that's not exactly true, I don't think. I can stand up for myself, just that I generally don't care if say, someone wants to eat here or there."
"Do you something regret in any scene, that you wish for a time machine and restart the day correctly?"
"Maybe the time my sister kissed my date, that wasn't a great day."
"Who is your creator and describe his/her personality in your honest words?"
"My authors name is Danielle Matthews, and she actually based me off of herself. Except she totally is a pushover. She tries her best to do what's right and knows there's always room to improve. She's a pretty big bookworm too."
"Does Danielle like your story and is she satisfied with the chapters?"
"For the most part yes, but like I said, she might change some stuff, this is pretty much just a first draft. But she really likes how everything is working out."
"So do you perhaps know what readers can (hopefully) look forward to the ending? Not as a whole spoiler but in short words, like a glimpse of a sneak peek."
"Without saying too much, it's twisty and a little bittersweet."
"Pretend you're promoting your book to your readers. What would you say to get their attention and read it?"
"Jamie is the story of a girl with cancer, but if you were to give it a try, I think you would be more inclined to say "Jamie is the story of a sweet girl with a sense of humour, who falls in love." So it really has two main plot lines. The one with the cancer girl, and the one with the love-struck teenager. And I think you'll find that it's a really great combination."
"In Jamie, who is the main villain and who are the side characters that give love and support to you?"
"There isn't really a villain. The closest would my sister Roxane who can be pretty, well, un-sisterly at times, but not a villain like I said. So I guess cancer.
The side characters are Alex, Kelsey, Austen and Conrad. All of whom are intriguing people and just really great in general."
"Last question, any last words you want to say to readers and maybe someone special?"
"I'd like to say that in a society where cancer is so common, this story is unfortunately not completely original. Yes, it was thought all up by my author, but there are thousands of me's, of Jamie's wandering the world, trying to find their place. If you were to try this book, maybe you could help bare with them a little easier. I'd also like to thank anyone and everyone who has read my story so far."
