What should I call you?

I don't usually have a preference, but I think I like Jo the best.

Welcome Jo and thanks for agreeing to talk to us today.

Thanks. This is kind of exciting. I've never done anything like this before.

I hope I can make it easy for you. Before we start can I get you anything to drink? Water? Soda? Coffee? Wine? Whiskey?

I'd love a hot coca, with a sprinkle of cinnamon. That would be great.

Sounds yummy.  I'm going to join you.  While we wait, tell me a little about yourself.

Well I'm 16. I'm still in high school. Which I have to say was a completely horrible experience up until a few months ago when I met my boyfriend Hunter. And I have the best job I could ever ask for, especially only being 16, in the smallest town in the entire universe. I've also gotten to meet my absolute favorite author Anna Todd by way of her coming to the bookstore I work at for a book signing.

Hey, that's cool. So where do you live?

I live in a really small town just outside Pine Hills Washington called Twin Falls. You would miss it if you weren't looking for it.

I also grew up in a "blink and you miss it" small town, so I get where your're coming from. Do you have any jobs or hobbies?

I work at a small bookshop called 'Between the Lines'. It's the only bookstore within a fifty mile radius and it's the best place to work. Mrs. Lawrence is my boss, but she treats me more like her granddaughter. As for hobbies, I love to read. It's my favorite thing to do. Very fitting wouldn't you say?

Absolutely! Sounds like a dream job. What are some of your likes and dislikes?

That's something that changes on a regular basis for me. But right now, I'd have to say my job. I know it's a strange thing to say but I really enjoy it. I'm going to be traveling soon with Mrs. Lawrence for work and what teenager gets to say that at 16?

Something else that I really like is just the peace and quiet of an empty beach. You know the night s where it's too cold to go swimming, but it's still warm enough to fall asleep on the beach while you listen to the ocean. It sounds like its singing.

Dislikes...I hate liars, and people that aren't nice just for the sake of making other people afraid of them.

Do you like to travel?

I don't know to be honest. I've never had the opportunity to really travel. The farthest I've gone is from here to Oregon on a family ski trip before my mom left; which turned out to be a disaster anyway so I can't really compare that to the travelling I'll be doing for my job. But I definitely want to give it another shot.

What is your greatest fear?

When I was little, I would have said the dark. I think every little kid is afraid of the dark at some point in their childhood. But having to answer that today, I would have to say losing someone that has finally made you feel like your worth their time.

Are you in Love?

I think that's a really personal question. But if you read the first part of my story you probably have a good idea of the answer. And if you're still in the dark about it, make sure to come back to read the second part of my story.

Fair enough. If you could have done one thing differently, what would it be?

If you mean doing something differently in my life that lead me to this moment, no. Because if I did, I don't know if my life would be the way it is now, and I'm starting to enjoy my life. But I guess we'll have to see where I go from here.

If you could travel back in time, where would you go?

Wow, can I have like a week to think about it? If I had to answer now, I guess I have to say the day my dad left. I don't remember his face anymore, and I'd like to maybe see him one more time and maybe even ask him to take me with him.

Oh my.  Let's try some lighter questions. Do you exercise or are you a couch potato?

I like to exercise. Specially, I like to run. I haven't kept up with it like I use to since moving here because it rains a lot but I'm far from a couch potato.

Are you happy we know your story?

Yes I'm very happy. But there are some things that i wish didn't have to be read by anyone. I realize that those things happened and maybe if they hadn't then i might not be where I am today, and that could mean i wouldn't have met the people that I'm glad are in my life now.

And thinking further, maybe someone reading my story may be dealing with something similar and can't see a way through it yet, but just knowing that you're not alone, that's what could mean a world of difference to someone.

Very well said. Is there anything you want to say to your fans?

Even though I don't know you all by name, I am still truly grateful for every single one of you. Considering where my life was heading a few years ago, I never would have thought this is where I would be today.

Can we look forward to reading more of your story?

Of course! I have so much more to say. And now that I have an awesome person in my life, things I'm sure will be getting a lot more interesting. There's so many things to cover I'm not sure I would be able to fit it all in one book anyway. My life is finally just starting and I'm excited to see what comes next.

That's great to here. Thank you Jo for talking with us today.  Hope this wasn't too bad for your first interview.

Thanks for having me this was a fun new experience and I'd love to do it again sometime.

We'll put it on the calendar.
