DIRECTOR: LIGHTS, CAMERA ACTION!

Assalam o Alaikum and hello friends and fans!!

I'm your host and dost Kounj Muzafar. Today we have another honorable and lovely Author and winner of a Freedom Award yueelle

Thank you so much Ella  for agreeing to this interview. So I will start now...

Tell us a little something special about yourself and your background?

English isn't my first language so when I had to learn it, I absolutely hated reading. I abhorred books and wondered why people were so entranced by them. Somehow along the way, a friend of mine finally convinced me to pick up a series she loved and lo and behold, here I am, a lover of words. Literally; they make me swoon when they're strung together so eloquently.

What's your age, your date of birth and zodiac sign?

17 going on 18~. I won't say my date of birth, but I'm a cancer. A dragon, too — if you're wondering about my Chinese zodiac.

Which genre did your winner book belong to? What draws you to this genre?

Science Fiction! I actually disliked this genre for the longest time so it never really drew me in. Romance, historical fiction, and fantasy suited my taste and science fiction was far from all of that. However, it occurred to me one day that I disliked the genre for no reason arbitrary all, really. So I decided to write in it.

What do people hate the most about you?

Sometimes I'm blunt — really, I am. Sugar-coating when I've known someone for the longest time is something that I don't practice. You can imagine how offended some of my friends are when I opt to tell the truth quite frankly without hesitation. Or that I don't care to put what I think nicely, instead serving them a straight-up answer.

What's the most strangest thing you have done?

Perhaps it's not strange, but it's odd of me to think my pastor is cute. I mean, he's got wavy blonde hair that curls at the nape of his neck and long lashes that frame these crystal blue eyes. He's so pretty and I bet he believes I stare at him every Sunday because I'm actually spiritually immersed in his sermon when actually I'm really not. I'm admiring from afar.

Do you ever get writer's Block? Give one tip on how to get through the dreaded writer's block?

How can someone not encounter this demon once in their lifetime? What I love to do when I'm in a block is to go out at night when the sun is sleeping and stare up at the moon (if the night is clear). I'll close my eyes and let the air wrap around me, icy fingers running against my skin as the sounds of night play by. A few cars that cruse through, some charters at that midnight, and the sounds of whatever it is in the dark scurrying around.

How do you react to negative comments?

There's a book that I've read called The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. If the comment is just plain rude (which, by the way, I'm an author who's not really read by people on Wattpad so I've not received many comments on this particular platform), then I'll just not give a f*ck. Or if I'm in the mood, I'll just reply back with something salty. Depends.

Which person would you like to meet from WP and why? Tag them.

I have no one in mind, but really, I'd rather have this interview across a cup of tea and some super delicious chocolate chip cookies to satisfy my sugar cravings. So, IEscapist.

(Please, have some ☕☕ 🍪🍪🍪)

Who are your favorite authors?

1. Cassandra Clare (love, love her.)

2. Ernest Hemingway (he probably wrote the majority of his novels drunk, but I still love him)

3. Marie Lu (she makes my heart ache)

What do your family say about your writing?

They think it's okay. I honestly don't show them my prose/poetry, so all they can say is that I waste my time writing stories all day long rather than spending that energy writing common apps.

Favourite Quote –

"Mass is not proportional to volume. A girl as small as a violet. A girl who moves like a flower petal is pulling me toward her with more force than her mass. Just then, like Newton's apple, I rolled toward her without stopping until I fell on her, with a thump. With a thump. My heart keeps bouncing between the sky and the ground. It was my first love." ~ Kim In-Yook's "The Physics of Love"

Places you want to visit –

1. Thailand❣️❣️❣️

2. East Europe

3. Taiwan (again)

Are you a good liar? Tell a lie.

It depends on my cue when I really do need to lie. I'd say I pick up hints quite well and can lie my way through something if I need to.

What's one thing people love the most about you?

My sincerity. (This comes with being a bit too frank at times.)

What makes you really mad? Name one pet peeve

I'm rarely ever angry, but I do go mad for fluffy cake doughnuts.

What do you think about IEscapist?

I think you're adorable based on the way your voice reads in my eyes when you make comments and post the next little bit of news for your contest.

Are you living the life you really want to live?

Hah, hell no. But I honestly do appreciate everything and everyone in it. Life could be so much worse, but I think that as someone who especially ruminates about life itself during late hours, I inevitably wish for a different life.

Relationship status?

I've never so much as had a crush in my life.

Best thing about being YOU?

Um... I know when I'm going to be sick and prepare for it because it always happens (without fail) after I've been stressed and depressed as hell?

Is being a writer a gift or a curse?

Both, really. I still write when I have a ten-page paper due at midnight that I haven't started. And it's 11:00 p.m. But... writing makes me genuinely, truly, and honestly happy, so what can I say?

You only get 3 words to describe yourself – what are they?

1. Loverofscottishfolds 2. Willeatallyourcookies 3. Stressedashell

Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you?

Yes, I would prefer to see how messed up my story gets because I didn't bother outlining.

What do you think about The Freedom Awards? Would you like to suggest something to better it next time?

There's nothing I would change, really. Consider it a lovely contest I had the opportunity of entering.

How do you feel about winning a Freedom Award?

Peachy. 🍑

Any Message for the people of Wattpad?

A sincere thank you for those of you who have read my stories and somehow liked them. Although most of you are silent readers and I seriously have no idea whether or not you truly like my stories, I have fun writing them. ❣️❣️❣️

Here we will end this interview. Thank you so much again for joining us today andI hope you had as much as we did.

So Audience I hope you guys enjoyed this too, please let me know your views and comment on our author's answers.
