DIRECTOR: LIGHTS, CAMERA ACTION!
Assalam o Alaikum and hello friends and fans!!
I'm your host and dost Kounj Muzafar. Today we have another honorable and lovely Author and winner of a Freedom Award Xx_Pink_Fashion_xX
Thank you so much Elena for agreeing to this interview. So I will start now...
Tell us a little something special about yourself and your background?
I do Cross Country for my highschool and I walk in fashion shows to raise money for different causes. I also love to play video games and draw, during my free time.
What's your age, your date of birth and zodiac sign?
I'm 15, my birthday is July 22 and I am a cancer and my zodiac sign is a crab.
Which genre did your winner book belong to? What draws you to this genre?
My winner book belonged to fanficiton. What draws me to is genre is it allows you to be creative and write about what your interested in and there is no limit. It also gives you freedom to express yourself and show what your interested in, whether it is a TV show, a videogame, or an anime.
And you can do whatever you want and noone can tell you, if you are right or wrong; you can do whatever your heart desires.
What do people hate the most about you?
I'll be honest, I am not sure what people hate most about me. Anymore, people are always onscreen and are telling the world everything they think, where offscreen, you don't know what they are thinking because they aren't saying it outloud or going up to someone and telling them, like they used to.
But, there are girls in my classes, whether I knew them since elementary or middle school, who don't like me and I don't know why. They give me dirty looks and whisper things to eachother when I walk into a room, but I ignore it because hate and drama isn't worth my time.
What's the most strangest thing you have done?
The strangest thing I have ever done was at the beach, last summer, and I was at a waterpark with a couple of friends and the waterpark was closing at the time, so we decided to get rinsed off at the waterpark showers. Because we go there so late, we had to share one shower stall and to rinse the chlorine off our swimsuits and wash our hair, it was a fight because none of us, mind you there was four of us, had space. We kept bumping heads and elbowing each other and at some point, I elbowed my best friend in the head, which if you are reading now, I apologize and I hope I didn't hit your head too badly.
I thought it was so funny, but yet, it was literally the strangest thing I have ever done and it was in public. I'll say one more thing; good thing there was a curtain covering us and even better, we were in our swimsuits in the entire time, otherwise, it was would've been awkward because we were in public and people would've been watching my friends and I.
Do you ever get writer's Block? Give one tip on how to get through the dreaded writer's block?
Yes, I have got many writers blocks!
What I do to overcome them is I go for a run to clear my head because when you clear your head, new ideas come to you. I also listen to music and sometimes it gives me ideas and yes, this may be a strange way of getting ideas, but I do roleplays with some of my friends on Minecraft and even Wattpad, which helps me get more ideas.
How do you react to negative comments?
Honestly, I don't care. Hate and negativity, in my book, is a waste of time. When people give me negative comments, I take it as a feedback to what could make me a better writer and what I could improve on.
Which person would you like to meet from WP and why? Tag them.
I would love to meet my WP friend, CarterCasterwill. We talk a lot and I am in one of her roleplays called Emergency and I was in her two past roleplays, Captured and Stranded and I play as Esperanza Anderson (aka Elena). Carter helps me out with writing and gives me new ideas for my Teens of Fazbear's series and I think of her as a good friend.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors are Danielle Paige and Marissa Meyer.
What do your family say about your writing?
My family thinks I have good writing and they think its cool that I write my own books.
Favourite Quote –
A quote by Hans F. Henson : "It takes nothing to join a crowd. It takes everything to stand alone."
Places you want to visit –
Scotland, Wales, Switzerland, and Italy.
Are you a good liar? Tell a lie.
I am not a very good liar and I can't tell a good lie.
What's one thing people love the most about you?
What I think most people love about me is my independence. I don't need a crowd to be myself and I am not afraid to show who I really am. People can laugh and talk mean things about me because they are afraid of falling out of the crowd, but I still won't care. I do my own thing and I make my decisions because if there is something I want to do, I just do it. I don't hesistate to think about what other people will think, if I joined a certain club or hobby.
What makes you really mad? Name one pet peeve
I hate when people are in their phones when I am trying to speak to them. It happens to me alot and it drives me so crazy!
What do you think about IEscapist?
I think she is an amazing writer and very unique.
Any insane wish? Name one.
If it's an insane wish, then... I wish to be in a videogame!
(Is this how this question works?)
Are you living the life you really want to live?
Yes, I am. I am doing good in school, I have great friends and a supportive family, and I am not getting involved in drama and bad things in school, so I would say, I am living a good life, so far.
Relationship status?
Nope! I'm a single pringle!
Best thing about being YOU?
The best thing about me is I am independent and I don't need others to make decisions for me. I make my own decisions and I do what I want because I want to do it.
Is being a writer a gift or a curse?
I think being a writer is a gift.
You only get 3 words to describe yourself – what are they?
Independent, talkative, and very friendly.
Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you?
I do both. Alot of times, I plot what I want to do and I go back and edit and cut things that I don't want and keep the things I like, but sometimes, I just let the idea take me.
What do you think about The Freedom Awards? Would you like to suggest something to better it next time?
I like the Freedom Awards. I think it gives alot of opportunity for great writers to win and to get their book out there, so more people can read their amazing stories and see what they are thinking.
How do you feel about winning a Freedom Award?
I was shocked. I was really shocked. By how many views I have on my books and I see some other books have over 20K or something, I always thought my books were crappy and I thought that I would never win, but when I seen I won, I was surprised and very excited.
Any Message for the people of Wattpad?
My message to people on Wattpad is be yourself. Don't be afraid to show who you really are and don't care what others think. People will always hate because they hate the fact that they can't succeed and they hate the fact that they can't be you because all of you are so creative and smart.
Don't let people's words get you down. Take their hatred and turn it into a strength because it is what will make you a stronger person in the long run.
And don't be afraid to independent and to make your own decisions. Don't be afraid to stand out of the crowd because that is what will open more doors for you in the future.
Here we will end this interview. Thank you so much again for joining us today andI hope you had as much as we did.
