I'm your host and dost Kounj Muzafar. And today I'm very lucky to be interviewing our author and winner Red_Leasia of a Freedom Award. 

Thank you so much Red_Leasia for agreeing to this interview, we feel so good to have you here. Let's start with the usual question.

Tell us a little something special yourself and your background?

I love traveling and do so extensively, I love learning new languages. There's nothing incredibly special about my back ground other than I'm a military brat. Moved around a lot then...and still do. :)

What's your age, your date of birth and zodiac sign? 

33, Jan 15, I don't know the last one...lol

Which genre did your winner book belong to? What draws you to this genre? 

Fan Fiction, sometimes you just want to know what happens after the game is over, or the novel is finished...etc.

What do people hate the most about you?

I'm pretty blunt.

What's the most strangest thing you have done?

Covered my truck in Zombie Response Team stickers

Do you ever get writer's Block? Give one tip on how to get through the dreaded writer's block? 

Yes, in the event I switch over to another story, or take a break altogether and do some heavy reading.

How do you react to negative comments? 

Depends, sometimes they are helpful, other times hurtful. I'm not going to get too terribly upset if a person I've never met, and will never meet says something mean or hurtful. Says more about them than me.

madam_hyjinks  she's currently writing an excellent fanfiction of the Fall Out game series. I've never played the game at all, but the book is very good and well worth reading.

Haha, my bluntness...it's a love/hate relationship...

People who abuse children...I'm pretty mellow but that's one thing I can't stand.

IEscapist is working to get some unknown authors out there... I think that's really awesome.

Are you living the life you really want to live? 

I will be once I'm off restriction from this surgery...life is what you make it. If you don't like how you are living, change something. Trying something new.

I'm me whether you like it or not. *shrug* :) Also, I'm nice.

Is being a writer a gift or a curse? 

It can be a curse when you get inspired at 1am...and you have to get up early the next day...but hey that story MUST ABSOLUTELY be written...

You only get 3 words to describe yourself – what are they? 

eccentric, fathomless, short

Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you? 

Usually see where an idea takes me first...if I like the story, or the characters I may outline a basic plot and make a sorry attempt to follow it.

What do you think about The Freedom Awards? Would you like to suggest something to better it next time? 

One of the best contests I've entered so far. And I am glad there is attempt to push authors out here.

How do you feel about winning a Freedom Award? 

Surprised...there were plenty of great entries...
