DIRECTOR: LIGHTS, CAMERA ACTION!
Assalam o Alaikum and hello friends and fans!!
Welcome all...
I'm you host and dost Kounj Muzafar looking hot as hell right here.
Today we have another honorable and lovely Author lorenaariel and winner of a Freedom Award for her book REMEMBERING SUNDAY.
THINGS SAID IN BOLD BRACKETS ARE MY COMMENTS ON THEIR ANSWERS. :P ;)
Thank you so much Lorena Ariel for agreeing to this interview. *Hugs you tight*
So I will start with our usual question...
Tell us a little something special yourself and your background?
Hmmm, something special about me. Honestly, I have no idea, I feel like that's an extremely BROAD question but if you really wanna know something specific, just ask me guys and I more than likely will answer < 3
What's your age, your date of birth and zodiac sign?
I am 15. My birthday is July 15th, 2002 and I am a Cancer. 🦀 (By the way, I don't ever plan on revealing my age to my readers in my story so think of that as a little exclusive thing (-; )
Which genre did your winner book belong to? What draws you to this genre? General Fiction. I think what really draws me to it is the fact that it could literally be ANYTHING that's fiction. You know, romance, chicklit, action. Anything. And I think that's pretty amazing that its so broad and has more to it than just one category.
What do people hate the most about you?
I think the thing people may hate about me is that I'm clingy to those who I adore and to those I don't...I'm kind of a bitch and pretty honest. I'm just very open with my opinions and that can be a problem because many people don't like that (WHICH IS FUNNY BECAUSE I SHRINK BACK WHEN PEOPLE ARE HONEST WITH ME SO I DON'T KNOW)
What's the most strangest thing you have done?Strangest thing I've ever done. Wow. The first thing that comes to mind is me throwing myself into a trashbin just for the fun of it... (not very fun)
Do you ever get writer's Block? Give one tip on how to get through the dreaded writer's block? Of course!! Anyone who writes HAS experienced writer's block and WILL eventually. Nothing is going to ever come out perfect or flow the way you want to. Giving a tip is probably hard for me because I am CURRENTLY in a writer's block and its horrible, knowing you have the ideas but NO WAY TO PUT IT DOWN. I find the times I write best at and over time, they've changed. I found that I usually write better late at night and I play some music off my phone while I do so. Whatever works for you (: Also, Set goals for yourself. Tell yourself that you will finish a chapter today and once your done, look back at that and see what needs to be done to change it.
How do you react to negative comments?
To be honest, my story has very few reads, not enough to receive any hate comments. If I did, though, Imma be honest. I would probably feel extremely discouraged and react not in the best way? But I know you're supposed to ignore and focus on the positive so when the time comes, I will try that.
Places you want to visit –
Everywhere. Anywhere. Australia, the UK, Japan, New York. Literally ANYWHERE. (I live in California, where I'm sure a lot of people would love to be but...I'd rather be anywhere else)
Are you a good liar? Tell a lie.
Definitely not. I blush like crazy and avoid eye contact so much....
What's one thing people love the most about you?
I'm extremely loyal and if I care about you, I care about you hard and would do literally anything for you
Your hidden talents?
To be honest, like, none. I wish I could be double jointed or be able to lick my elbow...or maybe even like fly or be invisible. You know, normal things.
What makes you really mad? Name one pet peeve.
I hate when people have shitty lead pencils and it squeaks when they write, I CAN SPEND THE REST OF THIS INTERVIEW JUST RANTING ABOUT IT, FUCK I HATE IT.
Who are your favorite authors?
So I met John Green, Cassandra Clare, and RL Stine so I'm kind of obligated to say that they are haha. FUN FACT: Looking for Alaska by John Green is actually an inspiration for my story, Remembering Sunday so y'all should check out that story!! But I haven't really found that ONE author yet, yanno?
(I didn't have an idea, I just got the John Green vibe from Remembering Sunday, well I was right)
What do your family say about your writing?
They have never read my stuff so they don't know HOW my writing style is but they're extremely supportive and always make comments on me writing a book someday (which I hope!!) and my friends are the most supportive < 33
list your top three favorite books.
GAHHH, Thats so hard!!! I guess I will do paper ones and Wattpad stories. (Just a few that I can think of since I am an avid reader and have sooo many)
The Mortal Instruments (Series) by Cassandra Clare.
(side note: I know there's currently a TV series based on the books but if you're one who likes fiction and loves extensive and descriptive writing, this story is amazing. Honestly, the TV series does not do justice)
The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
(If you like mystery, this is the story for you!!! It's amazing and I loved going through and trying to figure out who murdered who and who did what, etc.)
The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena
(Again, this is a mystery but absolutely great!!! This couple is next door and when they come back, their newborn baby is missing and as the readers, we are just thrown into an adventure as we try to figure out who took the baby and why.)
And lastly, wattpad stories (they're just so great and I'm currently reading right now)
Cutting Through the Haze by HayleBales
Lethal Lust by acetylcholinee
When Silver Met Gold by IEscapist (Dies)
SORRY, IF THIS WAS KINDA LONG.
Which person would you like to meet from WP and why? Tag them.
IEscapist because we've been chatting a lot over PM and she's just amazing!! (,-:
(I love you baby! *blows kiss*)
Favourite Quote –
"You smell like a baby prostitute." -Janis Ian (Mean Girls, obviously)
What do you think about IEscapist? (okay I'm behaving like an attention seeker here)
She's my baby and I will protect her at all costs.
(Background music: Rockabye by Clean Bandit)
Any insane wish? Name one.
To make people happy with my stories and have them genuinely enjoy it
Are you living the life you really want to live?
Not right now, no. But that's also because I'm not an adult yet and I'm not doing things that make me happy. But I will get there in a few years (:
Relationship status?
Single. Hit me up ladies (-;
(HAHAHAHAHA Go ahead girls! Though she is as straight as my silky hair *flips hair*)
Best thing about being YOU?
When it really comes down to it, I don't care all that much what people think and I still am me, always. No matter what. Yes, I am a girl and I am kinda gay and I'm kind of weird but I'm okay with that? It's me. And you guys should be okay with you you guys are to because you can't be anyone else.
Is being a writer a gift or a curse?
Gift definitely. I get to interact with you guys and create things off the top of my head or things I've been working on for years!! Definitely a gift.
You only get 3 words to describe yourself – what are they?
Loyal, Honest, and Liberal.
Do you have a crush on someone? If yes, any message for them?
No, not really right now. I'm just kind of figuring things out.
Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you?
I prefer to see where an idea takes me but if I have some sort of an idea for an outline, I stick with it.
What do you think about The Freedom Awards? Would you like to suggest something to better it next time?
Maybe more entries for a little bit more of a competition. Also judges who grade harder. I entered my story and won first place, which is extremely surprising. I was also a judge though and I think I graded pretty hard because my expectations are extremely high. But I'm not so sure the other judges did the same.
(They did judge with great efforts and there were so many times we were confused who should win and who shouldn't and your book is love, believe it babe)
How do you feel about winning a Freedom Award?
Amazing, privileged and completely humble. I just hope it really gets my story out there.
Any Message for the people of Wattpad?
CHECK OUT MY STORY: REMEMBERING SUNDAY BY lorenaariel (ME!!) and YOU MIGHT JUST LIKE IT. IT'D MEAN A LOT AND IF YOU PM ME, I'D MORE THAN LIKELY READ YOUR STORY IN RETURN. PEACE.
It was so fun to have you here Lorena, I love ya baby you did a great job and now I would want you to hug me once and then take your leave *grins* I hope you enjoyed this interview.
So Audience I hope you guys enjoyed this too, please let me know your views and comment on our author's answers. What do you think? INLINE COMMENTS WILL BE SO MUCH FUN, NO?
