Times you have committed PDA with Dimitri (Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd)

The Blue Lions route is the second route I did.

I relate to Dimi.

I saw the idea of "No premarital hand holding" Dimitri and that concept makes my heart warm.

Break the tall traumatized mans out of his spooky spell.

THIS IS PRE TIMESKIP

[This chapter mentions trauma very briefly and a ton of sweetness.]

The first time you touched him, it was loud.

It was loud and overwhelming.

Loud, overwhelming, and blazing hot.

Loud, overwhelming, blazing hot, and-

They wouldn't stop. The voices kept on. On and on and on and on and on and-

His fathers voice rung out the loudest.

How could you feel you deserve them? You are a monster. You let us all die.

No. That wasn't true.

Glenn's voice followed soon after.

Revenge. That's all you need. Revenge.

Revenge on who? The Flame Emperor? No one knows who he is. How could he take revenge on someone he doesn't know?

His mother reprimanded him.

You dare to distract yourself from your mission? You know what you must do.

What you must do. What you must do. You must, you must, you must, YOU MUST-

And then there was a hand on his shoulder. Your hand. Your warm hand. He could feel it through his uniform. He flinched. He could feel himself flinch. His shoulder tensed, then relaxed.

It's you. It's just you. You're alive. Alive and with him. Alive, with him, and not begging him for revenge.

It was loud, and then it was quiet.

The second time you touched him was completely on accident.

Professor Hanneman had arranged a new seating chart, much to his chagrin.

He was placed by your side.

He doesn't hate you, far from it. In fact, he has very strong feelings for you.

He doesn't want you to become one of them. The voices that haunt him every day. The headaches that keep him awake every night. The nightmares every time he closes his eyes.

You are not one of them.

You are alive.

Alive and accidentally bumping his shoulder looking for something in your book bag. His whole body froze. Yes, it was an accident. Yes, he wants you to do it again but on purpose this time. No, he has no idea how his awkward self would go about asking you to do that. You're not even married! PDA is strictly off limits until marriage.

.

.

.

Did he just inadvertently admit to wanting to marry you?

Yes.

Yes he did.

You had asked him to pair up for the partner project Professor Hanneman had assigned your class. His response of "yes" was almost so rushed you didn't hear it properly so he repeated it slowly. You smiled at him then turned your attention back to what the professor was saying.

He couldn't focus for the rest of the lesson.

_____________________________________________________________

The third time you touched him was on purpose.

It was after the Battle of Eagle and Lion. And Deer. But for some reason they weren't involved in the name. Claude pouted about that for a few days.

You had won! Your class had won by a landslide! You had been declared the MVP as well!

Ashe was the first one to run up and congratulate you.

"Well done, Y/N! You did amazingly in that battle!" His eyes were sparkling and wide as he complimented you. Ashe had taken your hand in his and was swinging it up and down like a little kid. You laughed loudly at that.

"We wouldn't have won if we weren't an amazing team! Everyone did splendidly," you said in return and Ashes cheeks went red. The silver haired archer gave the back of your hand a small kiss before moving to congratulate Annette.

Sylvain approached you next, throwing one arm around your shoulder.

"Great job, little cub! You really showed the other two classes who's boss," Sylvain had given you that nickname because you were fierce in battle, showing no mercy. That and he knew about your crush on Dimitri and since Dimitri was often called a lion... It just fit. You didn't know about that second reason though.

The red heads other hand went into your hair, messing it up until it was all out of place.

"Ugh, now I've got to fix my hair," you grouched and Sylvain laughed. "Thank you though, Syl." Sylvain gave you a small wave before talking to Ingrid.

Felix also approached you. Said nothing, gave you a fist bump. You smiled widely at him. He nodded at you. Then he walked away.

Dedue even went up to you. Didn't know what to do or say. Very awkwardly and stiffly patted you on the head, ruining your hair more. You gave up on caring about your hair and smiled at the taller Duscur man. He gave the tiniest hint of a smile in return. Then he left.

It was you who had approached Dimitri. You grabbed both of his hands in yours.

"Wonderful battle, wasn't it?" You asked with a bright smile.

"Y-yes, yes it was," Dimitri stuttered. You were holding his hands. You, the gorgeous, brilliant, you, were holding his monstrous blood stained hands. Hands that have killed. Hands that have taken lives. Hands stained with the deaths of many. Hands that-

Right now were being held by your gentle, warm ones. Gentle and warm hands that just won the mock battle for your house. Gentle and warm hands that have created intelligent plans and written beautiful words. Gentle and warm hands that were the only thing he could focus on.

Until you kissed both of his gloved hands.

His brain short circuited.

You giggled softly before letting go of his hands, moving to talk to another of your classmates.

His mind replayed that situation as he fell asleep at night.

The fourth time... He also thinks about late at night.

You were found in the courtyard past curfew. Once Felix had reported this news to him, his mind threw him into a panic.

Were you okay? Were you injured? Were you dead?

Oh no. Oh no no no. You can't. You can't be dead. You can't become one of them.

You were fine. He found you lying on a blanket on your back, staring up at the stars. He couldn't help the sigh of relief that escaped his lips.

You heard the sound and turned in the direction of it. It was just the man you had fallen for. You smiled widely at him then motioned for him to lie down next to you. He did just that.

"So. Any particular reason you're out this late at night?" You asked him once he had settled onto the blanket next to you.

"I..." He sighed. You looked at him, gesturing him to continue. "I had a nightmare."

"Oh, I get those too," you remarked so casually. How could you be so casual? You didn't know what his nightmares entailed. You didn't know how the voices screamed at him to take his revenge. To take their revenge. Revenge revenge revenge-

Your soft voice took him out of his spiral.

"You see that star?" You pointed at a bright star in the sky above the two of you. His eyes followed where you were pointing. He hummed, asking you to go on.

"That's the North Star. A creative name, I know," you laughed and he let out a small breathy laugh. "Sailors would use that star to find their way home. They would turn their heads to the sky and would change their course of direction depending on where they were positioned in relativity to this particular star. It's one of the brightest ones in the sky meaning it's quite close to our planet. Many many millions of miles away, yet close. Just like the sun." Dimitri had turned to face you, watching your expressions and gestures intently. Amusedly. You pointed to a constellation.

"You see that line? I've had conversations with Hapi about it and she says it looks like a man and the straight line of stars looks like a belt. Now I can't always see the outline of the man but the belt, I can see. Yuri said it looked like a fishing rod," you laughed again and Dimitri laughed with you. You kept talking.

"I talked with Flayn about this once. We theorize that every star in the sky is a person who's passed on," Dimitri tensed at this. The idea of the dead being in the sky, watching him when he has his nightmares and migraines wasn't a pleasant one. He let you continue. "Every life goes to the sky, becoming a guiding, guardian star to protect and watch over those who need safety during the night." Why did this idea make him sick to his stomach?

"I would like to disprove this theory, Y/N," Dimitri piped up. "I do not believe that to be possible. I apologize, but I do not agree."

"Oh? Then what do you think?" You asked. Dimitri started to sweat. He didn't think you would ask something like this. Does he tell you about the voices? Does he tell you about his night terrors and migraines? Does he tell you that he's afraid of you haunting him someday too?

You noticed his terror. He was taking too long to respond and you looked at him. He was shaking minutely.

That's when you decided.

You turned onto your side to fully face him then wrapped your arm around him, cuddling into his chest. He froze. You were so close to him. So close and so warm. So close, so warm, and so alive.

You lifted your face to kiss along his jaw. He finally relaxed into your embrace, throwing his outside arm over your own body.

"Y/N..." He muttered into your hair. "I didn't know you..."

"I... What?"

"Do you... Want to... Go to tea? Tomorrow after class?" He asked shyly, refusing to remove his face from your hair.

"Dimitri. I would love to. And if this is your way of asking to court me, I would also love that," you responded softly. You were able to pick up on exactly what he intended to ask, the hidden meaning behind his words.

He was so glad you said yes.

He was going to make sure you never ended up amongst the ranks of the dead.

And right now, they were silent.
