Chapter 27: Open my way to love and my eyes to happiness

    "I'm sorry to tell you, my friend, but you can win the title for the biggest idiot. I didn't think you could be even more stupid than you used to be, but it seems like anything is possible.„" the blond-haired boy says and laughs later, and the other one just refrains from pointing his middle finger.

     "Shut up, shortie." the bandanna-boy mumbles under his breath, looking at the door in front of them. "I already told you everything is under my control." he comments after and Jimin just chuckles. 

     "You animal, you kissed him in the hospital?" Jimin whispers in an amused tone, and the other one just rolls his eyes. "Horny bitch." he continues in the same amused voice, as Taehyung gets up from the chair. 

       "Jimin, I told you because I need advice, not because I wanted you to laugh at me. " the captain comments in a more serious tone this time, and Jimin just  nods, then gets up from the chair at his turn. 

     So yeah, the short story: After Taehyung kissed Jungkook, the tattooed boy started yelling at him and told him to leave his room, and the older one did not want to cause a scandal in a hospital, so he left. And when Jimin returned to see Jungkook's condition, he found his best friend standing in the hallway and walking around in a circle as if he were crazy. And we already know all too well that Taehyung can't keep secrets from Jimin, so he immediately told him what had happened. And now, for more than half an hour, none of them have any idea what to do next.

     "Yeah, sorry." the blond haired-boy says, then straights his voice. "You said he answered the kiss, didn't you? That means he wanted it too. " 

     Taehyung thinks a few seconds then turns his attention to his best friend. Yeah, he has right. Even though the older boy started the kiss, Jungkook answered in just a few seconds, and even more, Taehyung can swear he felt how the younger one was smiling in the kiss (his eyes were closed so he couldn't see for sure). So that means nothing is forced, right?

      "Then why did he start yelling at me after that? " the bandanna-boy asks, voice somehow annoyed and sad, and the blond-shorty chuckles again. 

      "I do not really know. Maybe he got confused? Maybe he doesn't know exactly how he feels about you? "

     Taehyung becomes even more irritated than before. Why? Because he really has no idea how he should understand Jungkook's actions. The younger boy knows quite well that his roommate loves him. And if he hadn't really liked it, wouldn't he have tried to push him aside even harder? I mean, yeah, it's true that Jungkook told him quite clearly that he didn't want to have anything to do with him, but something about the younger one's eyes, made Taehyung think of one thing: maybe Jungkook is trying to hide again, and pretending to be someone else.

       And maybe (just maybe!!!) the younger one even has feelings for Taehyung at his turn, but he is somehow too afraid in showing them. He may also see Taehyung more than just a friend, but something holds him back and he can't admit it. It's not the first time when Jungkook hides from the others, pretending he doesn't feel anything. After all, who would kiss back a person for whom they feel nothing but friendship? Maybe just at some stupid games, but what happened about forty minutes ago was not a game at all.

      "And what should I do now, Jimin? With everything happened those days, what should I tell him? I mean ... he knows I like him, but I have no idea how he feels. " the captain admits, then sighs. "Why does it seem so easy in movies to say how you feel? Why do happy endings seem so inevitable there? " he asks after, and his best friend smiles somehow sadly, then shrugs. 

      "Because life is so much harder than a movie, Tae. And we can't wait for certain a happy ending in real life, but we can fight for one. If this life only gave us happiness, then what would be the charm? " the shorter one comments, and the other one just listens intently. "It would be best to talk to him as openly as possible. You kissed, so you better fix everything as soon as possible. It doesn't matter if you are in the hospital or what happened recently. " he finishes and Taehyung just smiles a little, feeling more assured, even if he doesn't know why.

     "Yeah, you have right. I should talk with him as fast as possible. I want to know from him what happened in the past, and to talk about his addiction as well. But I think we should start talking about what we feel. We can start with the that i guess. "

     "Then what are you waiting for? A party or something? Go and tell him all this. "

     At this Taehyung immediately turns to look at him, as his eyes become bigger.

       "Right now? But what if he is still angry? What if... if he punches me? " the bandanna-boy asks as his Jimin starts laughing not very subtle, trying to understand what happened with his brave best friend.

        "Then you can punch him as well." the blond haired-boy jokes but the other one doesn't look amused at all.

        "I would never hit him. " Taehyung complains and the other one rolls his eyes.

         "Yeah, whatever you say, whipped bitch." Jimin mumbles, looking amused at his best friend. "I don't think he would hit you after he kissed you, not even an hour ago. That's if you tell him exactly what you think, what you feel and what you know. Tae, he already knows you like him, so why are you so reserved? "

        "Maybe because I am afraid I'll be rejected? Maybe I am afraid that he will tell me the kiss was nothing but something wrong, like a mistake? It's not like he didn't say that before. " the boy with the bandanna whispers not very confidently, then looks at the floor.

        "If all people first looked at the fears, then no one would achieve anything in this life. Life is about overcoming your fears, and the fact that you are afraid of rejection is nothing compared to the pain Jungkook has felt in the past, and probably still does. You should think about that. "

     And Taehyung feels more than just decided what he should do. Jimin is right. If he avoids what happened between the two of them, he would run away from his own feelings. He needs to talk to Jungkook about everything.

       "You have right, midget." the bandanna-boy comments and the other one just looks at him in an ugly glance. "If you see that I can't get out of his room, you know he's probably been beaten me to death. " he jokes later and turns his face to the tattooed boy's room, taking a deep breath for some reason.

       "I go to buy some food, I am hungry after all this talking." the blond haired-boy comments at his turn, as the captain just opens Jungkook's door, then enters slowly, and his gaze immediately falls on the figure of the younger boy, who is in front of the window, standing and with his back to him.

       "I don't know if the doctors said you were allowed to stand already. " Taehyung starts speaking, and somehow his voice makes the younger one startle very subtly, but he doesn't turn his face to him.

      "And I don't think it's your business. It has nothing to do with you. " Jungkook responds in the same cold, distant tone that Taehyung is already accustomed to, while the older one slowly approaches him.

     And when he gets close enough to grab his right hand and force the younger one to turn around so he can look at him, he doesn't know if Jungkook has turned red because of this action, or because of the heat in the room.

      "What if I want you, Kook? " this question, said in the same thick tone, makes the younger boy swallow dry, feeling like he doesn't have much time until he has to give up.

       He feels like he doesn't have much time until all the walls he has been building will go away at the same time, and Jungkook will be left without any other protection. He will be left to the prey of a damn hot bandanna-lover, sensitive and kind at the same time. He will be left vulnerable, in the face of true feelings, feelings that he has tried his best to ignore them.

      "Tae, please... I-"

       "Jungkook, look into my eyes and tell me that you didn't feel anything when we kissed. Look me in the eye and tell me you have absolutely no feelings for me, and that was really a mistake. " the older one cuts his reply, as the tattooed boy moves his glance at the floor for a few seconds. 

     He feels he can't do that. He feels he can't lie to him, looking him in the eyes. Because yes, so far he has been confused about what he feels. Until now, he couldn't really read all those butterflies in his stomach every time Taehyung took him in his arms, or even approached him with a warm word. He couldn't say exactly why he felt he had to smile, every time Taehyung looked at him as if he deserved more, or tried to show him that. He did not understand the love he also had for the older one, because until now, he had never felt anything like that for anyone else.

      But the kiss of an hour ago ... that little gesture triggered an avalanche of conflicting opinions in Jungkook's heart, mind and soul. This made him to realize that he hadn't seen his roommate for a while, just as a friend, even though he is afraid to admit it even now. He doesn't want to bring the bandanna-boy into his darkness either, although he would really like to taste a little of his light.

      "Don't you understand how disconnected from the reality I really am, Kim? " the younger boy says, and the other listens to him without interrupting again. "Can't you see how much I try to put you aside, just because I don't want to hurt you? You don't understand how much I have started to like you at my turn, but am I afraid to do something about it, because I don't want you to suffer? "

       Taehyung is speechless for a few seconds, not knowing if what he heard is true or just a fabrication of his imagination. Did Jungkook say he likes him too? He ... did he really say that?

       "You... what did you said? You like me too? As... as what, Jeon? As a friend or what?"

      The older one insists (because he needs to know for sure!) and the younger one just sighs, as the scarlet color from his cheeks becomes even more obvious. 

       "I... I like you the way you like me." Jungkook finally admits, as the bandanna-boy feels he is about to pass put because of the happiness. "But I am... too scared, Tae." he whispers after, and the older one lifts his chin again with his long fingers, forcing him to look at him.

       "Afraid of what?" 

       "Afraid of hurting you."

     Taehyung just smiles, looking at the beautiful eyes of the tattooed boy. He swears that this moment is one of the most precious moments of his life. And he's not going to give up now that he knows how Jungkook feels.

      "Someone told me that fear is the root of desires. Let your wishes come true, Kook. And let me help you overcome your fears. "

     And with that being said, Taehyung pulls him closer by embracing his waist once again, then presses his own lips over his, while Jungkook feels like he's losing his temper. And as if they were both already used to it, the younger boy puts his hands around the other's neck, closing his eyes and getting lost in the moment. Yes, life is surrounded by choices, and now his choice is Taehyung. And maybe this choice will be wrong in the future, but at the moment, it seems the most perfect.

      "I... I have no idea what to say. " the younger boy whispers after the kiss is over, and the older one just smiles broadly.

      "Be my boyfriend, Kook." Taehyung says in an extremely careful tone, and the younger one feels that he is forgetting how to breathe. "Will you let me show you how beautiful the world can be? Can you let me into your life, please? "

      And just as life prepares surprises for us, just as some moments do not turn the world upside down, so the choices we make will create our future. And Jungkook's choice comes from the heart, but not from the mind, although it may be a bit wrong:

       "Yes."

Maybe this chapter is was really uninteresting, but hey, I made them boyfriends finally, right?:)))
