April 25, Saturday
"God, I can't wait for my birthday."
"Random, but ok. Why can't you wait besides the obvious: cake."
"Because once I'm eighteen then I finally have access to my bank account! Which means I'll finally have the money to travel!"
"Travel, huh? A dream of yours?"
"Its a goal, yes. There's just so much that I want to see! Think of the cultures and the way people live!"
"Hmm. Well if you ever come to America, I can be your guide. Show you everything you should see."
"Deal! We'd finally be able to meet as well!"
"Yup and then you can fall for my good looks!"
"Ha! No I won't."
"Willing to bet on it?"
"Why not? I love a good bet. Especially when I know that I'll win."
"Don't get to cocky."
"How is it that the cockiest person I know just told me to not get cocky?"
"I think that's a bad sign for your cocky levels."
"Don't worry. I'm not trying to take your title of king of arrogance."
"Don't forget the good looks part. King of arrogance and good lucks."
"You're impossible."
"All part of my charm, tesoro. When is your birthday anyways?"
"Again with the mysterious name. It's May 8."
"So if May 8 is when you turn eighteen, when do you start traveling?"
"My first flight is booked May 11."
"Oh really? To where is this flight going?"
"I'll tell you when I land."
"Ooh. The suspense. However will I survive? Curiosity killed the cat, remember?"
"And satisfaction brought it back. You'll be fine."
"That's a very long time to wait to be brought back."
"Well lucky you, cats have nine lives."
"That's just a story."
"All the stories are true."
"Was that a shadowhunter reference?"
"Did you understand a shadowhunter reference?"
"Touché."
"I didn't know you could read."
"Did you think I couldn't?"
"Well..."
"Don't answer that."
"What's your favorite book or series in general?"
"Hmm. Probably the Arc of a Scythe series by Neal Schusterman. You?"
"Well I don't want to say shadowhunters now. So probably the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas."
"Have you seen the Italian edition of the series?"
"You speak Italian?"
"Yeah. My mom speaks Spanish, my dad speaks Italian, and both speak English. So I grew up speaking all three."
"Wow. I speak English, picked up some French from my mom, and enough Spanish to get by. But I'm only fluent in English."
"I mean that's cool. You speak about the same number of languages as me then."
"Yeah. Wait—is tesoro Italian?"
"I regret saying anything now."
*End of Call*
