You were there when grief struck hard;

Engulfed me like a dull petrichor exude the mud

In a mute, monotonous evening.

How can I forget you!

You were there when all abandoned;

Friends turned to acquaintances, then were gone;

like dunes dissolve into nothing.

How can I forget you..

You were there when I was truly dead;

Lost in my sea of thoughts, emotions ignored, 

Vanquished, I felt like drowning..

How can I ever forget you?

For you found me joy when all was lost.

And it took your unyielding touch to thaw my frost;

At last, I found you, my everything.
