Why am I here... why am I like this.

Btw I kinda want yours and Allura's relationship to be rocky, like a princess vs princess kind of thing, but don't worry, y'all don't hate each other.

Edit: Y'all hate each other, but it's like a loving-type of hate LOLOL

Back at the castle you were in your room, lying on your bed, reading a book. Although your eyes just skimmed the page without actually taking in any of the words. You were still thinking things over, going over scenerios and ideas. What was that creature at the bottom of Thayserix? If it wasn't P/n, then why did it sound like her? Why was it luring you to the deep bottom of the planet? You shut the book and threw it over to the other side of the room where it slammed into the wall.

'Thinking hurts... ow... ow!' You groaned and tried to smother yourself with the pillow. There was a knock on your door before it slid open.

"What are you doing?"
You peeked out from under the pillow at the mullet head.

"Trying to die, why?" You replied, placing the pillow back on your face. You felt it slowly being lifted from your head. "Give it back!" You lazily reached for it.

"I'm not gonna let you kill yourself," he stated blankly, throwing the pillow away from you. You sighed and sat up.

"So, why are you here?" You asked.

"You've been quiet ever since we left Thayserix. Did something happen?" Keith asked, staring down at you with both a curious and concerned expression. You were quiet for a moment, hemming and hawing about whether or not to actually say what's on your mind.

"Ehh... nothing of importance, really. Just was thinking of some things," you replied, shrugging lightly at the end. Keith didn't seem to believe you.

"Are you sure? It's not you to be so quiet unless something happened," he said, crossing his arms. You sighed.

"You're just gonna keep asking until I answer, right?" You asked, closing your eyes.

"If that's what'll get you to talk, then yes," he replied. You opened your eyes only to roll them.

"Something was at the bottom of Thayserix. I don't know what it was, but whatever it was, it was mimicking P/n," you explained.

"P/n?" Keith repeated, though he didn't need you say it twice. You nodded.

"Yes. I'm assuming that creature was somehow mimicking P/n to get me down there," you explained further.

"If you knew it wasn't P/n why did you go down there?" He asked. You shook your head and shrugged.

"I guess there's still a teeny, eeny, bitty part of me that still believes she's alive. So when I first heard that bark, I guess that part of me took over," you tried to explain, but it still didn't come out right. Keith stared at you for a moment, not really knowing what to say. "Speaking of which..." You looked up at him.

"What about you? It seemed you calmed down when you, Lance, and Allura found me," you said, leaning back onto your hands. Keith's eyes darted to the floor and didn't answer. "Alright. Well, I'm going to the training deck. Join me if you wish." You got up and brushed past him. He turned his head and watched the doors close behind you.

You, the Paladins, and the other two were on the bridge. Everyone sat in their respective seats except for Allura. Instead, you sat in the Blue Paladin seat. On the screen in front of you was a blaring alarm with a warning sign.

"What's going on?" Keith asked from the front of you.

"Yeah, these have never gone off before," Pidge said from her seat. You looked at Coran and Allura, and saw their faces. Shock was written across them, but so was something else.

"Allura, what is it?" Lance asked.

"Looks like you guys just saw a ghost," Hunk spoke up.

"That's just the thing. It's an old Altean distress code. One used by King Alfor's ships," Coran explained.

"Could it be? Are we not the last Alteans alive?" Allura asked, sounding hopeful.

"Wait. What if someone's cloning the signal to try and lure us in?" Keith asked.

"The signal is from an Altean ship, and we're going to find it," Allura declared, activating the crystal and having the pillars rise up.

"Wait a sec, I agree with Keith. Anybody can make a signal look like anything. If this is a trap, you could all be killed," you warned, looking over at Allura to try and make her think this through.

"I'm not missing an opportunity to find more of my kind and that's final," she settled, glaring at you. You sighed and rubbed your temple, leaning back onto the chair.

"Your choice..." You muttered, not going to be held responsible for any of her stupid actions. Allura activated the crystal and a wormhole opened up. The ship entered through the wormhole and exited out where the distress signal was. In front of you was a large spiral-hole of death with a ship hanging out of it one end.

"That looks like a Tel-Galax exploration shuttle. One of my father's deep space vessels," Allura explained.

"According to the ship's identifiction code, It's Commodore Trayling's ship. But I don't see any records of its destination or mission," Coran explained further, checking its stats on the holographic screen.

"What happened to it?" Lance asked, staring at it.

"Is it stuck in a wormhole?" Hunk asked as well.

"That's unlike any wormhole I've ever seen," Coran replied. More screens popped up.

"There's a massive amount of energy emanating from it, centered right where the ship is stuck," Pidge said. You stared at the spiral-hole of death, squinting your eyes at it. You had a faint idea at the back of your head that poked at you, but you were only 10% sure it was correct.

"We have to see if anyone is aboard. They may need our help," Allura said.

"We could send a probe over to it, see if we can get some kind of idea what this thing is?" Pidge suggested.

"Do it," Keith ordered. A probe was launched into space near the spiral-hole of death.

"The energy shows no signs of radioactive decay and it's not thermal," Pidge said.

"It's not gravitational, our probe is steady on course, and the light is radiating out, not in, like it would in a black hole," Hunk explained further.

"But out from where?" Pidge asked. Now you were 15% sure.

"That energy signature... I know it. It's radiating quintessence!" Coran exclaimed. The probe began to go into the bright light, but promptly exploded.

"Ooh! That's weird," Hunk said first.

"Okay, well, let's not go anywhere near there," Lance added.

"We must," Allura said.

"Hold on. Didn't you just see what happened?" Hunk asked, looking at her as if she was crazy.

"Voltron's compositional strength far exceeds anything else in this universe. We received an Altean distress call, which must mean that someone is alive on the ship. As Paladins of Voltron, it is our duty to help," Allura went on.

"Princess, I still think there's a chance that this whole thing is a trap," Keith warned.

"Even if it's not a trap, it's far too dangerous to go in there," Coran added.

"I'll do it myself if I have to," Allura declared, walking away from her post. You shot up from your seat.

"Woah, woah, hold the fuck up." You grabbed Allura's wrist to halt her movements. She turned her head to look at you, and from her stern frown you could tell she was both unhappy about their warningsm and determined at the same time.

"Don't be stupid and make hasty decisions by yourself. This is a team," you said, your face stoic, but your eyes blazing.

"I am a Paladin of Voltron and in charge of taking care of the castle. I know what's best for me," Allura replied, trying to get her wrist out of your grip, but you didn't let go.

"If 'what's best for you' is throwing yourself into a mystery spiral of death, then you need to reevaluate your choice," you said, tightening your grip on her wrist.

"Do not speak to me like that."

"Then don't act as if you know everything, because you don't. And even if you did, not everything will go your way."

I love Allura, trust me, I do, but she's so stupid sometimes. Of course I understand why she would be, and why she would act like that, but at the same time...

Edit: No, she's pretty stupid and jumps headfirst, because she believes, or believed, all Alteans are good.

Ja ne!
