You made your way through the Winter Forest and came to a small clearing. You looked down at a patch of dirt and saw a scanner in the ground. You bent down and placed your hand on it. A green light outlined your hand, slowly moving down your palm. The clearing before you warbled away to reveal a dark, ruined forest. You see, way back before you were born, one of the kings of Glacies was testing a new explosive that could destroy everything in its range, down to a molecular level. He planned to test it in a part of the forest, far away from any civilizations as a precaution. However, the explosive was set off prematurely, and it ruined a small percentage of the forest. Dangerous radiation swept through it. The snow melted and because of that, the trees in that area died. The High Court made that part of the forest off limits to everyone, not just to the public. In case anyone tried to ignore the warnings and law, they created a space-time fold to hide the forest. The gravity generator that creates the space-time fold is hidden deep underground, and can only be shut off by an authority figure. The Ruined Forbidden Forest is was it was named. It's still extremely radioactive and dangerous. So no one from the team could've followed you, even if they tried.

Leaning against one of the dead trees was Shivv, her arms crossed.

"So you actually came, huh?" Her voice was sultry, her eyes half hooded.

"Do not misunderstand. I'm doing this for me. Not for you," you replied, now noticing how hot it was from the radiation. Shivv smiled and closed her eyes.

"But of course. I'm trusting this will be a battle like no other," she said, kicking off of the tree. Your face hardened, lips pressed into a thin line.

The seven of them sat around the bridge of the castle, quiet. Very unlike them. It was unnerving. The silence ate away at each of them like a hungry hungry hippo.

"Alright, listen up," Shiro spoke up, drawing their attention except for Lance. "I know we're worried about Y/n, but we have a war to fight. We can't waste time." He looked around at each of them.

"Y/n is the only reason why we've come so far. Without her, I don't know if we'd of been able to survive this long," Pidge commented.

"We all miss Y/n, but we can't let that us deter from the mission at hand," Shiro argued.

"Y/n said that if she doesn't contact us in two days, we should assume the worst," Keith said from across the room.

"Not to mention she's fighting a different version of herself, so we don't really know how that'll turn out," Hunk added. Everyone had their own way of coping with something that happened. However, the person they were most concerned about was Lance. He had not said a word the entire time they've gotten back to the castle. There was no readable expression on his face, but they could see the whites of his eyes were red.

Shiro sighed at how little morale they had when you were gone. Lance suddenly stood up from his chair and wordlessly walked away from the bridge.

"Lance? Where are you going?" Hunk called out to him, but he didn't respond and left the bridge.

Shivv vanished from your sight, a sword appearing in her hand. She appeared in front of you and swung the sword across her body.

You grabbed the blade with your hand and effortlessly halted her movements. She struggled against you, trying to overpower you, but you didn't budge. A struggling smirk etched across her face.

"Heh... you're... a lot stronger than you look... have you even been using your full strength in any of the battles you've been in?" She strained out. You tightened your grasp on the steel blade, ice coating it.

"Not necessarily," you replied, "I don't even know the true extent of my powers, so I've held back." Your stone expression never faltered. The smirk of Shivv's face widened to a maddening grin.

"Oh? Even when P/n died?"
Shivv went crashing through one of the thick trees. She fell to the ground with a loud thump. Branches flew everywhere and splinters shot through the air. You held the tip of her blade in your hand before shattering it like glass. The hand you used to push her was still held out.

"I didn't plan on using all of power because I planned to endure that hit with P/n. She spit me out last second and I couldn't do anything about it. Don't dare say I let P/n's death happen," you growled, your eyes beginning to glow. Shivv sat up from her position on the ground and stood up, unscathed. She brushed off the dust from her shoulders. Your eyes narrowed. "How do you know about P/n, anyway? How do you know what happened to her?"

"I believe we're wasting time. If you don't contact your friends in two days, they might think you're dead," Shivv avoided. In a flash, she went to the ground with you straddling her. Your face was dangerously close to hers.

"Answer my question you piece of shit," you hissed, your eyes turning to slits. Shivv was quiet for a moment.

"I've been watching you. For a while now. I know everything about you." A smirk stretched across her face. "I even know who has crushes on you." Your sword made contact with her throat, but a sheet of ice acting as armor blocked you.

"Stop fucking around! I don't care about who has a crush on me! Just how long have you been stalking me? How much do you even know about me?" You asked, pressing the sword harder to her throat, cracking the ice.

"More than you will ever know." Shivv's body shattered in ice beneath you.

You felt her presence appear behind you and your eyes widened. Shivv's leg connected to your side, sending you flying away from her. You crashed through another tree and smashed into a thick, rotting trunk. You skillfully blocked the oncoming sword that was aimed at your face. Shivv twisted her wrist and the point of her sword went into the bark of the tree. Your head was tilted away, but a thin line of blood pooled to the cut that grazed your cheek. You held out your hand and ice shot out of it. Shivv rolled out of the way and jumped back when ice spikes shot out of the ground.

You got off of the ground and back into a stance.

"Is that all you got?" Shivv taunted, a smirk coming across her face.

"Nope." You smirked back.

Ja ne!
