The steady flow of water was all you could hear. It was relaxing. Calming. Like you were meditating. Your eyes were open, but you felt relaxed. You didn't blink.

'You don't realize the power you have.'
Your eyes twitched in annoyance.

A light shone from where you heard the steady stream of water. Sitting right in front of it was a small figure, with their legs straight out. The shadows moved away and revealed a doll-like girl, sitting in front of you.

"Who are you?"

'I'm your madness.'

"... you're my madness?"

'Yes.'

"... okay, how the fuck do I leave?"

'Silly! You can't leave until your body is ready to.'

"Kill me."

'I can't do that either. The person who carried you to the ship is currently sitting in front of the cryopod you're in right now... how cute... young love~'

"Who?"

'Hehehehe~ I can't tell you~'

"Go scrape your toes on concrete."

"So when do you think she'll wake up?" Hunk asked, looking at the pod.

"I'm afraid I don't know. She sustained some serious injuries," Allura replied.

"So does that mean Y/n won the fight between her and Shivv?" Pidge asked from the steps.

"It's more than likely," Coran replied.

"I guess all there is, is to just wait until she's fully recovered," Shiro finally said. Lance and Keith had been oddly quiet. They were used to hearing Lance talk all the time. Sometimes saying something stupid and causing Keith to retort or correct him. It seems you really are the thing holding them together.

'Yes, that's true, however, live in the moment. Worry about circumstances later... you're doing it for pleasure and relief... not for anyone else.'

The cryopod's glass front dematerialized and you went stumbling out, half unconscious still. They quickly caught you in their arms and softly placed you on the floor.

"Hey, you alright?"

You slowly looked up, blinking owlishly.

Keith:

The mullet was the first thing you saw.

"Keith?" You said quietly, brows furrowing. "Why are you here?"

"What does it look like? I was making sure you were okay," he replied. You sighed and sat up out of his grasp. He frowned. "Are you alright? You've been out for a couple of days. What even happened?" You crossed your legs and rubbed your forehead.

"I don't even know man..." You replied tiredly. "That whole battle was weird. I didn't feel myself." 

"What happened?" Keith asked again, this time firmer.

"I don't think you'd want to know," you cautioned.

"I do. That's why I asked," Keith said, his expression and tone deadly serious. You two stared at each other for a while.

"Alright, if you're absolutely sure."

Pidge:

Quizzical brown eyes connected with wide purple and ice blue ones.

"Pidge?" You asked, your brows furrowing.

"Well look who's up," she teased with a smirk. You deadpanned at her before slowly sitting up, flinching every now and then.

"What happened?" You asked, looking around the healing pods.

"We found you unconscious in the middle of the woods," Pidge replied nonchalantly. You groaned lightly and rubbed your head.

"How long was I out?" You questioned.

"About a week."

"A WEEK!?" You yelled, confused beyond words.

"Well yeah. You had some pretty serious injuries," she replied calmly. You let out a sigh and slumped forward.

"What's been going on since I've been out?" You asked, looking up at her.

"Keith joined the Blade of Marmora for training and is now splitting his time between him and us now," she replied. Your mouth formed an O at the new information.

"I see..." You replied quietly, "... any luck on finding your brother and father?" She shook her head.

"No, not recently," she replied.

"I see," you said, smiling. "But don't worry. We'll find them." She returned your smile.

Hunk:

"Y/n? You, uh, you okay?" Hunk asked nervously, looking over you. You groaned lightly, but nodded anyway.

"Yeah, I'm fine... or as fine as I could be," you replied, sitting up out of his grasp.

"Are you sure? Cause you still look kinda pale..." He said, moving his eyes to look at your complexion. You sighed and rubbed your forehead.

"Yeah, yeah, I just... feel tired, is all..." You replied. You looked around the infirmary. "Where is everyone?"

"Asleep. Or on missions... it really depends on who you're talking about," he replied quickly, his eyes darting from side to side.

"Well, I can't blame them. I didn't really expect someone to stay here the whole time." You let out another sigh.

"So, you're okay now? You're not gonna pass out, or something, right?" He questioned. You let out a chuckle.

"Nah, I'm good. Just needed a few minutes." You smiled at him.

Lance:

"Y/n!"
Even through your slight daze, you still felt them placing their head over your shoulder.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to say those things to you! I feel horrible! I'm a horrible friend!" You let out a sigh. The only person capable of being this dramatic is the one and only—

"Lance," you groaned, wrapping your arms around his slim waist. "Calm down. It's fine."

"No, it's not."
You felt him physically deflate in your arms.

"For fucks sake, don't worry about it. It was spur of the moment. Not a big deal," you assured, pushing him away from you lightly. You heard him sniff violently. "Dude, don't do that on me." You sighed. He finally sat up.

"Sorry, sorry." He rubbed his eyes. "I'm... really glad you're okay." He looked at you with a small smile. You returned it and gently poked his forehead.

"I'm glad to be back."

Allura:

"Are you alright?"
You looked up before shooting back up into a sitting position.

"Allura?!" You exclaimed.

"Well, judging by your reaction, I'm assuming you're all right," she said with a smile. You looked around the infirmary.

"How long have I been out?" You questioned.

"About a week."

"A WEEK?!"

"You were severely injured. It was only natural for your body to take that long to recover," she explained calmly. You let out a quiet sigh and rubbed your face.

"Thanks for not letting me die," you said flatly.

"Of course. Losing a team member would be devastating in the fight against Lotor," she replied with a soft smile, though you saw that wasn't all there was to it.

"Thank you, Allura," you replied, "It means a lot."
