ahhhhHHHHHHHHHHHH
I just realized that because of season three there are so many plot holes with Zarkon's backstory... *sigh* all right, here we go. Longer chapter because I haven't updated since the beginning of August and it's the beginning of October...
Edit: Bout time you fuckin realized you illiterate bitch.
~
You and the rest of the paladins were riding in your lions and wolf to the planet Olkarion.
"Why doesn't anyone ever send a distress signal from a cool place?" Pidge asked out loud, though she was probably talking more to herself. "I hate the outdoors. Nothing but sunburn and poison oak."
"Can't really say I'm that extroverted either," you chimed in.
"I like it out here. It's quiet," Keith piped up. Suddenly, arrows flew up and past you in a barrage. An arrow attached itself to P/n.
"What was that?" Hunk asked.
"Uh, are we being attacked?" Keith asked.
"Good job, dumbass, you had to jinx us," you said, annoyed.
"Hey! It's not my fault!"
"Enough you two. I don't know, but something's dragging my lion down to the surface." Shiro said as the lions and P/n slowly descended down.
"Yeah, something's pulling Blue down, too."
When the lions and P/n landed on the ground in a small clearing, there were a small group of Olkari waiting with their weapons drawn.
"Are those wooden mech suits?" Hunk asked.
"Are you kidding me? We got taken down by a bunch of tree people!" Lance exclaimed, sounding more irritated than shocked. You hummed in thought, staring at them while Pidge made her way out of her lion.
~
You and the rest of the team were following Ryner up a hill. P/n was glued tightly to your side.
"When the Galra attacked, only a few thousand of us escaped the cities. We were forced to flee into the forest," Ryner explained.
"How long have you lived like this?" Shiro asked.
"Many decafeebs," she replied, "But, as you can see, our people are resilient. We never stopped evolving. Instead, we adapted our skills to the environment." P/n halted to paw at a few sticks, but stopped when she heard you cough at her. You all arrived at flat ground with Pidge running ahead of you. One of the Olkari created a flying bug out of sticks that flew past you all. P/n barked and chased after it.
"Coran was right, Ryner. You really are the most incredible engineers in the universe. To be able to switch with precision machinery to a bunch of sticks!" Pidge explained, trying to contain her excitement.
"Nature's designs are superior to any that we could devise," Ryner replied with a smile on her face.
"No offense, but I'll take my computer over a tree any day."
"You need to get out once in a while, Pidge," you said, crossing your arms and smirking a bit.
"You three can talk science later. Let's assemble Voltron and get rid of these Galra invaders," Shiro instructed.
"It's not that simple, I'm afraid. The Galra have our leader, Lubos."
"Lubos..." The other Olkari repeated sorrowfully.
"If you attack, who knows what they'll do to him," Ryner added on.
"Then we'll just have to rescue him," Shiro replied. You sighed through your nose quietly and whistled, waiting for P/n to come back to you. You saw her running back to you with the stick bug in her mouth. Your eyebrow twitched, but you bent down and plucked it from her mouth, placing it on the ground.
"Let's go, P/n."
*Bork*
~
"Um... Ryner, where are we?" Keith asked. Ryner had walked you all to another area of the forest, a little further away from their civilization.
"This is the armory," she replied. You immediately perked up at that.
"Armory?" You repeated, fidgeting from excitement. Ryner walked up to a tree and placed her hand on the trunk of it. Light emerged from her hand and travelled up the tree to a small bud that grew and fell from it, landing in front of you all like a giant rock. The ball unfolded into a cool robot-nature type fighter thing. Yeah, great description. (Edit: Damn, thanks for making it easier for me.)
"Cool!"
"Uh, can I get one of those?"
"Of course. You can each have one," Ryner replied, making a flower open, to reveal several headdresses. "Now, the key to operating it, is understanding that the nanocellulose responds to electrical impulses from the neural pathways connected through this." She handed you each one. You looked at it and spun it from side to side.
"Do what now?" Lance asked.
"Mm. Makes my tongue itchy."
You elbowed Hunk in the ribs.
"Idiot! Why would you lick that!? Hello!?? Germs??"
"Y/n, calm down," Shiro softly ordered.
"Calm my ass! I'm always calm! *borf*."
Shiro just sighed, but didn't say anything else. He's used to it, really.
"That's your interface?" Pidge asked as she placed it on her head.
"Of course, all commands need to come as binary coded messages," Ryner replied. Pidge turned and walked up to a tree.
"So, like this," she said as she placed her hand on the tree and closed her eyes. While she did that, you and P/n walked up to a tree and looked at it before placing your hand the trunk and closing your eyes. Like Pidge's, light shot out of your hand and programmed a bot which fell from the tree right next to Lance, who yelped in surprise. When it unfolded, instead of the lights being a bright, light teal, it was a glowing purple.
"Uh... is it supposed to do that?" You asked, glancing at Ryner who just stared at it.
"I'm not sure I fully understand either," she replied. You sighed and rubbed your temple.
"Great... I fucked up another planet with my Galra ass self..." You muttered before climbing in. P/n got into an aggressive stance and growled at it. "P/n stop being stubborn and get your cute ass in here. I'm not cheating on you, dear lord."
~
You, Ryner, and Pidge, in your rolling battle suits, were making your way towards the city.
"This way! To the edge of the forest! To save our king!"
~
Once you got to the edge of the forest, you all looked out onto the city where the Galra have taken over. You looked around, seeing the tall tower where Ryner said you were able to get in. Your attention then turned to the giant ass metal box.
"P/n..." You turned your head to her. "I don't think things are the way they seem."
"Okay, need to act fast," Shiro's voice drew you out of your own thoughts. "Everyone, back to base. I have a plan."
"First, we'll need to get to the top of that tower."
You were riding with the other's in the Green Lion with P/n on your shoulder.
"Since the green lion has stealth capabilities, Pidge, you're the drop ship."
"Don't objectify her!"
"Y/n."
"Just sayin..."
"You'll take Keith, Hunk, Lance, me, and Y/n to the roof, then drop back to a safe position."
The door slowly slid open and the five of you dropped down. The four of them used their jetpacks to lighten their drop, but you fell past them and softly landed on the ground. You looked around before the other's joined you and Shiro placed an egg-like thing on the ground which expanded.
"After the drop, we'll use a sensor to scan the building for any Olkari biorhythms."
You turned your head and summoned your sword the same time Shiro turned and ran out of an exit. The four of you followed and hugged the wall when two sentries came walking by. When they were gone, you all ran down the hallway and came across a closed door. Inside you heard what could on be described as painful(?) moans and sobbing. The door slid open and you all discreetly ran inside, seeing someone sitting on a chair, bawling their eyes out at a romance film. Your eyebrow twitched.
"Betrayal!" He exclaimed, "He loves you!"
"King Lubos?" Shiro asked questioningly, walking closer to him. Lubos sat up and turned around to face him.
"Yes? Who are you? The jesters I requested?"
Your anger immediately spiked, blowing a fuse, and causing Lance to jump away from you in both shock and surprise.
"Um, we're here to, like, rescue you?" Lance replied, though it sounded like a question. Lubos hummed before he set off an alarm and multiple sentries came out.
"Oh, I know sure as hell you did not just do that!" Your eyes glowed in anger and it took P/n and Lance to hold you back from killing him.
"You could have just said, "no thanks," Hunk piped up.
"Looks like someone came to rescue you, Lubos," the Commander acknowledged, walking in on the scene.
"You turned your back on your people to save your own skin?" Shiro asked, turning towards him. Your anger went to a whole other level. Lance could practically feel the rage coming off of you.
"I'm doing this for my people! They wanted to fight the Galra, but they are too powerful! The Galra could destroy us!"
"The Galra aren't the only ones who are going to destroy you you piece of utter shit..."
Everyone turned their attention to you. Ice had slowly coated the floor and your right eye (blue) was glowing, but you had no iris.
(Like dat^^)
Lance let go of you in shock.
"So your definition of helping is aiding the Galra in enslaving your people to save your own back?!" You exclaimed, your ice spreading across the floor, causing the paladins to back away from you.
"Don't make me the bad guy! He forced me to do it!" Lubos defended, pointing at the Commander.
"Did he force feed you too?" You asked, your voice lowering dangerously.
"Er..."
You cracked your knuckles.
"I'll kill you..."
Ja ne!
