A long time ago, there was a girl who lied. Her entire life was a lie. She couldn't stop lying, it was in her blood. She wanted a way to ensure that her lies remained secret.

So she created the Chest of Lies.

She wrote every lie she had ever uttered on a scroll and placed it inside the box, sealing it forever. She used the lost soul of a pirate to make the lock.

But the power of her lies came back to haunt her. 

The more she lied, the greater the evil power in the box became. It grew and grew, and one day she heard a voice. The voice called her to the cave she had sealed the box under.

Her lies attacked her. 

They took her and trapped her soul in the box, ever deceiving, ever regretting, and a little white lie broke free of the chest.

It crawled across the earth, reeking havoc where ever it went. When it's power dwindled, it found new liars to follow and suck life from, eventually killing them and sending their souls to the Chest of Lies for all eternity. 

A great wizard eventually became aware of the little white lie and trapped it inside a rope bracelet, gifting it to a skilled and truthful warrior who would not fall to the whispers and lies.

Then the warrior died.

He went on a journey and never returned, taking the bracelet with him. With no living soul to be bound to, the little white lie wandered the earth once again, killing and harvesting souls and lies.

To this very day.
