Chapter 3

Sophie packed her things. She stopped at Havenfield, laying on the bed in her room, with her child crying next to her. Tears rolled down her cheeks, she knew she wasn't able to take care of a 1-year-old child by herself.

She wrapped her arms around her child, trying to calm down after everything.

She didn't expect the Black Swan to send a message, but an envelope flew inside her window with a simple command written on it.

Come. Now.

Sophie sighed and handed her child to her mother, who was staying in her room.

"Well, I didn't expect all of you to be here." Sophie said as she saw the whole pack waiting there for her. She looked at Biana sadly, and Sophie knew she wasn't in the mood of talking to her.

"Hey, you okay?" Sophie asked Biana, taking the risk.

"Fine." Biana's answer was simple.

Forkle cleared his throat. "Actually, the Black Swan gathered all of you is to tell you the truth, as we all know, Mr.Vacker said that Mr. Sencen's death was due to blood loss, and I have no boubt in that. In fact, Let's say had it not been for Mr. Vacker to show up that night, I'm afraid we'll have to create another Sophie. "

Forkle led them into a large room, full of screens on the wall, each screen was labeled with a name.

"You're spying on us?" Marella exclaimed.

"We record everything after you swore fealty to us, to reduce the risk of being mistakened."

"Are you saying that my brother didn't do things like what we think he did?" Biana finally said, hope rising in her voice.

"Exactly." Granite popped out from behind.

He pushed a tiny disk into the machine, and the screens started to play the same image. Sophie saw the white eye on Keefe's arm and gasped, trying hard not to cry out loud. Linh petted her back.

"What are we waiting for?" Biana asked inpatiently.

"In fact, I would like to have a private word with Miss Foster for a second" Granite said, shooing them out of the room.

"He still likes you, Sophie." Tiergan started.

"Can we not talk about that?" Sophie grumbled.

"It's going to be his only weakness."

Granite pulled out another disk from the shelf. He pushed it in and every screen was playing the same thing. "It'll make things easier to persuade him to come back if you know how he feels."

Granite left the room.

Sophie stared at the black and white screen.

She still couldn't believe her eyes, Fitz Vacker was crying for her. The first time Sophie sa him crying is when Alden's mind broke. She turned the screens off.

Fitz still like her, a minimum amount of guilt slid into her mind.

He might not forgive her forever.
