Chapter 2
Fitz took the black cloak he hid in the corner of his closet. He put on the black mask, hiding the daggers inside his pocket, he slid into Candleshade.
He hid in the dark corner as he saw Keefe coming back, kissing Sophie as she handed him his newborn child. Fitz tried hard not to growl. He saw the gleaming dagger hid in Keefe's cape pocket. He picked Sophie up, heading to their room.
Fitz followed closely after them. He saw his best friend push Sophie against a wall, a gleam of silver caught Fitz's eye. He ran betwen them, intercepting the dagger for Sophie, even Keefe looked shocked. He hasn't recognized Fitz yet.
His next reaction made Fitz speechless. He grabbed his hand, forcing him to drag the silver blade over his neck, red spilled on the gray carpet, Sophie screamed. She punched Fitz, hard, they fought for a while, and Fitz eventually let Sophie knock him out.

Fitz woke up in a bright room, there's no doubt that the whole council was in front of him.
"Fitzroy Avery Vacker, accused by the only witness. Crime: Murder...." Councillor Emery went on with his speech.
"It wasn't murder! He died due to blood loss!" Fitz shouted as the goblins pressed him to the ground. He looked around, his family surrounded him, none of them are willing to be on his side. No one was.
He couldn't stand it when he saw his father mouthed the words. ' I have no son.'
He waited Emery to finish his loooong speech about his crimes. "Mr. Vacker, do you have anything to say?'
"His death is due o blood loss, it wasn't me!" Fitz replied.
"Mrs. Sencen saw you slit his throat last night after he came home." Emery argued.
Fitz sighed. He already knew Sophie would've told the council her perspection of the story. "Why don't you sent me to Exile if you think it was me?" Fitz growled.
"We need to know how the accidents happen, Mr. Vacker, would you like to share yours with us?" Alina must have used her ability. Luckily, Fitz already blocked his mind with heavy barriers and made sure her voice can't make him say the truth.
"Send me to Exile. No one here is going to be on my side." Fitz said. Oralie shook her head.
"If you refused to share the accident from your perspective, I'm afraid we will have no choice but to decide your punishment." Councillor Emery told him.
Fitz kept silent, waiting for the council to cart him off to Exile.
They did.
