Fitz simply had a feeling, and you can always trust a Picses's instincts. He had a feeling that his best friend, Keefe, will betray them. Recently, he found that his actions were absolutely weird. He wanted to trust that his friend won't betray Sophie and the others, but he couldn't. He already predicted that things won't be that easy. 

He tried to contact Sophie on his Imparter, but it turns out that Sophie refused to accept any of his calls. Fitz sighed. Sophie won'tbelieve a word he said, ever since their Cognate bond broke because of Sophie's refusal to trust him and stayed close to Keefe all day. 

Fitz really missed the time Sophie used to talk to him, trust him, and listen to his worries. Everything changed after they broke up. Fitz still remember that he locked himself in his room, crying for days, even weeks. He regretted for not controling his temper the night Sophie came back from Eternalia. He regretted everything. Things turned even worse after Sophie started dating Keefe. No one was able to hold his sadness back. He pretended to be happy for them for years, he tried to smile every time his best friend kissed Sophie. Fitz tried to confess his feelings to Sophie, but she shoved him away as if he was some kind of dust on the floor. 

Everything was too late. Sophie is already married and gave birth to Keefe's first child a month ago, while Fitz is still the only one who is not married in the group. Biana tried to persuade him to get a girl quickly, but Fitz ignored his bossy sister.

Fitz cleared his mind, the memories hurt him a lot. He took out his Spyball. "Show me Keefe Sencen." He whispered to the glass globe.

The mist inside cleared, showing Fitz a dark room, the walls were made of gray stone. He could see his best friend's face clearly through the glass.

"Kill her..... " Another figure said as the figure handed Keefe a short, gleaming dagger.

The rest of the conversation was all blurry, but Fitz already knew what to do.
