Danny huffed and rolled his eyes as Wolfie took the speed of the treadmill from 3 kmph to 1.5 kmph. "If you put the speed there, what use is there for me to even use it?!" He exclaimed in irritation. "3 kmph is already slow and now this is a snail's pace, how am I supposed to stay fit?"
Wolfie rolled his eyes and upped the speed of the treadmill he was on to 8 mph with a 5% incline. "You're not supposed to be exercising at all. You're just lucky that I'm even letting you walk."
Within seconds the treadmill's speed increased and he stopped talking to Danny so that he could focus.
Said Omega stuck his tongue out at him and upped the speed to 2 kmph. That wasn't much but it was a step up from what Wolfie had put it on. "Can I at least put it on a 2% incline?"
"No!"
'Oh, fuck you!' he thought in irritation, glaring at the Alpha who stopped paying attention to him.
He really missed working out hard. He used to go to gym morning and night and it was the best feeling in the world to feel the strain in his muscles.
It was different now that his body had changed and even if he worked out for the rest of his life, his proportions wouldn't be the same as when he hadn't presented.
He sighed and averted his gaze to the telly mounted on the wall. "Telly, open Netflix!" Within seconds the screen went dark and Netflix opened up.
He side-eyed Wolfie to see the Alpha releasing low puffs of air, his muscles noticeably flexing as he ran in only his sports shorts.
In all honesty, the Alpha could use some exercise because he wasn't the buffest guy around. Not to mention, Wolfie wasn't the type for exercise and the only reason why he came was because Danny had informed him that he was gonna do at least 30 minutes in their home gym.
It had already been set up by the employees at the Sports store he had purchased them.
Well... That wasn't actually fair since Danny was a sports guy and he would criticise everyone if they weren't muscled. Wolfie was just great as he was but he could be greater.
"Baby, can I put it back at 3 kmph? That's so damn slow." He whined, looking pleadingly at the Alpha who lowered the speed to 6 mph.
Sweat was building at Wolfie's temples and Danny was pretty amazed at the guy. Running in such a high speed while on an incline wasn't exactly easy. If the treadmill was even then that speed would be child's play but since it was incline, it was even more pressure on the muscles.
"Danny, I said no. Continue complaining and I'll either take you off of it completely or lower it from where you have it at 2 to 1."
The Omega huffed and crossed his arms. "This speed is a waste of time, I might as well get off of it."
"Then do just that," he retorted. Moving the incline to 10% incline so that he could run on a steady 6 mph.
"How are you even able to keep up for long?" He intoned, still glaring at the Alpha. "Running on maximum incline is hard."
Wolfie looked at him with a smirk on his face. "I'm not a weakling you know. I used to exercise a lot before my workload got too much. I've already mastered my breathing under these conditions and not to mention, I'm used to running in my Wolf form so this is child's play."
Oh yeah... And speaking of...
"When are we gonna roam? I'm tired of being in this Humanoid form," he complained, rubbing at his skin in irritation. "It's sapping alot of my energy to upkeep because of the pup."
"Well do it next week," he replied. "The backyard may be big enough but it won't suffice since you're pregnant. I have a cabin some hours away. We can stay up there for a week in our forms since I have more time left on my case."
At his words, Danny let out a loud squeal and began clapping his hands. "Oh, thank fuck! This skin is starting to get annoying."
Wolfie snorted and up the speed to 7 mph. "You'll get used to that."
"Hmph. So, what do you think about finding out the baby's gender in our next appointment? I want to start purchasing their clothes and other necessities."
He only grunted and focused on his running and breathing so that he didn't burn out. Danny kept breaking his concentration and it would only be a matter of time before his feet locked together and he was thrown back. "Be quiet."
Danny sucked his teeth and looked back at the telly. "Telly, select Anime, play Seven Deadly Sins!"
The screen immediately switched to the Anime category and pulled up the Seven Deadly Sins with Elizabeth as the cover. In no time it began playing and Danny grinned.
"I've been meaning to get back to this," he muttered lowly.
At his side, Wolfie continued his running while ignoring him and he really wanted to march over and turn the damn machine off.
Why the heck was he even on the treadmill?! Going at this speed wouldn't make much of a difference unless you're a beginner with bad breathing control.
Danny was well versed in running and had excellent control so he didn't understand why Wolfie was being so irritating. It wasn't like anything would happen to the pup. It was Human for fucks sake!
He grumbled under his breath but his attention was diverted to the telly as the introduction ended.
He couldn't wait to give birth so that he could get back in shape without Wolfie breathing down his damn neck.
Danny loved the gym and nothing would ever change that, not even his impending parenthood.
...
A huff of irritation left his lips as Wolfie led him towards the building. "Why are we here? Do I look Human to you?"
Danny looked up at the imposing building with a scowl on his lips, not even bothering to mask his expression as they were met at the entrance by two people, obviously Betas.
One of the strangers were smiling at them, his hand holding a book.
The other one had her eyes closed and was muttering under her breath, fingering a set of beads in her hand with her hood covered head bowed.
"Welcome, brothers," the male called out, a soft expression on his face.
Danny scoffed, not even caring as Wolfie's hand across his back tapped him in reprimand. He didn't even give a damn.
Danny had never stepped foot in a church building and why start now? Their only God was Lord Lycaon because he was their creator.
Why should he praise the invisible God of the humans?
"Danny, have some manners," Wolfie chided as they came to a stop in front of the two figures. "Despite having clashing religious beliefs, one should never mock another because of it. Everyone has a right to praise whatever deity they want, whether it be Lord Lycaon, Buddha, Allah, God, Brahma, Kami, etcetera. So please stop with your attitude and treat these people with respect."
Once he finished speaking, Danny looked a tad bit chastised but the main expression on his face was one of indifference.
What did Wolfie expect? Their world only had one God and he was the still living Lord Lycaon. He was the creator of their species, the one who gave them life.
This Christianity, Hinduism and other Religions were foreign in their world and had only been recently adopted by some of their people after the Humans got it into their heads that no God ever walked among mortals.
Like have they forgotten that they weren't Humans? It was like comparing them to those pesky Vampires living underground.
Different races had their own God so why should be respect these Wolves who chose to abandon their creator in order to serve the Gods of Humans?
And what he didn't understand was why Lord Lycaon allowed them to even build these temples and churches to honour their Human Gods.
How didn't he see it as a slight to his rule?
Believe it or not, Danny's intolerance of Human Religions was commonplace. Their one true God was Lord Lycaon not those of Humans.
This was just a reminder how the Humans have already tainted their race with their useless beliefs and propaganda.
Danny broke himself out of his thoughts as Wolfie began speaking to the man in front of him.
'What the hell were they even wearing?' He thought with hidden disgust.
The female Beta was still massaging some beads in her hand and she was wearing some kind of black and white robe thing which went over her head while the man was wearing the same except his had no hood and he was holding a book in his hand which said... Bi... Ble?
What the heck was a Bible?
"Once again, I apologize for my Wife's behaviour but the reason for my visit as you may already be aware is to deliver this cease and desist letter to you," he explained, taking said letter out of his briefcase to hand to the man. "Members of the community have had problems with your... Church sticking flyers on poles, fences and buildings to broadcast your Religion. Alot of people have felt that you have been harassing them and have filed to put an end to it unless you want to be sued. I also have to mention that you the right to take necessary legal actions against this."
The man's eyes furrowed and Danny looked on in interest.
"I do not understand," he started, his grip tightening on the Bible book he had in his hand.
Again, what was that?
"We have every right to spread the message of the Lord and one true Creator, God and his son Jesus Christ. It is not illegal as far as we are aware so this letter should hold no influence over us."
Wolfie hummed and placed his hand back at his side. "Be that as it may, you have the right to oppose this by hiring a Solicitor. It has already been filed and the best way to proceed is look at your legal options."
Here the man smiled causing both Wolfie and Danny to raise an eyebrow in curiousity. "Thank you, my son. But, I believe that the Lord our God will deliver us from this and have mercy on those who lack faith. And speaking of, it is never to late for you to repent of your transgressions, my son. The path of which you are heading can only lead to damnation so repent. Put all homosexual tendencies behind you and open your heart to accept the Lord's teachings. Mankind shall not lay with mankind and such with womankind."
"Ooh repent or you'll be throw in the pits of Damnation," Danny mocked, wiggling his fingers at the man. "I've heard this drivel before over the telly and believe me when I say it's a load of Baloney. You should repent because you are going against our creator Lord Lycaon whose words are that of acceptance. You have been tainted by the Humans and as such, you should be thrown to them because you are a fucking disgrace!"
The man smiled condescendingly at him and the woman at his side opened her eyes and looked down at him in pity. "Father Thomas, this young man has obviously been blinded from the path of righteousness and now knows nothing more than to sin. He is obviously too far gone to-"
Wolfie cut her off with a raised hand. "I did not come here to have your religion thrusted upon us or for you to insult me and my wife. I came here to deliver a letter which states that your actions are deemed as harassment by the general public and if you do not stop or provide evidence that you are doing nothing illegal, you will immediately be sued and your church will be shut down. That is all and I wish you both a good day. " So with that said, he pulled Danny closer and turned so that they could leave this place.
"It is never to late to accept Jesus Christ in your hearts, brothers! I too have walked the path of sin but I am now a new man!"
Danny rolled his eyes and turned his head, raising his hand to flip them off. "You're mental, old man! Stop pushing your filth on us!"
The man and the woman closed their eyes. "Dear Father who art in Heaven, I ask that you may forgive this young man for his transgressions. I ask that you may forgive him of his ignorance and that you op-" Their voices were drowned out by the sound of Wolfie's doors closing as they entered the jeep.
As Danny buckled himself in, he was fuming loudly. "Who the hell do they think they are?! Talking about sin and crap like that. Their Religion is about intolerance and expect us to be converted to that when they don't accept people for who they are! I swear, if I weren't wearing this coat and they began calling my pup an abomination like those other Humans all those years ago, I would've ripped his head off! Who the heck do they think they are trying to impose their religion on us?!"
As Danny continued ranting, Wolfie buried a hand in his hair began combing through it. "Calm down, baby. Remember, stress isn't good for you or the pup. Don't pay attention to them, they are allowed their ignorance just as we are allowed ours."
The Omega turned steely eyes at him. "How can I ignore their Intolerance?! We are Werewolves, how can the Human Religion even pertain to us?! They're talking about Homosexual, like what the hell is that? Some kind of derogatory term for us being together? I can never respect people like that and I'm honestly growing more angry the longer we stay here so take me to our appointment before I get back out and attack those fools."
Wolfie wisely didn't say anything to that and instead started the ignition. "They are blinded, Danny. They obviously do not accept themselves and are trying to sympathetise with the Humans in all the disaster they caused in the name of Religion. They believe that book is the way of their Lord and nothing could change that. All we can do it ignore them as much as we can because clashing with them is a waste of time. It is quite obvious that they won't listen to any reason and have some type of explanation for everything. We accept who we are and where we came from and it isn't our responsibility to remind them of that. Who knows, maybe their Gods are real."
Here, Danny snorted. "Yeah, and Vampires were originally human. That's a load of Baloney and you know it."
"Well just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there."
...
30 minutes after leaving those two maniacs, Wolfie had driven Danny to the Doctor's for his next appointment.
The detour to the Church was because Jackson had pleaded at him to deliver it for him. Apparently, he didn't get on too well with those Human Religion cults as he called them and had only filed the cease and desist because his cousin was living in the area and would always complain to him.
Wolfie wished that he had left Danny in the jeep because the Omega was still stewing even as they walked up the path to the Doctor's office.
Now, his current state wouldn't harm their pup but Danny's stubbornness would make it harder for him to relax and he didn't want that at all.
"Babe, relax," he soothed, pressing a kiss into the Omega's neck. "It's no use being angry at them. They have obviously been brainwashed and there is nothing we can do about that but avoid them. They would probably have to shut down if they continue broadcasting their religion as people would keep seeking legal action against them. I've seen it all happen before and before you know it, a flat would replace that space."
"How did they even get permission to build that building, anyway?" he muttered, looking up at Wolfie with a frown still on his beautiful face. "And why is Lord Lycaon allowing them to mock him with these Human Gods?"
Wolfie smiled and pulled his closer, allowing the Omega to bury his face in his stomach.
Yeah, Danny was really short.
"Danny, Lord Lycaon is about tolerance. He is about acceptance. Despite these Wolves going against him, he would still accept them because we are all his children and who can bare to hurt their children or ever see them sad or in pain? He allows them because he believes that everyone should be treated equally and accepted for their differences-"
"Unless they're Human," he interjected.
Wolfie snorted in amusement but hummed in agreement. "He didn't create Humans, Danny. They don't mean anything to him, so why should his beliefs have anything to do with them? Humans have already proven that they are ignorant and selfish beings and any Wolf that willingly follows them have crossed the point of no return. If their beliefs prove to be a hazard then Lord Lycaon would immediately put a stop to it. But right now, they are like toddlers lashing out because no one is paying attention to them. They want attention whether it be good or bad."
"They're idiots. You don't see Vlad Dracula's Vampires following these Human traditions."
"Well, Vlad Dracula isn't exactly a being of tolerance is he? He would've most likely murdered them but that's not our business. Lord Lycaon knows what he's doing and if these Wolves even try to revolt, he could easily take them out. No one can hide from their creator." He placed a hand under Danny's chin so that the Omega could look up at him. "Now, stop focusing on those idiots and on the fact that we are about to discover the gender of our pup."
Danny smiled and allowed the Alpha to lean down and kiss him. "Yeah... You're right."
Wolfie gently brushed a hand through his hair. "Now, let's go before we're later than-" Here, he looked down at the watch in his hand. "Three minutes."
"Okay, lead the way," he replied softly.
As annoying as those people were, he still had something amazing to look forward to.
So with a bounce in his step, he followed Wolfie to his Doctor's office.
He couldn't wait to find out what they were having.
