Well hello there! Sorry to interrupt your reading with this silly little contest. This is actually the first contest I've done in this book! It's the third time I've done this kind of contest, but the second time I'm doing it exactly this way. For those of you who have followed me for a long time, this might be a familiar format!

You will all get to pick ONE egg to redesign a character. If the egg is taken before you, then you will need to pick something else. I will then write another chapter down for the characters you lot will be receiving once everyone has chosen their characters! If you do not have a Wattpad account, please DM me on Discord which one you'd like.

I already asked in advance how many people were interested, and only 4 people total said they were interested. If you are interested in doing this contest, then I will consider letting you 'share' an ugly design to redesign. Since only 4 people at the time said they wanted to do this contest, I only made 4 eggs with 4 designs under each egg.

The eggs themselves encompass common 'Mary Sue/Gary Stu' tropes. Not saying that these are always bad tropes, I just thought they'd be easier to make into stereotypical, bad designs. Or well- as bad as I could make them.

This contest is supposed to help you guys show off your design capabilities! This isn't about your art style or any other factors. My main focus with this contest is about how creative you guys can get while keeping the essence of the original design. You are allowed to change anything you'd like about the character, just make sure to keep some part of the original design in the redesign!

With all that being said, let me get onto the rules!

1) Bases are allowed, but you WILL need to provide credit to the original base maker. If you send me the original base, I'll count it, but I would much prefer you getting an actual artist's name and where their account can be found. If you use a base that you have to PAY for, I will disqualify you. References are encouraged. Tracing is highly discouraged.

2) Do not trash someone else' redesign if they post it publicly. Do not take ideas from another person's redesign for your own. I made each of these characters just different enough to keep people's designs from overlapping too much.

3) If you find the original design is too difficult or not what you're comfortable doing, please DM me or one of your fellow contestants. If it's someone you don't know, I will ask the rest of the group myself about a possible design trade. If there isn't anyone willing to do a design trade, I will provide a couple of suggestions on how I would personally redesign the character to help you out. If that doesn't help, then uh- I'll have to make another crappy design.

4) There will be a one week extension on this contest. I will not provide any more extensions past this. If you don't have anything, then I'm afraid I will have to drop you. If you have SOMETHING, I will take it and use it as your entry.

5) Enjoy yourself! This isn't a contest to take seriously! You don't need to shade the designs, make a background, or do anything out of the box. However, I would love to see some kind of bio made of the character! You do not need to do anything super lengthy! Just some stuff about the character is all. If you don't want to do that, then that's also okay!

6) The due date is February 23.

Now! Let's get to the eggs themselves and then then prizes! I will provide a short, simple little note about each egg, that way you can get a better idea what each of them are all about.

1) "I can be ur angle or ur devil"

Simple enough idea! I'm sure many of you are familiar with the half angel/half demon OC concept. This guy is a bit of an edge-lord, with a bit of a soft spot. The clouds reveal their true soft nature. 

2) "Hot Pink Furry"

Based off those very bright animal OCs (not referring to sparkledogs) that I'm sure most everyone knows about. This girl knows how to have a good time! She's a party girl and everyone loves her! Quite a diva. She loves wearing eye-bleeding colors!

3) "Plain Jane Mary Sue"

This isn't one most people think of when they think Mary Sue, but this is a type of character I think we all know of. This girl is very plain and simple, and she's the type to narrate her story. Spout out how she's not like other girls and doing next to nothing while getting the love interest. She's plain to look at, and doesn't have much going for her.

4) "Classic Edgy Villain"

This one is just the simple 'red bad guy demon thing' that we've all seen maybe once or twice. This guy is demonic in every single way. He's a leader type, and is very handsome. Most people want to be with him, and he can get all the ladies. However, his biggest flaw is just how... basic he really looks and how fundamentally stupid his 'villainy' really is.

Well now wasn't that just fun?

Now, onto the prizes!

Since I'm really only expecting 4 people doing this, I'm doing 4 different prizes! That way everyone gets a little something! As for the designs in the end, you guys will have two options:

1: Keep it! Do whatever you want with it! Adopt it out! Use it for yourself! Print it out and burn it! Anything you want to do is yours to do!

2: Give them to me! I'm not sure what I'd do with them, but I'll figure it out! If you happen to want the design back on a later date, do let me know!

1st Place: two redesigns/customs done by me, one full body, and your design drawn by me (if you plan on keeping it).

2nd Place: one redesign/custom done by me, and your design drawn by me (if you plan on keeping it).

3rd Place: one full body, and your design drawn by me (if you plan on keeping it).

4th Place: one full body OR your design drawn by me (if you plan on keeping it).
