{[ Almost Halloween Bois ]}

Yeah, that's right. Almost Halloween time guys! You guys excited? I'm really excited myself!

I'm not gonna do a goretober or anything this year. Maybe I'll do a week long one and post about it in my next chapter. Maybe not. I always end up feeling very disappointed whenever I didn't succeed in my previous years attempting the challenge, so this year, I just won't attempt it.

If this disappoints you then um... I'm sorry? I don't think I owe you my mental health draining at the end of the month because I spent another goretober slacking off. (Not that... anyone reading this chapter actually cares lol-)

Anyways! This chapter mostly contains references I've drawn, but it has some other stuff going on too! Enjoy!

Starfall Beach is located on the border of Winter's Soul and Wildebelle. This 'beach' is actually located inside of a humid cavern which grows a unique species of flower called 'Star Flowerettes'. These flowers glow within range of the deceased, especially those closest to monsters holding them. They're an ingredient in potions in order to temporarily see the dead (or have the opposite effect) and medicines to improve serotonin levels.

These flowers have 10 total petals, with 5 large white petals and 5 smaller yellow petals. They grow on vines in dim, humid spaces. When they bloom, many end up falling to the ground.

Lolli and Bonnie references!

These two have been in dire need to be drawn and redesigned for almost a year, and I finally got around to it! Thanks to Addxiety for their amazing initial redesigns of them, which these two designs are based off of. I know these designs changed greatly from yours, but I did try to keep the important elements of these two.

These two are robotic creations made from two mourning human scientists who decided to use their findings on the Soul to rebuild their children's bodies. While these two robots wouldn't technically be alive, thanks to their parents, they're living!

Yes, one of them is trans. Both were born separate sexes, but Duri's (now Bonnie) Soul wasn't having it, so she was able to transition at a young age. You know, because... Making robot parts for a more feminine body is easier? Anyways, I didn't have many trans characters. I hope you guys love them as much as I do! I don't work a lot with pinks and purples like this, so it was really fun!

Here is our baby boy changeling: Wysh Monroe! His species are the only ones that are considered both demon and angel, and they inhabit pretty much all planes of existence. He's Jake's platonic husband!

Wysh is a self identifying gay male. His species don't actually have genitalia in their real forms so- they just rely on their preferred human forms to determine what their sex is and whatnot. He's also partially blind and a barber! How does this work? Magical eyesight enhancing glasses, duh!

With that being said, he and Jake were long time friends from school. They met in middle school, where Wysh developed a huge crush on Jake. Jake, however, didn't really reciprocate those feelings. For a long time, he didn't really understand why he didn't like anyone in the same way Wysh liked him, but in the end, he decided 'eh, fuck it. I really love Wysh as a best friend, and I love living with him, so why don't we fake marry in front of my mom so she doesn't start quizzing me about marriages.' and so it was. Turns out, Jake is aroace, and Wysh still very much supports and love him.

Despite both not being legally married, they do love each other greatly in their own ways. Wysh is the obvious love bird while Jake is more subtle (and more platonic 95% of the time-). In the future, they totally foster kids and may even have one biological magic child ;))))

This was an art trade piece between me and DastiveArt. I am in absolute love with this woman. She seems like the type of lady who will go out of her way to call every child her baby boy/girl, and I live for that.

She's supposed to be coded for Asian-Hispanic, so I hope that part shines through.

Otherwise um-

Also! This color palette is just so soft???? Super natural and cute!

Vicki and Tart! The girlfriends!

I held a mini poll recently to see which OCs people wanted to see me draw next! Victoria and Tart both won! (Them being a package deal and all-) I love them dearly! I adopted Tart from PumpkingxAngel! I also adopted Victoria (originally) from a user named Abbey. I'm not really gonna tag her in this art book, but I will @ her in my OC book once I get to Victoria's chapter. (Mainly drama reasons, but I also know she slacks up on @ing me and it's disheartened, so I would rather just leave it be since Victoria's design was changed drastically). Thanks to lilspacebirb! This was an amazing redesign!!

They both share a grunge-naturalist approach! Both are still avid sports players, Tart being on track and Vicki being on the softball team. But I also decided to add Victoria being in band!

Hayami Suzuki-Connor! One of Maxwell and Shadow's mothers!

This girl went through TWO different name changes. She was originally named Yuki, but that was a very common name. Then I changed it to Yua. But it just didn't suit her either. So, after much deliberation, I changed it to Hayami. The name means 'rare beauty' in Japanese, and I think that suits her due to the subspecies of monster she is!

She's an Ancient Monster, which are far stronger then the modern day monsters. Of course, with her being a descendant, she's not AS powerful as she could've been, and it doesn't help she was restricted from going to school early on due to her immigrant status. However, her and her family managed, and she did eventually go to school sometime in junior high/middle school.

If you remember her old design, I basically color swapped her with her wife, Betty.

Also yes, Betty absolutely calls Hayami, Yami.

Beatrice Connor. Maxwell and Shadow's other mother!

Here's our sweet lil fox, Betty! She originated from the American South and met her lover after moving to [insert main monster city in the mid-west]. They got married almost instantly after meeting, which might've not been the smartest choice for either of them. They were roughly 19-20 when that happened, but that's what couples do when they're very young. Beatrice eventually fell pregnant with their firstborn magical son before the events of the Dishonest Battle, and her wife was sent off to help fight.

Once the war ended and monsters were forced underground, that's when Beatrice had her second son, Maxwell. Then she lost her oldest and gained a new adopted son named Shadow.

Betty is a very sweet, overprotective monster who just wants her children to be happy.

Warning: next two drawings contain depictions of death. Be careful when scrolling ahead.

Camilla's Death redraw, the first part of one of my next projects. I'll post all of them with the originals in the future, once I'm done!

Some of you may remember from my past art book(s) that I did a series of drawings relating to the cannon deaths of my main ocs.

Well that's what I'm doing here, basically! Many of their deaths hadn't changed from what they were originally, and I wasn't exactly planning on sharing this project so early, but I know it's gonna take me ages to finish each and every single drawing.

Camilla was originally the hardest one to draw, since like- how the fuck do you draw someone dying in childbirth?

Then again, Camilla has never actually truly meant to die by JUST childbirth, but it is on her legal death certificate so... anyways. (If you're wondering, this is her first cannon death. Camilla dies later on from natural causes, but that's kinda boring lol)

In this drawing though, I decided to reveal her true cause of death, something called Magical Overdosing! Basically, a monster can accidentally use too much magic, especially on themselves, and die from it. It's usually a response to heavy mental pain and/or physical pain. Of course, giving birth to Mavis was a factor, but so was some of the other shit that happened to her in the months leading up to her death.

That is all.

Felix' Death redraw.

This one is kind of the only one depicting someone dying of old age. For good reason too! Felix isn't one of my most well known characters, so I don't mind it if you don't really understand the meaning here.

Felix has always been terrified about the concept of growing old and/or dying. It's been a massive fear for him basically all his life. Since his mid to late 30s, he's worked on inventions to either reverse his age or allow him the ability to come back to life (and maybe even bring back his ex-wife, who he still loved but couldn't express it well when she was alive). He wrote all of this down in a journal, which he tossed away after figuring out a way to reverse his aging process and as he took care of his grandchildren.

After many, many decades, he eventually came to terms with his upcoming 100th year of life. He was growing sick and frail, and the machine he made couldn't keep up anymore. So he made the decision to hide the invention away and allow himself to finally let go. This would be around the time he finally started to make a better connection with his daughter, Camilla. He passes on after giving her his apologies for being such a crappy parent, and hopes she can live the rest of her life without feelings of regret or longing, like he had.

I didn't want to spend a lot of time trying to line art this piece or even clean it up. I really wanted it to feel more loose and sad.

Eclipse and Cloud - Ambassador Elders (Eclipse was redesigned by Lex).

These two are in love and work together to bring peace among both Lumine and Shadow Elders. They both have on cute little coats and are pretty much mirror images of each other.

Cloud is the subdued out of the two of them, while Eclipse is an excitable, easy to entertain kind of person.

Cloud's hoodie is a raccoon and Eclipse is a red panda!

Shade and Xear - The Enforcers. (Shade was redesigned by Lex).

I know just how much a certain someone has been DYING to see Shade get a proper drawing done, so I'm proud to present him and his counterpart, Xear.

Both of them are complete opposites, and I tried to do a Mad Hatter v. Alice in Wonderland kind of feel? I'm... honestly not toooooo fond of Xear's design, but for what it's worth, it's fine enough. I think these two came out pretty well, and I adore the idea of Shade keeping his Past Life's cat tail out and about. He would probably also have cat like ears, but he prefers the sillombre elf-like eats instead. Let's not forget his face markings, which represent cat whiskers! And the dot on his forehead?

He was killed by a very sharp skull to his forehead in his Past Life.

The other two Elders will be worked on soon and will be posted! I'll, of course, go into detail about all four in my future Enchanted Reality Book, so be on the look out for that!

Angelica and Daniel Reference perhaps? For the webcomic?

I'm not 100% sure how I feel about these references. I like how they look, but something feels missing still? Oh well, I hope you guys enjoy!

Daniel and Angelica are both sorta kind siblings (hard to explain).

Here's a drawing of baby Camilla! She was a toddler during the Monster v Human war (basically, the Dishonest Battle). Before the war broke out, she basically hung out with her entire family and received lots of love!

Felix was definitely a very doting father for his young kit, with his own father not too far behind on spoiling the absolute fuck out of her. His father is kind of the stereotype of 'older man was shit to his kids but spoil tf out of his grandkids because they are the kids they always wanted,' which is kind of depressing given that Felix did basically everything up to the age of 19 to gain his father's approval.

But that's neither here nor there.

Skylar and Faux were both just very motherly to Camilla. I didn't portray Skylar's parents (mainly because I have no fucking ideas for them), but I imagine they were just as loving to Camilla as well, even though they were mildly worried and concerned if Camilla inherited any of their bad genes (being mute, blind, deaf, etc.) She didn't, if you were wondering. Although her own children...

Anyways.

Also, yes. Felix' mom is, in fact, named Faux King. Yes. It's meant to be a joke.

Kind of a wholesome drawing to kind of end off this chapter. I've done several drawings for Moonflower AU that all kind of depicted the relationship as more or less toxic. Which yeah, it's really not a good pairing.

I've always contemplated on how I would let the pairing work. Either I'd have Mavis get rescued in the end by the other gods, who compensate her for her shitty time with the ex-moon god, or if I'd have Mun'ee end up separating from Fla'awe because he fell in love with his mortal-turned-goddess girlfriend.

In the end, I'm doing both. More or less.

Mavis does get corrupted, genuinely on accident, by Mu'nne. Beforehand, he was just manipulative to the highest degree- because he's a fucking god. They do that. When that happened, Mun'ee had to find a way to contact his fellow gods, who had already been on the search for a mortal soul that went missing on Earth with no death music or anything. Eventually, Mun'ee was able to get into contact with them by basically tearing himself and Fla'awe in two which woke Idyllic up. The two were trapped within her dreams in order to keep everyone else safe, and now that they had separated, she was able to wake up and pull all three dumbasses from the void.

Mun'ee gained many physical differences from his pre-fusion/corruption, while Fla'awe looked largely the same. Mun'ee was definitely still in worlds amount of trouble, but with him no longer having the main corrupting factor in his body, the gods were all able to punish him in a better and more productive way. While Mun'ee lost his place as the moon god, he did gain the job of taking care of the stars and other celestial bodies, while his replacement god, Cosmick, worked on bringing the moon up at night and carried on her dream duties. He was definitely heavily monitored during this time too. Fla'awe was re-contained, but this time, her soul had been converted into a mere mortal's soul, forced to walk the Earth for another several centuries until the gods felt she was more stable to deal with.

With all that being said, Mavis really couldn't return to life as a mortal. Mun'ee pretty much granted her god-hood once he pulled her into Idyllic's mind, and she was doubly screwed when he accidentally corrupted her. Mavis' hair grew bigger and floofier, and her dark splotches became more prominent- to the point her body looked like a cloudy night sky. The other gods didn't really know what to do with her at first, since even in this corrupted form, she still carried many of her mortal weaknesses (IHS mostly). It wasn't until Sillo suggested making her a helper goddess of the night gods, but her role would be contained towards ensuring the two gods wouldn't try to overpower one another in their roles and to help Mun'ee with clearing up the night sky. The gods gifted her better abilities to do her job, and basically rebirthed her.

(Edit: changing her role to be a Death unique to nighttime cases involving victims of circumstances since she is was basically that during her time as a mortal LMAO)

Her name may have ended up changing since she no longer felt connected to her life as a mortal. If you have suggestions, do let me know below!

They both end up marrying (as gods do, I guess). I'm not sure if they'll have kids yet. Currently, none of the other gods have children (plans will be made once I smooth over the mythology better), so potential kids will be left out of the question.

This AU isn't cannon, like- at all. Mun'ee will probably always be in exile forever and ever. Or maybe he'll end up getting freed by a descendant of Mavis and Todd. For now though, no plans are gonna be made for that. This AU really is just for fun and isn't to be taken super seriously (if anything, it's just an excuse to work on mythology).
