Well hello there. It feels like it's been way too long since I last updated this book, even though it's been just over a month- This year went by both way too fast and way too slow. Shit was weird man.

A lot has happened, and I've got a couple of pretty exciting goals that I'm hopeful to achieve! And I hope many of you will still be around to see that growth?

Start work on a webcomic.
Its no longer a surprise that I've wanted to do a webcomic. I've held off on starting for a number of reasons, mainly fear and anxiety, but also just- it's a huge undertaking. It's a lot of work, and I am one person. However, I am determined to get started in 2023. 

Post much more frequently on social media.
I started getting much better at this towards the end of the year, but it's not perfect by any means. I do want to post much more often on Instagram, and even start posting more often on DeviantArt and Wattpad. I'm also decently determined to start doing something on Tumblr, as that's kind of the platform I'm thinking about posting my webcomic! We'll see when we get there.

My 2022 Art Summary! Man, my art went through quite a lot this year! I'm really pleased with the progress I've made, and I'm super happy with how these pieces all look together. It makes me very happy to see all these pieces together like this!

Meet The Artist - 2023 Edition

I've done this pretty much every year since 2020, so it was really bound to happen again. I'm very pleased by this, even though I look like a fucking BOX. I am still pretty happy with how this came out, and I really like how I drew all my favorite items. I'm hyped for my 2024 Meet the Artist sheet next though! 

This is a comic I spent around 2-3 days on, and the end result isn't perfect- but it's definitely an improvement on the original two. For one, this ACTUALLY has a background. I also spent a lot of time on the design of Summer's friend, Melody (who I adopted from PumpkingxAngel), and I am quite pleased with her design. It's been no secret of mine that Summer had curlier hair as a kid, since she didn't care to straighten it or any of that nonsense. She's adorable.

Baby Jake though? I know a certain birb boi is gonna be quite happy seeing him. Since I had changed how sillombre biology works a little bit, his eyes no longer really turn 'orange' when stressed out, instead- more of his Soul color (which is blue) causes his eye to turn into a shade of blue-green. I thought it was a neat changed to make.

Even Older Comic from 2017(?). Just- yeah- concept isn't very great!!

Scott Family Tree, unedited. I quite like this funky little family! All of the siblings are assholes in their own way, which makes sense given that the Scotts are just- assholes. Still, the offspring aren't all so bad, and I quite like the design of Stanley's first ever affair and their kid. Amelia looks like a fun older sister type for Todd and Cream, even though none of them grew up together-

Edited Scott family tree. Just kinda going into a bit more detail on how Stanley and Addie are related, and why Storm is connected to Jared. 

Milky Way drawing for a Secret Santa we had in lilspacebirb's server! This was a gift for Lils in particular. This is quite a cute drawing, and I'm really happy with it! 

I also didn't get to draw anyone else any gifts, which fucking sucked-

Floating Redraw! I used a reference initially, and kinda ended up doing my own thing. I wanted to draw some Comfort x Rationality shipart for some reason, so this was actually quite a fun little thing to do. I definitely feel like Pastel would be nicest to Polaris, since Polaris is generally not super annoying to her (and she does tend to have the best interests at heart for Pastel, given her role in the witch's life-). In short, I am in love with gay babies.

This is an edited drawing of a redraw I did of my 'Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil' drawing I did last year. Simple concept, yet this is by far one of my most favorite drawings of 2022. Just- yeah man. I don't normally DO line art, but this was actually a ton of fun to do, and I definitely can't say that I did a poor job, because I didn't.

Not Edited version so you can have a better look at the bottom expressions. Just... yeah, I'm pretty happy with this!

Each of the siblings have their own bag of trauma which resulted in different responses and ways of handling said trauma. Summer choses to not 'see' any of the bad in the world around her (especially since she witnessed her own father's death-), Jake choses to not 'hear' any of the bad in the world (especially as he heard of the death of his father and got to listen to his mother and the rest of his family spiral into chaos afterwards-), and Mavis choses to not 'speak' of the bad in the world (especially well... given her childhood and teenagehood, who'd wanna talk about anything...)

Also yes, the bottom versions of them are supposed to be their 'adult' selves, mainly to show that this trauma was never really dealt with.

Old version. It's... well it's messy. The shading isn't very good and the linework is messy, not to mention that there are too many sparkles, so I'm actually having a hard time figuring out what's going on. 

Although this is definitely an improvement over the original, which I can't really find for some reason, so I hope you lot are just okay with just this.
