college isn't a hassle, truth being told. marking this the 4th year being educated in the study of law, no pressure has been inflicted upon me. drinking on coffee isn't frequent, at least before this insomnia of mine began and it being the least of my consumption.
sleepless nights advance gradually, and as well as the fact that my studying time increased. tonight, of all nights, that feeling of needing a breather and to give up studying for just a small while, right after i tried my first (thousand) attempt of sleeping..
arising from the pre-occupant desk and entering into the cool breezy air outside can calm a person from frying their brains from studying. sauntering along the campus, i thought of the most suitable place to go to...
the university cafeteria.
such an absurd idea, out of all the places, but my stomach isn't yearning for anything to chow on nor the fact that food itself can cause me to be lethargic. the cafeteria is tranquil since it's vacant and clean. the cafeteria is a separate building, which makes it even more silent.
walking in, quickly waltzing my way to the rear side of cafeteria which were next to the huge open windows to catch a glimpse of the view of the night sky. its gleaming stars paint the dark foundation of the dark blue yonder. almost as if it can hypnotize anyone.
proceeding from the view, my eyes wandered about the room and spotting the most unusual figure not far from me. from what i'm aware of, it couldn't be some animal nor the paranormal.
it was a human, rather... a he. i assume it's a he, considering his features are that of a male.
my only fellow companion was humbly sitting, eating from his instant ramen cup that was recently bought from the other cafeteria open for purchasing food and all the snacks.
as the room being dark and ambiguous of one's surroundings, i couldn't pick up his features. and staring at him for maybe seemed like a while, he stopped and looked at me. surprised, i looked away and stared back at the view outside. i gazed as the night sky slowly transforming a warmer color than the night. the sky appearing dawn. i took a quick glimpse at my watch.
4:35
my straying eyes looked around the room, which no longer contained that mysterious individual who was eating ramen. and being an honest person, his name was something that I desired to know. sighing, my foot led me back to my dorm room and hoping to finish that essay that was intended to be finished tomorrow.
