Ever Disappointing

When he was 5:

He wanted to make a paper plane
But ended up folding the paper into a mere triangle
He had only heard of origami, not of any cutting angle

His abilities were disappointing.

When he was 10:

He wanted to win the school quiz competition
But ended up answering only two questions
He didn't know what they'd ask

His knowledge was disappointing.

When he was 15:

He wanted to enjoy the night with all his friends
But ended up stealing the money from his father's
He didn't know they'd have allowed him to go with the others

His conduct was disappointing.

When he'd be 20:

He'd want to stay back in the car
He'd think about them, "Please keep having fun, smile, laugh.
The night is young, enjoy around
I'm out here so I can't bring you down
I might as well cry, but try to not make a sound."

He'll never stop being disappointing.
