Sincere Succorer

I try doing good
And end up doing bad;
I try mending things
And end up worsening them;
I try pleasing someone
And end up disappointing everyone;
But I'm not disappointed with me,
I don't get disappointed anymore
Coz disappointment itself
Is disappointed with me now,
Because I've learnt
That I am never meant to be able
To do something virtuous.
So I gave up thinking I could still win,
Failing is the only thing meant for me,
Failure doesn't do much,
It can't make me worse off
Than what I am right now.
And when I find something that
Looks like I need to do it some good
I back off, hoping someone else
Would do it instead.
What I mean is, my friends and people,
If I ever backed off from helping you
It's because I want to help you
And that's the best thing I could do
To make way for help to reach you,
The sincere succorer that I am.
