Hello, dear readers. Thank you so much for following IW up until this point. In fact, I didn't realize that slowly but surely more readers find their ways here. It is for you readers that I type this.

Though it has been sad in other places, this version of Insomnia Wake is discontinued, and will be officially marked as "Complete" to not lead more readers astray. It will remain posted on Wattpad as sort of a legacy record, but it will no longer be considered canon. However, that doesn't mean it's the end for this story. Quite the opposite in fact.

It is because I love writing this story so much that I must cut it short. This story was a whole lot of fun, but let's be honest, it's a mess. There are almost twice as many named characters are there are chapters, endless plots that aren't tied up, and ineffective worldbuilding. It is because of this that I want a do-over.

So here's the plan:

Insomnia Wake will be a multi-book and multi-author franchise. The team writing this franchise will be me, LogicalCabbage, and Doppelgengar, who are my closest friends here on the site and are also this story's biggest fans. We have formed somewhat of a council if you will, and are in pursuit of adventure, action, depth, and of course, shenanigans.

In fact, they have already started their stories: Midnight Reverie and Prelapsarian Vim. They each have their own artistic visions and writing styles, and have a lot of creative freedom on their projects, which is what I think makes this new sort of collaboration so special. Go check them out, I'm sure they will entertain you just as this story did (also their starts are looking better than mine... oops).

As for my own contributions to the franchise, they will ironically be coming later at an undetermined time. My plan is to break the story into manageable 10-20 chapter book "parts", each with their own characters and plots, but have them all be connected. I hope this way I can actually finish what I started and have a higher level of quality too. Rest assured, despite the fact that I'm destroying the plot, many of the characters in this story will make a reappearance in the new ones, along with many plotlines, though most will not be seen together. Unfortunately, I have already wrapped myself up in a different story, Heart of Ghost (Pokemon Fanfiction), and have resolved to finish it before posting any Insomnia Wake stuff, once again, so that I finish what I start. However, with so much time to think about the story and to worldbuild with the other two writers, I'm sure the next time will be great.

I'm sorry that I did not finish what I set out to do, but I hope it was still an enjoyable read anyways.
