☼ day five ☼
Castiel
i opened the door to our dorm, regret filling the air as i saw what i had caused. It was 4 in the afternoon and i knew i was to late.
There he was, on the bed with a phone in his hand, droll slipping from his mouth. A clutter of objects surrounded the room, some shattered, others disoriented.
Did he do this? I thought leaning over to pick up the broken clock, trying to re-assemble it; it was no use. I sighed heavily before tossing it into the trash can, along with everything else that was shattered.
As i was cleaning, i heard rustling and creaking from what i assumed was dean. I slightly turned my head and saw him propped up, rubbing his eyes slightly. I smiled slightly before continuing to place the binders where they belonged.
"C-cas?" I heard the crack in his voice, making me flood with regret and sadness. "Yeah.. Im here." I practically whispered so i wouldn't break down right there as i prepared myself for his yelling to come.
I flinched when i heard him approach me, the floorboards creaking slightly. "Cas where the hell have you been!" He yelled, causing me to completely pull myself into a ball of shame. "I-I'm sorry i di-" i was cut off by a warm feeling behind me.
No.. I thought hearing him muffle a sniffle into the back of my shirt. No he cant be crying! He should be yelling at me, i left him scared!.. I turned my body around, my hands holding onto dean as he shook slightly. "I was so worried Castiel.." He choked bringing his hands from my waist to my face, cupping it slightly.
I felt my throat hitch as he brought his face to mine, small tears welding his green eyes as he closed him. He pulled me closer and kissed my forehead before the top if my lip a little to quickly. "So so worried." He whispered hugging me again, his arms falling around my neck.
I sighed pushing his arms off me, he narrowed his eyes. "What happened cas?" He asked darting his eyes to my hands pushing him away. "What are we dean?" I asked as calm as I could. "What do you mean?" His voice became soft as he dropped his arms to his legs "What are we?" I asked again.
Dean looked down and muttered an 'oh', almost like he didn't know himself. "Cas.. Your my Best Friend and-" "Okay." I stood up, already knowing that would be his answer. "No, Cas-" dean stood up to follow me but i held up my hand. "No i get it, where best friends, nothing more." I gave a the fakest smile possible to reassure him i was okay.
Dean frowned slightly before nodding slightly. He leaned in for what i assumed was a kiss, causing me to lean back. "Best Friends." I reminded him, making his eyebrows knit together in confusion. "Cas-" "No dean-"
Suddenly he snapped.
"GODDAMMIT CASTIEL LET ME TALK!" He raised his arms, fists clenched, causing me to flinch slightly. "Cas listen.." He lowered his volume along with his arms, making me relax slightly.
"I don't want to be your Best Friend anymore."
