The Return of the Challenger
I have officially returned to the apologetics game. My activity feed is busier than Walmart on Black Friday since I've been posing questions about morality, science, and other similar topics.
It's actually nice to discuss again. I truly enjoy academic discussions and often end up learning a lot. I sometimes hear new arguments and therefore understand more of the opposing side's claims and viewpoints. I get to practice my same arguments if my opponents use the same arguments. In essence, the discussions are an academic gold mine, since the people are actually quite respectable and professional.
So why did I return to apologetics? Mostly, I wanted to refresh myself, to practice my argumentative skills and to remind myself of the methods and claims I utilize to challenge bad ideas. I also wanted to meet any intelligent and reasonable users on Wattpad, and so far I've been impressed.
I didn't come back to convert people or to convince them I'm right. No one with steadfast oppositional viewpoints will abandon them and agree with me, a random internet challenger, no matter how decent my arguments are. People tend to cling to whatever they believe in, myself included, and refuse to accept another's evidence.
Now that I'm back, I'd like if you suggested some new books on here for me to analyze and new authors to discuss with. For now, I'll keep doing what I do best, annoying strangers on the internet with my lengthy paragraph-long counterarguments.
Love and Peace,
Arkada
