Recent Wynncraft Guild History
Honestly, you can probably skip this chapter. I'm mostly writing this history down so that I don't forget it in the future.
THE FAILED RAID
The Valkyrie alliance, consisting of Kingdom Foxes, Imperial, Paladins United, and Emorians, have existed for longer than I've played Wynncraft. Many other guilds, including my own, grew tired of their conduct and wanted to challenge their power. Near the end of summer, we organized a raid against Kingdom Foxes in order to demonstrate our frustrations with the Valkyrie alliance. The raid, lasting only two days, ended in utter failure due to the Valkyrie alliance's controversial use of sub guilds. Main guild members could defend land more quickly by branching into sub guilds. Due to our raid's failure, two significant allies, Blacklisted and BuildCraftia, defected to Valkyrie's side.
THE FORMATION OF LUNA
The Valkyrie alliance perceived our raid as pathetic and realized that they could control the entire world map. We would not be able to defend ourselves against their combined strength. In less than two days, the four main guilds, with the help of Blacklisted and BuildCraftia, invaded the land all opposing alliances. Several more guilds, such as Avicia and The Simple Ones, defected to the Valkyrie alliance. They wanted to protect their lands and respected Valkyrie's organization and influence. My guild, Titans Valor, was the last to fall because Valkyrie wanted us to join. We refused and admitted defeat.
ASSAULTS ON BCR
For over a month, the Valkyrie alliance, now calling themselves the Luna alliance, retained map dominance. Disheartened, many guilds disbanded and many players quit the game. Titans Valor joined The Ascendancy, a small and weak band of guilds that resisted Luna through unsuccessful attacks. Titans Valor specifically directed its assaults towards BuildCraftia, a toxic guild secretly led by a banned player, while an inactive figurehead posed as the leader. To drain BCr's bank, preventing them from placing stronger defenses, we adapted a peculiar yet effective strategy. Whenever we captured a piece of their land, we places no defenses. BCr would waste money replacing its defenses after our swift attacks, while we would save money. Our constant attacks against BCr drained its bank and drove the toxic leader into a panic.
A RAY OF HOPE
During this month, I didn't think we'd make much progress against Luna. However, I was greatly mistaken. All of a sudden, the Emorians, supposedly frustrated with the actions of other prominent guilds, left the Luna alliance. In response. Luna seized all of its lands. They made a large mistake, and the Emorians became more sympathetic to our efforts against Luna. More and more guilds became tired of Luna's reign over the map and banded together. Small alliances similar to The Ascendancy merged together, forming a larger and more organized counter-alliance called Terra. For days, we gathered as many guilds as possible and organized small raids against Luna. In most of our plans, we focused on toppling one guild in particular, Imperial. Imperial is led by arguably one of the most manipulative players in the game, and most players wanted to see her and her guild fall. Although we performed some raids, we simply distracted Luna until we enacted our first great raid over the upcoming weekend.
THE WEEKEND RAID
The leaders of the Terra guilds decided to engage in a two-day long raid over the weekend, meant as a simple test of our organization and war power. We only intended to capture all of Imperial's territories, not believing we would maintain control due to the ferocity of Imperial's allies. No one expected the overwhelming success of our raid. In just the first two hours, our raid of nearly 15 guilds conquered all of Imperial's land despite its allies' constant support. Realizing how easily we swept through Imperial, we decided to turn our attention towards other Luna guilds. Titans Valor and another guild specifically targeted Paladins United and swept through its territory without much resistance. Other guilds launched an assault on the territories of Blacklisted and BuildCraftia. The raid, which we expected to perform over the entire weekend, ended in nearly six hours and resulted in the complete wipe of all Luna guilds except Kingdom Foxes.
THE AFTERMATH
Our sudden wipe of most Luna territories dramatically increased morale within the Terra alliance and sent extreme panic into most of the Luna guilds. Terra's little raid escalated into an all-out war. Kingdom Foxes requested neutrality in the war in order to protect its territory. Paladins United at first requested neutrality, yet broke its truce after reclaiming its land. Terra hastily reprimanded to their dishonestly with another wipe, this time preventing Paladins United from reclaiming. Blacklisted and BuildCraftia became utterly useless, unable to make progress against our combined defenses. Avicia quickly left Luna, while The Simple Ones left Luna after receiving promises of land. This guild served Terra well by spying on Luna while acting as a neutral force. Additionally
Luna's various sub guilds could not match our combined forces at all. Luna would soon become strained and desperate.
LUNA'S RETALIATION
For nearly a week following our raid, Luna attempted to regain its territories through several unsuccessful raids. These raids hardly inconvenienced Terra and failed to restore Luna's power. All the Terra guilds, envisioning Luna's ultimate defeat, began discussing territory distribution. But before we could continue, we received news from a spy about an organized raid that would occur over the weekend. An organized raid similar to ours. This raid would supposedly occur on the 14th of September, which is today's date as I write this. The Terra alliance prepared for Luna's invasion until it arrived. In the morning, Luna struck, but we struck harder. In the late afternoon, Luna struck again, but we struck even harder. Luna could not progress, and we considered their raid a failure.
What will happen now? I cannot predict the future. Will infighting occur in Luna? Will Luna mend the visible tears in its alliance? For now, all Terra guilds have claimed their land and lie waiting for Luna to return.
I hope you enjoyed reading 1,000 words about Minecraft guild politics. I bet you didn't know that you needed such a thing in your life.
