Last night I arrived in Florida to visit my cousins. I'll be here until Saturday.

I'm an apprentice in the art of plane sleeping. It's hard to be comfortable when confined to a tiny plane chair, but I managed to sleep four hours while dreaming about Neil Gaiman.... I swear I'm not obsessed.

Already, I'm having a blast. I've played football, ran around the neighborhood, watched movies, and ate special tacos that my aunt made. My cousins, younger than I am, have so much energy. They always want to play, while I interject: "I'm getting too old for this!"

My aunt and uncle are very religious and own bookshelves full of Christian books. I intend to read several of these books during this week. Additionally, I hope to finish Neil Gaiman's Stardust or Gaiman's Smoke and Mirrors.

I swear I'm not obsessed.

This Florida vacation is a much-needed break from the sweltering firehole that is California. The air quality is great, the liberals are less noticeable, and the weather is moderate. Perhaps this vacation will rekindle my passion for writing. I'll keep updating throughout the week.
