Mission log: Splash Mountain
Y/N and Black Ops agent Jeff the Killer sat in the back of a nondescript black SUV, making their way through the bustling streets towards Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Their mission: to deal with a mysterious monster that had been wreaking havoc inside the Splash Mountain Ride.
As they navigated the traffic, Y/N and Jeff exchanged information about the creature they were about to face. The reports indicated that it possessed the ability to shift reality, making it a formidable adversary. Its imposing height of eight feet and the fact that it called Splash Mountain its home made it all the more dangerous.
"I've heard rumors about this thing," Jeff said, his voice low and serious. "People claim it can alter their surroundings, make them see things that aren't really there."
Y/N nodded, their gaze fixed on the road ahead. "Yeah, it's definitely a reality bender. We'll need to stay focused and rely on our training to keep ourselves grounded."
Y/N put on red gauntlets and Jeff got his butcher knife, a hunting knife, and a pistol.
The vehicle eventually pulled up to the front entrance of Splash Mountain, surrounded by the cheerful ambiance of the park.
Y/N's attention momentarily shifted from the mission at hand to the familiar faces of his loved ones and friends gathered in the van. His wife, Regan, looked at him with concern etched on her face. The presence of Brett, Magic Myc, Glenn Dolphman, Gigi, and Andre was a reminder of the strong bond they all shared.
Regan's voice broke the silence, filled with worry. "Please be careful, Y/N. We need you back safe."
Y/N reached over, taking Regan's hand in his own, offering a reassuring squeeze. "I'll do everything I can to make it back to you, I promise."
Brett, always ready to lend a helping hand, chimed in, "Do you guys need backup? We can come in with you."
Glenn nodded, his determination evident. "Yeah, we're in this together. We can provide support if needed."
Y/N paused for a moment, his gaze shifting between his friends. "Thank you all for your willingness to help, but Jeff and I are trained for situations like these. We have the skills and expertise required to handle this threat. It's our duty to protect everyone, including all of you."
Gigi chimed in, her voice filled with concern. "Just be safe out there, Y/N. We'll be waiting for your return."
Andre, his usual stoic self, nodded silently, offering his support through his presence.
With a grateful smile, Y/N reassured them, "We'll be back before you know it. Keep an eye on things from here. We'll handle it."
Y/N and Jeff exchanged one last glance, their determination unwavering. They knew the risks, but their training and bond gave them the confidence to face the unknown.
Leaving their loved ones and friends behind in the van, Y/N and Jeff stepped out, ready to confront the reality-shifting monster lurking within Splash Mountain.
Y/N and Jeff stepped out, blending into the crowds of excited visitors with ease. As they made their way towards the ride, Y/N couldn't help but feel a mix of anticipation and apprehension.
The familiar sight of Splash Mountain came into view, its vibrant colors contrasting with the dark mission that lay ahead. The duo approached the entrance, where a security guard stood by, oblivious to the danger lurking within.
"Excuse me," Y/N said, flashing their identification badge. "We're here to investigate a potential threat inside the ride."
The security guard glanced at the badge, then back at Y/N and Jeff. "Go right ahead. Good luck, agents."
Y/N and Jeff nodded their thanks and stepped through the entrance, the sound of cheerful music growing faint as they descended into the cool darkness of the ride's interior. The air was thick with tension, their senses on high alert.
As they ventured further, the reality-shifting monster awaited them, lurking in the shadows. Y/N and Jeff steeled themselves, ready to confront whatever awaited them within the depths of Splash Mountain.
As Y/N and Jeff walked through the park, the chatter about Splash Mountain being re-themed to The Princess and the Frog reached their ears. They exchanged a glance, both sharing a similar disapproval and distaste for the idea.
"I can't believe they're actually going through with it," Y/N muttered, shaking their head. "Changing such a classic ride to fit some recent film. It feels like a slap in the face to the original concept."
Jeff crossed his arms, his expression grim. "I agree. Splash Mountain has been a staple of this park for years. It's part of its history and charm. I don't understand why they feel the need to change it."
They continued walking, the lively atmosphere of the park providing a stark contrast to their conversation. As they approached Splash Mountain, Y/N couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia and sadness. The impending re-theme meant the loss of something familiar and cherished.
"It's not just about the ride itself," Y/N said, their voice tinged with disappointment. "It's the story, the characters, and the memories it holds for so many people. I feel like they're erasing a part of Disney's heritage."
Jeff nodded, a somber expression on his face. "Exactly. It's a shame to see corporate decisions overshadow the sentimental value of these attractions. It's as if they're prioritizing profits over the genuine connection that visitors have with these rides."
As Y/N and Jeff continued their walk towards Splash Mountain, Jeff hesitated for a moment before sharing a personal revelation. He looked at Y/N with a mix of frustration and sadness in his eyes.
"You know, my girlfriend, her father, his dad, wife, and brother, were all imagineers at Disney," Jeff confessed, his voice tinged with bitterness. "They fought tooth and nail to prevent the closure and re-theme of Splash Mountain. They even threatened to quit if Disney went through with it."
Y/N's eyebrows raised in surprise. "Wow, they must really care about the ride. It takes a lot of courage to stand up against a company like Disney."
Jeff nodded, his jaw clenched. "Yeah, her family put their hearts and souls into that ride. But in the end, Disney called their bluff and accepted their resignation. They didn't think twice about it."
A sense of indignation washed over Y/N. "That's just...wrong. It's disheartening to see the dedication of passionate individuals being dismissed like that. It's a loss for Disney and for the fans who appreciate the original concept."
Jeff's gaze hardened, his voice filled with determination. "That's why we're here. We need to make sure this monster doesn't cause any more harm. We owe it to the legacy of Splash Mountain and to all the people who have cherished it."
Y/N nodded, a newfound resolve shining in their eyes. "Absolutely. Let's focus on the task at hand. We can't let this situation escalate any further."
"By the way...you never told me you had a girlfriend." Y/N said.
"What? So suddenly I'm not allowed to have a life outside of work?" Jeff asked with a smug grin on his smile carved face.
With renewed determination, Y/N and Jeff quickened their pace, their footsteps echoing through the park as they approached the looming entrance of Splash Mountain. The weight of their mission and the knowledge of the personal sacrifices made by Jeff's loved ones fueled their determination to confront the reality-shifting monster that awaited them within.
Y/N and Jeff arrived at the entrance of Splash Mountain, the iconic ride standing before them like a gateway to both adventure and uncertainty. They were soon approached by a group of Disney executives, looking visibly concerned.
One of the executives stepped forward, a worried expression etched on their face. "Agents, we're relieved you're here. The situation with the monster inside the ride has been escalating, and we need your help to contain it."
Jeff crossed his arms, his tone firm. "We're willing to assist, but we have some conditions."
The executives exchanged glances, their curiosity piqued. "What are your conditions?" one of them asked cautiously.
Y/N stepped forward, their gaze locked with the executives. "Firstly, we want your assurance that you won't go through with the re-theme of Splash Mountain. We believe in preserving the ride's legacy."
The executives seemed taken aback, but after a brief moment of consideration, one of them nodded. "Understood. We can postpone any changes until the situation is resolved."
Jeff added, "Secondly, we expect to be compensated for our services. We're professionals, and we have our own lives and expenses to take care of."
The executives exchanged glances once again, the weight of the situation apparent on their faces. After a brief discussion amongst themselves, one of them spoke up. "Agreed. We'll provide you with fair compensation for your assistance in handling the monster and ensuring the safety of our guests."
Y/N and Jeff exchanged satisfied glances, appreciating that their conditions were accepted. They understood the importance of their task, but they also recognized the value of their own time and expertise.
"Alright," Y/N said, extending a hand towards the executives. "We have a deal."
The executives shook Y/N's hand, their expressions grateful. "Thank you for your understanding. We truly appreciate your help in resolving this matter."
With the agreement settled, Y/N and Jeff prepared themselves mentally for the challenge that lay ahead. They were ready to face the reality-shifting monster and protect the integrity of Splash Mountain, all while ensuring their own well-being.
Together, they entered the ride, their determination unwavering as they ventured into the unknown. The fate of Splash Mountain and the resolution of the monster's threat now rested in their capable hands.
They got onto a log boat and headed off. They were then greeted by the usual singing birds. As they sang their song, their heads slowly turned to constantly face the boat, and their eyes...all their eyes seemed to lock onto Y/N and Jeff.
Y/N gulped nervously but Jeff didn't seem to care about the birds.
As Y/N and Jeff ventured further into the darkness of Splash Mountain, the ride's iconic music and sound effects enveloped them. Jeff, ever prepared, reached into his tactical gear and pulled out a small, sophisticated device designed to detect anomalies.
The device emitted a faint hum as Jeff activated it, its screen displaying a pulsating energy signature. He studied the readings, his brow furrowed with concentration. "No monster yet, but it seems to be picking up traces of its energy," Jeff murmured.
Y/N's senses heightened as they continued deeper into the ride. The air grew colder, and the familiar scenes of animatronic characters seemed to take on an eerie quality. It was clear that the reality-bending monster was lurking nearby, waiting for its moment to strike.
As they approached a particularly dark section of the ride, the energy readings on Jeff's device intensified. The device emitted a soft beep, indicating a stronger presence of the monster's energy nearby.
Jeff's eyes narrowed, his grip tightening on the device. "We're getting closer. Stay on guard, Y/N."
Y/N nodded, their heart pounding with a mix of excitement and trepidation. They could feel the weight of the mission pressing upon them, aware that innocent lives were at stake.
Suddenly, a faint distortion rippled through the air, accompanied by a chilling giggle echoing through the ride's corridors.
"We're close," Y/N whispered, their voice barely audible over the sounds of the ride. "Keep your focus, Jeff."
Jeff's jaw clenched, his eyes scanning the surroundings. The device in his hand continued to pick up the fluctuating energy, guiding their path deeper into the heart of the monster's lair.
As Y/N and Jeff continued their journey through the eerie depths of Splash Mountain, they approached the scene where Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear were usually seen plotting to capture Br'er Rabbit. However, something was clearly amiss.
Y/N's eyes widened as they took in the altered appearance of the animatronics. Br'er Bear, instead of his usual friendly and goofy demeanor, had transformed into a menacing figure, holding an ax that seemed far more threatening than it should be. On top of Br'er Bear's shoulders, Br'er Fox had morphed into a much more sinister and disturbing version, with sharp teeth and an unsettling expression of unhappiness and resentment.
The audio within the ride provided the sounds of their characters speaking, but the voices were distorted, adding to the unsettling atmosphere. Br'er Bear's voice was muffled and incomprehensible, as if submerged beneath layers of distortion. Br'er Fox's voice, on the other hand, took on an almost demonic quality, sending chills down Y/N's spine.
Despite the loud background music, Jeff's keen senses allowed him to decipher snippets of what the animatronics were saying. He leaned closer to Y/N and whispered, "They're... they're talking about trapping Br'er Rabbit. They seem... angry and vengeful."
Y/N strained to make out the words over the cacophony of sounds, but the meaning eluded them. The distorted voices and the disconcerting appearance of the animatronics added an unsettling layer of mystery to the situation.
Realizing the significance of the altered scene, Y/N and Jeff exchanged determined glances. It was clear that the reality-shifting monster had twisted the ride's elements, turning something innocent and child-friendly into a dark and foreboding tableau.
They continued to travel around on the ride. Seeing a depressed Br'er Rabbit, angry animatronics, and a warped Laughing Place.
They arrived on the next part. Br'er Fox was waving his arm in anger and yelling something incomprehensible at Br'er Bear, whose ax was now covered in blood. Y/N gulped nervously and Jeff's device began beeping repeatedly. The energy was stronger.
Then Y/N saw that Br'er Fox was actually waving something in his hand. It was a dismembered arm. The arm of Br'er Rabbit. In front of the two robots was a blood trail.
His thoughts were interrupted by Jeff's device. "It's stronger. We must be close to the nest." Jeff said.
Y/N closed his eyes as he didn't wanna see anymore.
Soon came the most anticipated part of the ride which was the big drop. The boat climbed up to an angle and began to climb up the hill.
"Y/N. Relax. What we're seeing isn't real. This creature is just messing with us. Trying to show us who's boss." Jeff said to Y/N to calm him down. Y/N kept his eyes closed as the next scene played. He didn't know what happened, but it was enough to make Jeff gag and almost throw up. The device started beeping faster, till it overheated and burst.
"Oh shit. That can't be good." Jeff said. Suddenly all the lights in the ride went out and all the background noises stopped and it was pitch dark inside. Y/N opened his eyes. Only light in the tunnel was the moonlight, and the small flame from Jeff's device. Jeff looked at Y/N and put a finger to his lips. That's when they heard the sound of heavy splashing coming from the bottom, the kind of splashing you would hear from somebody running thought water. Then the splashing started climbing the hill. Jeff reached for his knife.
But then they dropped down to the bottom of the hill outside. Water splashed on them. Jeff looked at Y/N. "I think we're close to the nest." Jeff said.
Then they were greeted by the "Zip-A-Dee-Do-Da" song, only it was a much slower and depressing version. Suddenly, the boat came to a sudden stop and all the background music stopped along with the motors and the water flow, leaving nothing but utter silence. "Shit. Now we really are in the nest." Jeff said. Then the lights went out inside the cave once again leaving the two in complete darkness and silence. Y/N gulped nervously and got his gauntlets ready, and Jeff pulled out both his knives.
They waited in darkness and silence for about two minutes. Suddenly, without warning, the creature struck. Jeff let out a startled cry as it pounced on him, overpowering him with its sheer strength. Y/N's heart pounded in their chest as they watched in horror as Jeff was dragged beneath the murky waters of the ride.
"Jeff!" Y/N shouted, their voice echoing through the darkened tunnels. Fear and determination intermingled within them as they sprinted forward, desperate to save their comrade from the clutches of the monster.
Y/N's training kicked in as they reached the water's edge. They scanned the area, trying to catch a glimpse of Jeff or any sign of the creature's presence. The silence was deafening, broken only by the faint ripples on the water's surface.
Without a moment's hesitation, Y/N dove into the water, their body slicing through the darkness. They held their breath, their senses on high alert, searching for any sign of Jeff. The seconds stretched into an eternity as they swam deeper, determination fueling their every stroke.
Finally, Y/N caught sight of a shadowy figure lurking beneath the water.
The creature's grip tightened around Jeff, its strength seemingly unyielding. Y/N summoned every ounce of strength within them, propelling themselves towards the struggling duo.
With a burst of adrenaline, Y/N reached the creature and unleashed a flurry of calculated strikes, aiming to free Jeff from its clutches. The creature fought back fiercely, its otherworldly powers surging through the water, distorting reality itself. The crew landed several solid punches on Y/N.
The battle raged beneath the surface, a chaotic dance of strength and survival. Y/N's determination and training clashed against the relentless power of the reality-shifting monster. Each blow and maneuver carried the weight of their mission, the safety of innocent lives hanging in the balance.
Y/N fought the reality-shifting creature with every ounce of strength and skill they possessed. Each strike, each evasion, was executed with precision and determination. Their training and experience as a Black Ops agent came into play as they maneuvered through the murky water, engaged in a desperate battle.
The creature thrashed and twisted, its supernatural abilities testing Y/N's resolve. Reality itself seemed to bend and warp around them, making the fight even more challenging. But Y/N remained steadfast, fueled by the knowledge that innocent lives were at stake.
Blows were exchanged, the clash of Y/N's fists against the creature's form reverberating through the water. Y/N's senses heightened, allowing them to anticipate the monster's movements, dodging its attacks with split-second timing.
The creature grabbed the log boat and struck Y/N like a baseball and sent him flying across the room.
With a surge of strength and resilience, Jeff managed to break free from the creature's grip, gasping for air as he resurfaced. He instinctively reached for his weapons, a hunting knife and a kitchen knife, ready to defend himself and his partner.
The battle raged on, the confined space adding to the intensity of the fight. Jeff unleashed a flurry of swift and precise strikes, his training and expertise shining through. The creature thrashed and retaliated, its reality-shifting abilities making it a formidable adversary.
Amidst the chaos, a momentary misstep caused Jeff to lose one of his knives. It slipped from his grasp, sinking into the murky waters of the ride. Undeterred, Jeff adjusted his strategy, focusing on his remaining weapon.
The fight continued, the clash of blades reverberating through the dark tunnels. Jeff's determination burned brightly as he pressed on, his movements fueled by the need to protect himself and Y/N, as well as to neutralize the reality-shifting menace that threatened innocent lives.
As Y/N fought the reality-shifting creature with unwavering determination, the battle took a turn for the worse. Despite their valiant efforts, the creature's strength and abilities proved overwhelming. Y/N was battered and relentlessly attacked, each blow taking a toll on their body.
With a vicious surge of power, the creature gained the upper hand. It swiftly pinned Y/N against a wall, its monstrous form looming over them. Y/N gritted their teeth, refusing to yield even in the face of immense pain.
In a final act of brutality, the creature sank its teeth into Y/N's shoulder, eliciting a cry of agony. The searing pain coursed through their body.
Just as it seemed that all hope was lost, Jeff, battered but not defeated, launched a desperate attack. He lunged at the creature, driving a knife. The creature let out an unearthly screech, momentarily distracted by the unexpected assault.
However, the respite was short-lived. The creature retaliated with a vengeance, flinging Jeff away with a powerful blow. Jeff crashed into the darkness, his body battered and bruised. The creature slammed Jeff, head first onto the ground.
Y/N, fueled by both their own resilience and the sight of their comrade in danger, summoned their remaining strength. They fought back, striking the creature with every ounce of power they could muster. Blow after blow landed, each strike a testament to their unyielding will.
But the creature, undeterred, fought back ferociously. The battle raged on, the air thick with tension and the sounds of struggle echoing through the water-filled tunnels.
The creature's attacks grew more desperate, its attempts to disorient and confuse Jeff intensifying. Yet Jeff, driven by a combination of skill and sheer willpower, remained resolute. He maneuvered with agility, seeking any advantage he could find.
Jeff landed a well-timed strike, driving his knife deep into the creature's side. It let out a guttural howl of pain and fury, its hold over reality wavering momentarily. The creature grabbed Jeff by his leg and threw him to several animatronics. Jeff grunted and coughed up a little blood. He grabbed his pistol and aimed it into the darkness.
"Dance, bitch!" Jeff said as he fired several rounds into the darkness. The creature lunged at Jeff and landed another hit on him, grabbed him, and body slammed him. Then smashed his body against a large, wooden boat. Then threw him to a wall.
Sensing an opportunity, Y/N moved in swiftly, lending their strength to Jeff's efforts. The clash between Jeff and the reality-shifting monster intensified. The blades sliced through the water with swift precision, their gleaming edges reflecting the dim emergency lights. However, amidst the chaos, Jeff lost one of his knives, leaving him at a disadvantage.
The creature seized the opportunity, its strength and otherworldly abilities giving it the upper hand. It lunged at Jeff, overpowering him once again. Y/N's heart raced, their mind racing for a solution to turn the tide of the battle.
In a moment of quick thinking, Y/N spotted something nearby—an electrical panel. Without hesitation, they reached for a wire and yanked it free, exposing the live current. With a surge of adrenaline, Y/N plunged the electric wire into the water.
Electricity crackled and surged through the water, illuminating the darkness and delivering a powerful shock to the creature. It convulsed, its grip loosening as it succumbed to the electric currents coursing through its body.
The reality-shifting monster writhed in pain, ultimately losing consciousness. Y/N and Jeff emerged from the water, gasping for breath, but relieved to have overcome the formidable adversary. They had found a way to neutralize the creature's powers and subdue it.
Taking a moment to steady themselves, Y/N and Jeff exchanged a glance of silent understanding. They knew that the battle wasn't over yet, but this victory gave them a crucial advantage.
As the creature floated unconscious in the water, Y/N and Jeff prepared to face the final confrontation, their determination unyielding. They would ensure the safety of innocent lives and put an end to the reality-shifting threat that had gripped Splash Mountain.
Y/N and Jeff managed to secure the unconscious creature in a net, dragging it with them as they made their way out of the ride. The weight of their success mingled with a lingering sense of unease, knowing that their mission wasn't quite over yet.
As they approached the exit, their attention turned to the matter of payment. However, their hopes for fair compensation were dashed when they were handed gift cards with such minimal value that it barely covered the cost of a simple hot dog, let alone any merchandise.
Y/N's frustration was evident as they glanced at the inadequate gift cards. "This isn't enough for a hot dog, let alone the merchandise we were promised," they muttered, a tinge of disappointment coloring their voice.
Curiosity burning within them, Y/N sought answers from a nearby Disney representative about the fate of Splash Mountain. They inquired about the planned changes to transform it into a Princess and the Frog ride, hoping for some insight.
To their dismay, the Disney representative calmly stated, "Yes, we still plan to proceed with the transformation. We believe it will bring a fresh and inclusive experience for our guests."
Y/N's frustration grew as they confronted the Disney representative, their disappointment and anger evident. They firmly believed that they had fulfilled their part of the bargain by dealing with the reality-shifting creature that had threatened the safety of the park's visitors.
Y/N squared their shoulders and met the representative's gaze, their voice firm and resolute. "We risked our lives to handle this dangerous creature inside your park. We upheld our end of the bargain, ensuring the safety of the guests. It's only fair that Disney upholds its end by providing us with the promised compensation."
The representative maintained a composed demeanor, but Y/N could detect a hint of indifference in their eyes. "We appreciate your efforts, but our stance remains unchanged. The changes to Splash Mountain and the compensation provided are in line with our vision for the park's future."
Y/N's frustration began to simmer into a boiling anger. They felt betrayed, sensing that their sacrifices and the risks they had taken were being dismissed. "We put ourselves on the line to protect your guests. We deserve more than these measly five dollar gift cards. We our deal upheld for what we've done."
The representative's voice remained polite, yet unyielding. "We value your service, but our decisions are based on the long-term interests of the park and its guests. The transformation of Splash Mountain aligns with our commitment to inclusivity and evolving storytelling."
Y/N's voice grew louder, their words laced with determination. "Inclusivity is important, but so is honoring commitments and recognizing the efforts of those who ensure the safety of your guests. We didn't do this for gift cards; we did it because it was the right thing to do. Don't let that be forgotten."
Jeff, his anger and sense of being cheated boiling over, let out a bitter laugh. "Oh, one more thing," he sneered, his voice laced with sarcasm. "This freak of reality that we just risked our lives to handle? Yeah, it's your problem!"
With a flick of his wrist, Jeff released the net, allowing the creature to escape back into the wilds of Disney World. It was a defiant act, born out of frustration and a desire to highlight the injustice they felt.
Y/N and Jeff exchanged a brief, determined look, their message clear: They had done what they came to do, protecting innocent lives and exposing the reality-shifting creature. Their focus now shifted to the knowledge that some battles couldn't be won within the confines of the mission alone.
As they walked away, leaving behind the chaos they had encountered, Y/N and Jeff carried with them a sense of accomplishment and a resolve to fight for what they believed was right, even beyond the confines of their black ops mission.
