Error has an accident exiting an AU he'd sent into a spiral of destruction, and it is all thanks to the resident Sans' final attack.

Due to the attack slowing him down, he gets caught between the Void and the remains of the AU before he can safely teleport away. Thus, leaving him with a tiny problem.

The problem being that his code is compacted to the point he is no bigger or more powerful than a bitty.

To his ire and discomfort, Ink finds him before anyone preferable (like Nightmare or any of his miscreants) and mistakes him for that coveted Error bitty he's been searching for. And, so, the dark-boned skeleton finds himself in a place he never thought he'd be: the deranged soulless creature's basement. An expansive room filled with large, flawlessly decorated enclosures and what had to be a bitty for almost every type of AU.

Ink puts Error in his very own "cozy new home" - a vast empty white box with blue yarn strung along the ceiling - after trying and failing to introduce him to a Dancetale Sans bitty.

The destroyer's new home leaves much to be desired. The other bitties are loud, annoying, and always fighting each other because of how unhappy they are. But the most annoying one of them all is the Reaper bitty that continuously breaks into his enclosure and attempts to court him.

As impressed as Error is by the other's flattery and determination, he wishes the Reaper bitty would quit bothering him and go back to that Geno bitty Ink is insistent the mini death god get along with. Despite the fact the pair blatantly hate each other.

Though, that would be the least of his issues.

Much to Dream's dismay, Ink has taken to collecting bitties and creating tiny "AUs" (I.e., enclosures) for them in his basement. The artist has everything from Classic bitties to (uncomfortably) Dreamtale bitties, and shows no signs of halting his attempts to collect them all; Even going as far as to pair certain Sans bitties he is fond of together.

(Dream will never understand what made him think his Lust and Killer bitties would be a happy couple, especially when they spend their time trying to tear each other apart. Or "aggressively cuddle," as Ink likes to say.)

So when Ink asks him to take care of his bitties while he's out on a long mission, Dream makes it his mission to make all the miserable tiny souls the artist has collected happy. Including the fussy Error bitty that seems to want to be anywhere else.
