We both stood on the ice and stared each other down intimidatingly. His eyebrows furrowed over his brown eyes as he smirked and tapped the ice with the handle of his hockey stick. His dirty blonde hair were hidden in a red cloth beanie, he stood over my small frame as I looked up at him.

"You sure about this sunshine?" he asked.

I nodded my head. They way he spoke and they way he called me sunshine sent chills down my spine. His voice can be so soft and comforting but then be so hot and scary. He watches as I set the puck down in the center circle. I nod letting him know that we'll start on three.

"One...two...three!"

Immediately, the puck flashes before my eyes and slides over the ice. I look over to see Justin skating towards my goal. I watched as he swung his stick and hit the puck. The black disk flew through the air and hit the white netting. He dropped his stick once he stopped in front of me and started twerking in celebration of his first point.

"I assume that you've played hockey a lot?"

"I've been playing hockey since I was seven."

I nod and shrug my shoulders. Thinking about it now, I honestly don't have a chance playing against him. I can't even set my stick down that fast. He raises his eyebrows at me for me to continue speaking.

"It's obvious that you're better than I am..."

"One more thing to know, I like challenges." he says as he opens the rink door and sets down on the bench to take his skates off. I decided to take my skates off as well and get ready to leave.

We walked out of Gainesville Ice and got into my car. I asked him to drive because I drove here. He agreed and is now sitting in the driver's seat. The car purred as he turned it on and pulled out of the parking lot. I could feel the wind slash at my face from the open window while we drove down the busy road. We came to a slow stop due to a red light. Here's where the questions started once more...

"Wait wait wait! So your sister is dating your ex? Annnndddd she poured a smoothie over your head?"

I nodded as he shook his head and chuckled.

"I don't blame you for feeling this way."

I smiled now that I knew someone other than Victoria that agreed with me. The parking lot wasn't as full now that everyone had gone off to dinner and whatever else they may desire to do.
"So what are we going to do now, ba-Cat." He rushed out.

"Watch a movie I guess." I replied curiously as he parked. I'm still surprised on where he remembered it was without looking at the paper I gave him...
