Is a moment of brief sunshine worth it when you have to face a thousand years worth of storms? The gutwrneching cries of a starving child, dressed in poorly sown together clothes that are muddled with dirt, fill the air. The child walks in the streets of New York city beside her mother begging for others to take them in. If they don't find shelter before the crickets chirp, in the soot filled starless sky, they might not make it into the morning. No one rescues them. In the night the monsters claw what's left of their bodies. They used to be happy, they used to have a family, they used to laugh; but that brief moment in the sun is gone forever.
