A/N: Hey everyone!! I knooow this is ridiuclously short and I should be ashamed and yada yada yada but I'm flipping tired and I have to get up at some ridiculous hour to go to netball! So, here it is! I hope you enjoy!!!

"No, don't wake her!! She needs her sleep," I heard a deep voice whisper loudly beside me.

Oh yeah, I had fallen asleep on the grass.

But in reality I actually got a decent sleep, the sun was streaming onto my legs that were still covered in pyjama shorts, and I was nice and cosy in Jay's jumper.

"She's been sleeping for over an hour and we are already late! And she needs to have a shower and pack a bag and then we actually need to get there!!" I heard Caleb say from beside me, making no effort to keep his voice down.

"Oh come on Caleb!! Just let her sleep," Jay, I now realized, was arguing.

I knew this was a habit of his. A few years ago I started reading late and not going to bed until about four o clock in the morning. That then developed into sleep deprivation and for a while after that everyone was hesistant to wake me up, because I always needed the sleep that they would be taking from me.

"Guys, shhh. Need sleep," I told them, not moving from my position. I was way too comfortable to move.

Both the boys started laughing and I knew that if one of them didn't make me get up, I would fall back asleep within minutes.

"Come on Katia. Get up. We're already late," Caleb instructed me, pushing my arm to fully wake me up.

I groaned then opened my eyes.

Caleb was sitting in the same spot, with his back against the tree and his legs outstretched in front of him, book in hand.

Jay was sitting on the other side of me and had turned to look at Caleb.

I looked back to Caleb and he gave me a warning look.

I poked my tongue out at him but got up none the less.

"Can you hurry up? It's quarter past five and we're lateeee," Caleb pestered from behind me, as he and Jayden were following me into the house.

"Well I still need to have a shower and get changed and stuff, so if one of you guys wanna throw stuff in a bag for me then we will be out of here quicker," I smiled at them, the smile that I used to get my own way. Kind of like a puppy dog face but a smiling one.

Jayden laughed but I could see him nodding as we all ascended the stairs.

Without any further words I closed the door that led to my closet, and further more my bathroom.

I grabbed a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a loose white singlet.

It wasn't quite warm enough to wear shorts, but it was too warm to wear jeans and a jumper.

I put my iPod on the speaker so that I could listen to music while I had a shower. And yes, I sang in the shower, but in reality the only people who would be able to hear me was Jayden and Caleb and they were use to it by now.

Luckily for me, Millionaires by The Script came on, and I started singing that while I hopped in the shower.

My plan was to be as quick as possible, but I had to wash my hair so that took a few minutes.

When I got out, I tried to get dressed fast and I started off great! I had got my singlet and socks on in only a matter of seconds, but when it came to hopping on my jeans I kind of fell on my ass.

Oww!! I think I have a bruised coccyx!

I decided to let my hair dry curly as it usually did, so I quickly got out of the bathroom and into my room, where Caleb was looking at my drawings again and Jayden was sitting on the bed with one of my shoulder bags beside him, obviously full.

"What was all that banging in there?" Jayden asked as I slid into my black converse.

"Nothing," I dismissed a little to quickly, which only caused him to laugh.

I scowled at him while Caleb was rushing us out of my room.

"Hold up! I need to tell my parents," I explained, while Caleb rolled his eyes impatiently as I dropped my bag at the top of the stairs while running to Mum and Dad's room.

I opened the door to find them both asleep, so I decided not to wake them. They'd had a big night.

So I ran back across the landing to Tyler's room and flung open the door.

"Ty! I'm going to Lachie's tonight, tell Mum and Dad," I told him, then closed the door and ran to the top of the stairs, where at the bottom the boys were waiting.

I got to about halfway down the stairs when Jayden started laughing and pointed behind me, informing me so kindly that I had left my bag.

I turned on my heel, pulled the bag by the strap and ran back down the stairs.

When I got to the last step my foot slipped off, and just as I was about to fall on my ass for the second time in the day, Jay caught me around the waist.

"Slow down, you're going to hurt yourself," he laughed then let go.

"Thanks," I smiled and we all ran out of the house and to Jay's car.

As usual I was too slow to call shotgun so I was stuck in the backseat with the piles of CD's on the floor.

As we drove to Lachie's a U2 CD was playing, which I now recognized as How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb.

"I love this album!!" I exclaimed loudly from the backseat which made Caleb curse.

Jayden just laughed, looking at me through the review mirror.

Vertigo was on, and I was doing air drums!!!

I was always on the drums, and Jay was usually on air guitar but considering he was kind of driving and all, Caleb took over. Jayden was singing.

"Uno, dos, tres... catorce!!!" Jay shouted, then Caleb took it away on the guitar, he had his serious guitar face on after all.

I was keeping up the consistent drum beat with my serious drum face while Jayden was screaming out the lyrics.

"Hello hello! I'm at... I'm at a place called Vertigo!!"

"It's everything I wish I didn't know except you give me something I can feel!!" Caleb joined in, shouting the words too.

"FEEEEEL!!!" We all screamed, then burst into laughter as we pulled into Lachie's driveway.

"So, what's the excuse for being late?" Jayden asked and Caleb shrugged.

"Guys, I think your forgetting that you have me with you. You don't need an excuse for being late, it's inevitable with me around," I smiled, but then realised the truth in my own words and frowned.

Surely I wasn't that bad....

Okay, maybe I was.

I should really work on that.

Jayden pulled up behind the two other cars that were here and we all got out and walked around the backyard.

"About time!" Immy exclaimed from on the grass where everyone was sitting in a cirlce, probably just talking as usual.

"Well we have Katia, what do you expect?" Jayden teased while smiling, so I pushed him a bit.

We all chucked our bags inside quickly and came back to lie on the grass with everyone else.

"So, what's been happening?" Caleb asked everyone after he sat down next to Suvi.

"We've just been chatting away while waiting for you to get here," she smiled at him and for a moment my brain went:

wait, is something going on here?

But then I remembered that everyone knew Suvi and Cody were going to get together at one point.

"Why were you guys late anyway?" Lachie smirked and I shook my head in fake dissaproval at him.

"Well the reason technically was Katy," Jay smirked, looking down at me from my right.

"Yeah, she fell asleep and was out like a light," Caleb added from across the cirlce.

"Hey! That was only because I didn't get much sleep last night cos everyone was moving and Jay took the blanket off me!" I defended myself, but then realized that I wasn't only talking to Caleb and that could sound really wrong.

And by the surprised/amused look on everyones faces, they thought the same.

"No! I didn't.. No..." I tried to choke out but I couldn't, so I just burried my face in my hands.

"Oh come on Katia, we all know you and Jay have something going on," Jesse teased and I just shook my head.

"No! Look.... Okay there's no good way to explain this... Ugh.. You know what? Just shut up," I groaned, running my hands through my now dry hair.

When I looked over to Jayden his cheeks had gone a bit red, but that was probably just from the sun and he was chuckling lightly to himself.

I think Caleb was going to say something else but Lachie cut him off.

"Well, as fun as teasing Katia is, I think it's time for the annual water fight!!!!"
