"Wow, not even awkward," Suvi smirked sarcastically, pulling the spoon out of the nutella and eating it.
Yes, we were sitting on Immy's bed at 10:30pm waiting for her to get home from her date while eating nutella straight out of the jar.
We were still talkng about mine and Jay's conversaiton the other night, clearly not to my approval.
"I know, but it wasn't at the same time. I don't know, I guess..." I didn't know how to explain it fully. The conversation wasn't actually awkward, it just seemed awkward.
Wow congratualations me, no sense is being made!!!
"Well I have no idea what you mean, but I don't think you do either," Suvi said, leaning against Immy's headboard.
I just nodded, getting some more nutella and pulled my sleeves down over hands.
"I think something is going to happen at the river though..." Suvi trailed, nearly as though it was a thought that accidentally slipped out of her mouth.
"Nah, not going to happen. I mean, we're going with our siblings, it's going to be kind of hard to considering all that." I rolled my eyes, flipping onto my back.
I stared at the plain white roof mulling things over in my head.
Nothing could happen in Wye river. Well, nothing could happen ever actually.
It was Jayden.
No, nothing will happen.
Then we heard the front door open so I sat up.
Immy opened the door to her room where Suvi and I were sitting with the biggest smile on her face.
"Too many suggestive comments..." Suvi smirked. "I just... I can't...."
"Shut up I'm happy," Immy smiled, getting her pyjamas out of the cupboard then walking into her bathroom to change.
"Is it just me," Suvi leaned in and whispered, looking over her shoulder to check that Immy wasn't there. "Or was her hair kinda messed up?"
"Yeah, and her lipstick was a bit smudged," I smirked, then we both burst laughing just as Immy came back into her room in shorts and a singlet.
Immy sat down between Suvi and I and it was silent for a moment. Immy was waiting for one of us to start talking.
"So was it in the backseat or the bathroom in the restaurant?" Suvi asked and I burst laughing, not being able to catch my breath.
Immy simply glared at Suvi, but she couldn't keep the smile from her face.
"Well are you going to explain to us what happened or are you just going to wait for us to run out of suggestive comments?" I asked, running a hand through my hair.
"No no no!!! No more suggestive comments, please!" Immy nearly yelled.
Suvi rolled her eyes. "Okay, well shoot."
Immy proceeded to tell us all about the amazing night she spent with Jesse, starting with the fancy restaurant then walking along the beach then making out under the pier, hence the messy hair. Then when he dropped her off he asked her to be his girlfriend.
It sounded just like the dream date she had described months ago when we were having a super girly night, which I hated, by the way.
"Awh that's adorable! See! We told you he likes you," Suvi commented, an ever present smirk lighting up her face.
"Yeah yeah whatever," Immy poked her tongue out at Suvi then her face returned to the smile she had been wearing for the past twenty minutes.
It was half past eleven by then so we decided to go to sleep. The spare matresses were under Immy's bed so we pulled those out and set them up, all lying down and getting ready for bed.
Usually we talked ll night, but I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
.
.
"SUVI MALAKEISHA!!!" I jumped when I heard this. I was walking in between Suvi and Immy but stopped when I heard Caleb's voice behind us.
"Hey Caleb, what's up?" Suvi greeted him, a smile spreading across her face.
"Just chilling and killing like a villain," Caleb laughed back and I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, hi Caleb," I greeted him sarcastically.
"Yeah, nice to see you too!" Immy smirked and we both earned glares from Suvi.
That was something you did not want to see. Suvi's death glares were scary. And not just scary as in a kid's 'scary' story, but scary as in 'holy shit I need to run away and never see her again'.
Caleb just smiled and his eyes lit up in amusement. "Sorry! I just thought i'd better say hi to my other friends before greeting my girlfriend!"
