WARNING!!!

This rant covers topics that are not suitable for children. Normally I wouldn't post a warning since the start of the book is already a warning, but I've never ranted about anything based in a sexual context and I know there are some innocent/young people out there... so, this is your warning.

Okay, I'm pretty sure we all know the vine...

I think that's a pretty funny take on this subject, so I thought it'd be worth mentioning. I'm also using that vine to explain that that's not the kind of kink shaming I'm talking about. I'm talking about the people who are like, "If my child was a furry I'd disown them!!"

Like... what?? First of all, the only reason I can think of a parent ever knowing their child's kinks is because they accidentally stumbled upon something inappropriate. If you're purposefully digging around though trying to find out their kinks for some reason, you're fucking creepy. There is no reason a parent should know what turns their kid on unless it was an honest accident. Otherwise, that's private. You wouldn't want your kids knowing what turns you on, so why should you know what turns them on?

Second of all, why the hostility? I understand the idea of not liking certain kinks or thinking certain things are absolutely disgusting {for example, I think scat is fucking gross}, but you shouldn't attack people who are into it. Yes, you can say you think it's gross, but you shouldn't attack any person or persons who disagree and like it. If someone told me they were into scat, I'd be honest and tell them I think it's gross {and I'd probably be weirded out at first}, but after a few seconds I'm gonna move past it. So what if they like it? Unless they try to do something with me that involves their kinks, it doesn't impact me.

I get that there's kinks/fetishes that are literally illegal such as necrophilia and pedophilia, and although I don't think anyone should be into that or agree with it, I still don't think the individuals should be attacked. Yes, they should go to jail for their actions if they do something illegal like fucking a child, but they shouldn't be attacked for their fetish. I firmly believe that we have no control over our kinks and fetishes {because I know for a fact I don't}, so as long as they're able to contain themselves and not do anything illegal I see nothing wrong with it.

Cuz you know what? If it takes some person masturbating to totally SFW, legal pictures of kids to stop themselves from fucking a child, I don't care. I definitely think it's fucking creepy and I don't want to witness that or even know it took place, but if it prevents them from doing something illegal then I'd rather that happens. It's the same story for other fetishes like beastiality or necrophilia where acting upon them is illegal.

There's some people who take their kinks way too far and try to impose them on others, which is definitely inappropriate for them to do. For example, if you have a piss kink, don't purposefully piss yourself in public just so people have to see it. They're not turned on by it and they're probably just gonna leave the area. If you're into BDSM and start shouting about it in a public place, that's also inappropriate. Nobody wants to know about it!

If you wanna get kinky behind closed doors, I don't care. That's your space, and as long as anyone else involved is consenting and into it as well, then it's fine. You wanna dress up in fursuits? Great, have fun, not my cup of tea but go for it. You wanna vomit on each other? Have fun. You wanna tie someone up? Have fun. Again, just make sure everyone involved is consenting.

I would like to touch again on the topic that you can't control what you're into. Guess what? You can't control it. Not everyone is proud of what their kinks or fetishes are, but they can't change that they like it. They can choose not to include it in their sexual activities, but they'll still like it. No matter how ashamed they may be of it or try to hide it, you can't change your kinks. You also can't force yourself to have a kink. You can tolerate something you're not into, but you're not gonna enjoy it yourself. You're just tolerating it.

This doesn't excuse people into illegal things because you can always control your ACTIONS. You could be really into animals and want to fuck them, but you can refrain from doing it and you can choose to do something else instead. If you choose to actually fuck the animal, that's illegal and you should go to jail. You can't stop being attracted to animals, but you can stop yourself from doing something bad to them.

I've used this analogy before, but imagine you're so mad at somebody that you want to attack or possibly even murder them. You can always stop yourself from becoming violent, and if you choose to become violent anyways without a need to defend yourself then you should get in trouble for it. You can't control the fact you're extremely angry, but you can choose whether or not to attack them. It may be more difficult because you want to hurt them in that moment, but you still have control in the end.

However, due to the fact that people can't control what their kinks and fetishes are, I firmly believe that people shouldn't be attacked just for being into something. If their actions because of their kinks become inappropriate, they should definitely get in trouble for it, but they still shouldn't be attacked just for having a kink.

It's okay for you to think something is gross and to disagree with it, but you should never attack individuals who like it. They cannot change who they are, and if you attack them you're just making them feel bad. I can't even count the amount of times I've feared my own SAFETY just because I had a kink someone didn't know I had and they were talking about how they wished people with that kink would die or something. I'm already ashamed of many of my kinks because of society, you don't need to make it worse.
