lyta never thought that she would actually get put into an arranged marriage. it had always seemed like a faraway dream, like it would never happen. but it's finally come along. lyta's father, chief arnook, and her stepmother had found a "suitable man" for lyta to marry. his name was aola and he was the exact opposite of an ideal husband. lyta immediately hated him.

"yue! iyola!" nobody answered. lyta sighed in exhaustion. "open the door! code black!" the code name was only to be used in emergencies, in which case this was.

as soon as the code name was called, the 2/3 of the royal descendants came bounding up the icy staircase.

"lyta! lyta, where are you?" iyola was desperate to find his little sister, for the only time the code name was ever used was when the siblings mother died and when yue was lost. "what's wrong?"

lyta looked up from her massive canopy bed to see her siblings looking around frantically. "i just found out father has gotten me betrothed."

yue gasps in pure shock, as she never thought this would happen. "to whom?"

"a young man named aola kootoo."

iyola gags to himself, "ew. that creep was in one of my waterbending lessons. he's a real sicko, but his family has money. i'm so sorry lee."

yue, being the optimist she is, chimes in. "maybe aola has changed and won't be such a . . . how do i say it-"

"dickhead?"

the sisters turn to look at their brother in awe at his vocabulary. being the heir to the chief's throne, he was supposed to be more reserved and respectful.

"yes, exactly the word i was looking for."

it is five days till princess lyta will have to marry aola. and to sum it up, she is not pleased in the slightest. neither are her siblings. iyola doesn't want his little sister to marry such a stuck up guy and yue doesn't want her sister to suffer and feel trapped in an unhealthy relationship. sadly, nothing can be done of the situation.

in the late morning, iyola comes bursting through lyta's door. the dark haired girl turned towards her brother in worry.

"io, what is it?"

"he's here."

lyta is questioning her brother's sanity right now. "who's here?"

"the avatar."
