Your POV

You crouch behind a garbage can while you hear all the grunts and moans from the walkers. You control your breathing and try to stop the bleeding in your arm, they walked past you and you let out a sigh of relief. Let's go from the beginning what had happened was that you were in a house looking for more supplies. Then you didn't hear a walker behind you and it bit your arm, you managed to shoot it in the head but the gunshot alerted all the walkers.

That's how you are in the position you are in right now, alone and dying. You really didn't think your life was gonna end up like this, you survived for a good bit but now you have to die. You were about to get up when voices made you freeze "Nick i'm telling you i heard a gunshot and walkers walked this way, i bet we can help this person" one guy said. "Ghetto that person is a lost cause, they either eaten them or got bitten and ran" another said, you quietly huffed and rolled your eyes. You accidently put too much pressure on your wound and you let out a little squeak "did you hear that Nick" and the other guy hummed.You cursed at yourself inside your head and looked for an escape route, you saw there was a garbage can on the other side and there was a fire escape above it.

You heard them walk closer and you heard them cock their guns, you took a deep breath and made a run for it. You jumped on the trash can, and jumped and grabbed the ladder and pulled yourself up and climbed to the roof. You let out let out a cry as you landed on your arm that you got bitten on, you ripped off both of your sleeves and tied it around your arm to stop the bleeding. "Hey" they both called out to you, but you stayed quiet and the only thing you could hear was your heavy breathing. "Hey we can help you" one of the said "you can't help me" you called back, "yes we can just come down" the other one called.

"Unless you have a cure for a zombie bite then i don't need your help" you replied back, they stayed quiet "can we at least talk before the change starts happening". You shakily sighed and looked over the edge, a guy with brown hair, black sweater with a white 'M' on it, blue jeans, and red shoes. The guy next to him he had a suit and it was mixed with black, white, grey and red, and on his face was a mask and where his eyes would be it has green. You stood up and carefully climbed down, careful of your arm, climbing down on the ladder your foot slipped and you fell. You waited for impact but you didn't feel it, you looked up and saw the guy in the suit had caught you "thanks".

"No problem" he said and gently setting you down, you wrapped your tail around your waist and layed your ears flat on your head. "So what's your name i'm Ghetto and that's Nick" ghetto said "the names (y/n)" you replied. 'Wow of course you finally meet people after you get bitten' you snickered at your thought, "what'cha thinkin about" Nick asked "after all this time it's when i get bitten that i finally meet people" you said darkly. "You're a Neko, maybe the bite won't affect you as much" Ghetto said you shrugged "so, what did you want to talk about" you said leaning on one leg. "We just wanted to talk" they said, you sighed knowing that if they get attached it won't end well.

"Fine but, we can't do it here let's go somewhere safe" you said and started to walk the way you came from with them trailing behind you. You started to make your way through the woods and you didn't hear them, you turned around and looked at them "are you guys coming or what" you said. "Isn't the woods more dangerous than the city" Nick asked "nope this city is more dangerous but it has the most supplies so stop being pussies and walk" you said and you continued to walk with them following again. You stopped at a tree and the trunk of the tree had a secret door, you opened it and motioned for them to walk in first they were hesitant at first but jumped in when they heard the groans of the walkers.

You made sure that the door was secure before making your way down the stairs, you saw them gawking at all your weapons and supplies. "So this is my place" you said you went to your computer and flicked it on and i showed all the cameras to the city. "Okay so ask any questions" you said and sat down on the desk and they sat down on the chairs "tell us about yourself" Ghetto said. "Well my name is (y/n) (l/n), im (y/a) years old, i'm a Neko, i like video games, food, and adventures" they nodded, you guys talked for a while and it started to get late "i have spare beds you guys can use". After they settled down you walk back to the main room and sat down in a chair.

A tear rolled down your face but you wiped it away when you heard footsteps coming your way. You turned to see Ghetto walking towards you and sitting next to you. "Hey you alright" he said you chuckled "i've been bitten Ghetto, of course i'm not alright i'm gonna change and i don't want that, i don't want to be one of those man eaters" you sobbed. Tears uncontrollably fell down your face, suddenly you were pulled into a tight embrace. You don't remember the last time you hugged someone so you wrapped your arms around his waist "who know maybe it won't affect you" he whispered. "Hasn't anyone told you to never give a girl hope when they really don't have a chance" you said looking into his mask, he chuckled and you pulled away from the hug.

You started to get a headache, you groaned and held your head "what's wrong" he said "i need to leave, i think i'm starting to change" then the headache went away. You took out all your weapons from your body except a knife, you started to make your way to the door but he grabbed your wrist and pulled you to him. You looked at him with a confused look he caressed your cheek and pulled up his mask to show his lips, and he softly kissed your lips and pulled away. "Just a little something for when, you know" he said and rubbed the back of his neck. You smiled and left and you made sure the door was secure and climbed a tree and jumped from tree to tree to the city.

You found an apartment with no walkers luckily, you walked in and barricaded every window and door. The headache came back stronger, you feel to your knees holding your head, your ears started to ring and sweat started to form on your forehead. Suddenly, you threw up a green substance, just like that the headache was gone, your ears stopped ringing, and you can breath properly. You were confused but this probably wasn't the end of it, you made your way to one of the bedrooms and laid down. You closed your eyes and fell asleep wishing that everything that happened didn't happen this way, you wished that you would be alive longer.

The sunlight beams shining down on your face made you groan and you tried to fall asleep again. Then something occurred to you, you jumped up from the bed and felt yourself, checked for anything wrong, then a thought came to mind. "I'm not a zombie" you whispered a giant smiled formed on your face, you look on your arm to see the bite was healed. You jumped up and walked to the fire escape, you checked to see if there was any walkers but none were in site. You climbed down and started to make your way to the tree, you killed some walkers on the way and you had some zombie blood on you but you didn't mind it.

You opened the door and closed it behind you "do you think she changed yet" Nick asked "i don't know" Ghetto said and he had a sad tone in his voice. "Dude you totally had the hots for her" Nick yelled "dude shut up, the walkers might hear you" Ghetto said "don't worry this place is sound proof" you said walking out. Whatever they were holding they dropped it and ran to you and pulled you into a bone crushing hug "what happened, we thought that you would change" Nick said. You smiled and looked both of their faces but you just stared at Ghetto, Nick looked between the both of you and smirked.

"I'll be in the room but, no funny business you two" he said and left you two blushing, you bit your lip and looked at him "sooo..." you said. "So, you didn't change...... that's good" he said stepping a bit closer, you looked up at him and he put a piece of your hair behind your ear. You couldn't take the silence anymore so you pulled up his mask and smashed your lips on his and he kissed back with the same amount of force. You both pulled back breathless and smiled, and that's how your journey begins you meet his other friends and you all travel to survive but getting was the best thing that happened to you.
