Chapter Twenty Six
Namjoon's POV
"Wow, demanding, are we?" He said sarcastically. I glared at him as he rolled his eyes. "You look mad. But you don't really have a reason to be."
"You didn't tell me you were an assassin, a well known one, and you shot one of my men." I growled out, my teeth grinding together. I was beyond pissed.
"Okay, think about this. Hey Namjoon, I met you yesterday, I'll just go right out and tell you everything about myself, including that I'm an assassin and then we can go and get brunch or something together." He crossed his arms and leaned against the back of the chair. "And you would've killed me if I hadn't shot your man. Sure, I could've just pushed Jimin to the ground and took off, but then you wouldn't have gotten distracted and would've had a clear shot to shoot me."
I clenched my jaw, not wanting to admit it, but knowing he was right. "But I guess I do owe Jimin an apology. Jimin, I'm sorry for shooting you." He said, turning to Jimin. He nodded, acknowledging the apology. "And now, since my father practically sold me to you, I guess I'll be answering any questions you have."
"You'd actually do that?" Jimin asked, surprise evident in his voice. I was surprised as well, not that I'd let it show.
"Well, I have no loyalty to my father whatsoever. I may feel like I have to prove to him that I'm not completely useless to him, but at the end of the day, I'm just a dog that hates his master. Other than that, any other secrets are mine, and only mine, and I'm quite an open book, so..." He shrugged. "What do you want to know?"
I awoke once again to sunlight streaming into the room. Another dream. What the fuck was happening today me? Were these actual memories? Did it actually happen?
But why were the memories coming back now? Why not in the six months if been away? I shook my head and got out of the bed. I threw some sweatpants on and then walked down the hall for some food.
A delicious smell filled my senses and I walked into the kitchen. Standing there, with his back turned to me was Jin, cooking something. I walked in behind him and reached over him to grab a cup for some water.
Jin was startled and looked up at my with wide eyes. But he soon diverted them and turned back to the pancakes he was making.
I drank some water and watched him, leaning onto the counter. The room was filled with an awkward silence. The only sound that came was when he flipped a pancake.
"I should..." I began. Jin froze, not looking at me, but listening. I cleared my throat, looking straight ahead. "I should apologize for yesterday. I hurt you and I'm sorry." Jin nodded. "But that doesn't mean anything more than I'm sorry for hurting you. I do not wish to continue whatever we had until I can figure out what exactly we even had. I do not know whether I would want to continue it if I were to remember anyway. So don't get your hopes up."
He said nothing, just continued flipping the pancakes. "Jin!" A voice sang loudly. Taehyung jumped into the room and onto Jin's back.
"Yah! Get off of me you pig!" He yelled. Taehyung giggled and jumped off of Jin's back.
"Pancakes!? Thanks hyung!" Taehyung then grabbed one off of the plate and skipped away, just eating it plain like that.
"Oi!" Jin yelled back, but his complaint went unheard. He sighed and simply finished up the rest of the batch before scooping the platter of fluffy pancakes up and moving them into the dining room.
As if summoned by the smell, five men ran in, even Yoongi who was most definitely not a morning person. They sat and drooled over the food. Jin looked at all of them.
"You think these are for you?" He asked.
"Who else would they be for!?"
"Uh...me? Make your own breakfast." Jin replied tartly.
"You can't eat this much! You pig!"
"Shut up! I can! Watch this and--YAH!" They ignored him and just started grabbing pancakes. "Those are mine!" Jin grabbed the platter but by then, everyone had already grabbed two or three and were digging in. He groaned and just sat, digging into what was left.
"What about me?" I asked, amused. He turned to me, and for a minute his eyes flickered in submission. But then a disgusted look came over and he scoffed.
"Make your own breakfast. I'm not sharing." The others snickered around the table as I rolled my eyes. I walked back into the kitchen.
Just as I was about to grab something simple to eat, Jin marched in. "God damnit, you're lucky I'm in love with you." He muttered before thrusting a plate of pancakes at me. He walks back into the dining room where I heard yelling.
I rolled my eyes and took a bite of the pancake. Man, these were delicious. Best homemade pancakes I'd ever had.
Third Person POV
Koya was walking down the hall when she spotted Jin. "Hey!" She called.
"Yes?"
"Well hello to you too bitch." She sneered. Jin scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"Stop wasting my time, what do you want?"
"Bitch you don't know what you'd do without me, so be nice." Jin rolled his eyes, but didn't retort. Koya smirked and crossed her arms. "Anyway, just wanted to let you know that the guys are all in Taehyung's lab and they want you. Like, now."
"Why? I was gonna go and take a bath."
"Fuck the bath. It's important. Something came up."
"What do you mean?"
"They dug up Namjoon's grave." She said. Jin wrinkled his nose in distaste.
"They did what?"
"It's important. You need to see it for yourself. And then maybe we can finally figure out what the hell is going on." Jin sighed and nodded. He obediently followed behind Koya, and they made their way to Taehyung's lab.
