Chapter Nineteen
Jin's POV
"How much longer are you going to spend in that damn lab with Tae?" Namjoon sighed out as I came into our now shared bedroom. I rolled my eyes.
"Jealous much?" I teased.
"Come on, Jin. You've been in there nonstop for the past month." It was true. But we we're working on a project. A big project.
"I'm sorry, Joonie, but we've been working on something." Namjoon sighed and I climbed into the bed beside him. I kissed the tip of his nose. He continued to grumble complaints underneath his breath.
I rolled my eyes at his childishness. If there's one thing I could take away from living with these six men, it was that they were all big babies, even douche. Although, he seemed to be less of a douche lately.
Namjoon pulled me into his arms and I snuggled close to his body. "Besides, next week we're going to China. I'll have time to spend with you there."
"I'll be busy, princess."
"You have RM."
"But people don't know about him. I don't want them to know and it'll be hard when he's just a hologram."
"Mmhm." I agreed. "But I promise I'll spend more time with you. Just give me a few more days. It'll be worth it, I promise."
"Fine." He huffed out. I laughed shortly, before we fell into a comfortable silence and then into sleep.
The next three days I managed to finish my surprise for Joonie. I had to pull both Taehyung and Jimin out bright and early to get it done, but it was worth it.
I led Namjoon out to the living room. There sitting on a couch, was his twin. I'd spent the last month working with Taehyung and Jimin building him. I'd found that Taehyung is a very gifted mechanic, and can build almost anything. Jimin is very apt at designing facial structured and such.
"What is this?"
"Meet RM, or Namjoon if you prefer." I winked. RM stood up, holding his hand out. Namjoon took it, but stared in surprise when he could physically feel him.
"You made a robot?"
"Yep. No more hologram RM. Now you can have him stand in for meetings or other things. Very useful, they won't be able to tell the difference. I can't even tell the difference."
"Then how--"
"RM, if you would." RM nodded and suddenly his hair changed from Joonie's black to a dark purple. "I told him to keep his hair a different color in order to avoid confusion. So if you don't dye your hair, we'll be fine."
"Amazing. Thank you, princess." He leaned down and kissed my cheek.
"Ew! No PDA!" Jungkook yelled.
"Shut up." I said. He huffed and turned back to whatever he was doing before.
"He's exactly the same, just in a physical form. He moves and acts like a regular person and the best part..." I flipped a knife out from my ankle, where I always kept one. I made a small knock on RM's hand and red liquid came out. "If he ever gets 'killed', he'll bleed. Meaning people will actually believe your dead."
"Amazing. You're a genius, princess."
"I believe you've already pointed that out."
"And I'll keep saying it until something proves otherwise." He mumbled into my hair. He pulled me into his arms and RM took off to God knows where. Koya suddenly appeared in front of me, and I jumped startled.
"Hey bitches!" She said.
"Fucking bitch." I muttered. She sneered at me before turning to Joonie, batting her eyelashes.
"Hey babe, just wanted you to know that Jacky called and said that you'd have to come to China a little earlier than expected."
"When?"
"Tonight."
"What!?" Both of us said at the same time. Koya giggled as we shared a look before bolting to our room.
"Book a flight then!" I yelled back at Koya, who was laughing at us like a maniac. She made an okay sign and I rushed to my room to pack.
Many hours and a very bad mood later, we landed in China. Jackson smiled at me, opening his arms for a hug. I looked at him sullenly. "What the fuck is so important that you needed us to haul our asses over here?" I demanded.
"Well hello to you too." He replied tartly. I sighed, rubbing the bridge of my nose to relieve some of the stress from the last few hours.
"Just get to the fucking point."
"Right." Jackson dropped his stupid grin and stood straighter. "Jin, I really need you to watch Mark for me. There's been a problem that has arisen in the east, and Mark isn't fully capable of defending himself yet. I can't be there to continue his training, because I need to take Namjoon to deal with the problem."
"So I'm on babysitting duty." I deadpanned.
Jackson sighed. "Please?"
"Fine. But I'm doing this for Markie, and not you." I said, jabbing a finger into his chest. I walked past him and got into the waiting car. Jackson and Joonie would be leaving right away, so I was alone as I was driven to Jackson's house.
I arrived and the taxi dropped me off at the front gates. I turned to the pad by the closed gates and rang the buzzer. A face appeared. "Who are you?" The man demanded.
"My name is Seokjin. Jackson sent me."
"He didn't say anything about you. Go away before you get hurt."
"Let me in." I said flatly.
"I'll give you one more warning. This is private property and a highly guarded area."
"JB!" A voice said and the man turned from the camera. Mark's face appeared as the man named 'JB' argued with him to not let anyone see his face.
Mark looked at me. "Jinnie hyung!" He said excitedly. I smiled and waved.
"Mind letting me in Mark?"
"Yeah!" The gates suddenly opened and I stepped inside. I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked towards the mansion. Mark flung the front door open and attacked me with a hug. I wrapped my arms around him, while the other man who had threatened me stood at the door.
"You came early! But where's Jacky?"
"He had business to attend to with Namjoon." I offered. "I've been sent to keep you company."
"But he said we'd train today!"
"Then I can help you out, how about that?" Mark smiled widely and nodded like a kid. I laughed at how cute he was and turned to the other man. "Lee Seokjin, Jackson's older brother."
"Jaebum." He offered. "Second in command." I gave him a small smile and Mark grabbed my arm, pulling me inside.
"We should go shopping later! You absolutely can't leave without buying something from the market! Oh, and here's your room." We came to a large room and I nodded, throwing my bag on the bed.
"Should we do some training or shopping first?" I asked him.
"Let's go out first! JB!" But he was already behind us.
"Mark..." He began in a serious tone
"Oh come on! I've been stuck inside for forever! It's just the market!"
"Fine, hut I'm coming with."
"Like you weren't going to anyway." I snorted. He shot me a glare and I shrugged, grabbing a new shirt out of my bag and changing quickly.
Mark grabbed my wrist once again and dragged me back outside. About twenty minutes later we found ourselves in a busy market. I looked around.
Mark dragged me to a lot of places, shoving things into my hands and buying them. I kept arguing that I didn't need all of this, but he insisted. JB silently followed behind us, his eyes never once leaving Mark's back.
But the market was very busy, so it was only natural that we were separated at some point. And then I lost Mark in the crowd. He was too energetic, and he moved around too much.
I frantically started to search for him. I moved through the crowd, not even bothering to apologize when I hit people in my haste to find the innocent bean. But when I did find him, I could only imagine how red my face turned.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" I demanded. Three men were surrounding Mark, who was now half naked due to his clothes being ripped. He was curled into a ball, crying. He looked like he was having a panic attack.
"Another one?" The three men looked at each other and grinned.
"Must be our lucky day boys." The leader of the group said.
"J-Jinnie..." Mark sniffled. I clenched my teeth and turned to the three men who'd dragged me into the alleyway as well and were now cornering me.
I throat punched the first man to come at me. The other two stared at me in shock as their friend fell to the ground, coughing and gasping for air. Both charged me. One threw a punch and I blocked it with my forearm. I kicked the second guy in the chest, making him stumble back and fall.
These were just common thugs they stood no chance against me, a trained assassin. I pulled the guy that tried to punch me into a choke hold. He struggled, but he couldn't break free of my grip.
When he stopped struggling, I dropped him. I turned around. One of them was still gasping for air, and the other one I must've kicked too hard, because he was out cold. I rushed over to Mark and knelt in front of him.
"Shhh..." I said quietly. I pulled him in for a hug and he clung to me, crying. "Hey...let's get you out of that shirt."
I tugged the shirt off of him slowly and pulled my own over his head. He was so much smaller than me, and even though I was small myself, my shirt still managed to fall off of one of his shoulders.
Seconds later, Jaebum came running into the alley, his eyes wild. "Relax buddy, I already took care of the problem."
"But how--" his eyes landed on my chest. Or to be more precise, the area between my neck and collar bone, where my tattoo of my lily sat. His eyes widened and he looked at me.
"Am I that beautiful?" I mused.
"You're--"
"So you know me."
"I'm from Korea. Of course I know who you are." I shrugged.
"Could I have your coat?" I asked. He nodded and pulled it off, handing it to me. I pulled it on, and zipped it up. I chucked Marks ruined shirt and picked him up. He was very small and really light. Jaebum quickly took him from me, however, once I stood up.
"I think we should head home." I nodded in agreement. We turned and walked out of the alley and back to the crowded market. By the time we'd reached the house, Mark was out cold. Jaebum took him to his room and I went to mine to unpack.
