They followed Severus down the hall calling after him. "Severus be sensible! We can't go get her until she reads the letter!" McGonagall shouted once he finally stopped in the middle of the hallway. "Once she reads the letter we will find her but we can't just barge in. We have to come up with a plan." Severus sighed and blinked back tears, "I have waited ten years to see my daughter Minerva. Do you have any idea what that feels like?! To only see your child once then have her taken away from you?!"
McGonagall sighed and gently rested her hand on his shoulder. "You're right, I don't know what that feels like. However, now that we know where she is and once I've sent another letter to her we'll be able to bring her back." Severus sighed and nodded, "Alright, alright." They all went back to the Great Hall where the cauldron was still overflowing with blue and turquoise smoke. "We will watch her until she has read the letter." Hermione explained as she put the same ingredients from earlier into the cauldron.
Once again blue smoke rose out of the cauldron forming into a large cuticle and an image began to show. Katie, Trisha, Eden, Belle, and Tatianna were sitting on the floor in their room being lectured by Miss Smith. "You five better not try anything while I'm gone. You know the consequences." She narrowed her eyes at each of them and left slamming the door, the girls waited until they heard the front door close and lock. "Finally! Come on girls!" Tatianna stood up and grabbed a black backpack then pulled on her Steve Martins.
"I don't know about this Tati. What if we get caught?" Katie asked nervously as she opened the window. Tatianna rolled her eyes, "Would you rather have mush or actual food?" Katie didn't respond as Tatianna exited the window, "I'll be back soon with some food." She smiled at them before going down the escape latter reaching the ground her shoes landed on the wet sidewalk. Tatianna glanced around before pulling her backpack tighter and made her way to the small supermarket.
     Tatianna looked at all the people passing by, some in a hurry some taking their time. Cars and taxis honked while birds flew to the ground pecking at leftover bits of food. Tatianna reached the supermarket and browsed the aisles taking out hot pockets, small cups of ramen, applesauce, etc. She quickly paid and made her way out ignoring the suspicious looks while stuffing it all into her backpack.
"Hey! You!" Tatianna jumped and glanced back gasping as she saw an all too familiar police officer speed walking towards her. Groaning she took off running weaving through the crowds of people. Tatianna spotted a narrow alley and squeezed into it pressing herself against the wall watching the officer pass by. She sighed in relief but before she could make her way out a large snowy owl flew down and landed on her shoulder holding a letter in its beak. "Well hello there. What's this?" Tatianna took the letter and stroked the owl as she read.
"No bloody way.." Tatianna's eyes were wide as she folded the letter and stuffed it in her pocket. "Who told you to bring this?" The owl hooted and nipped her ear affectionately before taking off. "Well that was helpful.." Tatianna muttered while waking back and climbing up the latter then back into the window closing it behind her. "Tati! You're back!" Eden ran up and hugged her. "Of course I am. I brought food too." Eden squealed in delight and they all opened her bag pulling out the food.
"Good haul today Tai! By the way happy birthday." They smiled and laughed as they ate some of their food and hid the rest under a loose floorboard. Their bellies full and happy they climbed into bed pulling the covers over them and ignoring the sounds of Miss Smith stumbling in.
The smoke disappeared and Severus was the first to speak. "Well? Are we going after her or not?" Hermione nodded, "I suppose so. Yes, she apparently lives in New York City." Ron blinked in surprise. "New York? Blimey I've never been there." Hermione rolled her eyes and kissed his cheek, "There's a first time for everything." Severus scoffed as they all joined hands apperating to NYC.
        They appeared near the same alley that Tatianna hid in from the policeman. "I think it's around midnight. We better get going." Harry said as they pocketed their wands and made their way to a large brick apartment. "Come on and remember to keep quiet." Hermione whispered as they quietly entered the building.
Each of them climbed up the stairs until they reached the fourth floor; they walked down the hall looking at the numbers on the doors. "Here it is.." Hermione whispered as she unlocked the door with magic. Severus's heart was pounding and his thoughts were flying, he couldn't believe that he would finally see his daughter. "I think someone's coming. Hide!" They all scrambled to find a hiding place only to end up falling on the couch.
       Tatianna walked into the living room yawning and ran a hand through her black hair. Severus's hands twitched with a yearn to hug his daughter and never let her go. McGonagall pinched his arm which earned a small grunt of pain from him. Tatianna suddenly froze and slowly turned around, she flicked on the light switch and her eyes widened. "Oh..my..god.." Tatianna reached behind her and grabbed a frying pan from the kitchen counter. "Who are you people?"
     McGonagall stood up slowly and held her hands up in a comforting gesture. "It's alright dear. We aren't here to hurt you." Ron suddenly appeared behind her, "A frying pan isn't going to do anything." Tatianna squealed and whipped around hitting him in he head with the pan and knocking him out. "Oops." Hermione gasped an rushed over gently shaking Ron, "It's alright. He's only knocked out."
Tatianna sighed in relief and glanced over to see a man who looked similar to her staring at her. She raised her eyebrow and he quickly looked away. McGonagall shook her head muttering under her breath, "Tatianna dear...why don't you sit down? Please?" Tatianna gave all of them a suspicious look before sitting on the each of a red chair facing them, the frying pan laying next to her. "Good. My name is Minerva McGonagall. I am the headmistress at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Tatianna's eyes widened  in realization and took the crumpled letter out of her pocket, "So, you sent me this letter?"
McGonagall nodded, "You're a witch Tatianna. Someone who has magical abilities and Hogwarts is a place where children like you are taught how to control and master them." Harry leaned forward, "I know this may sound crazy. Believe me I know.. I used to be in the same situation you're in right now except you have family. Your father.." Tatianna blinked in surprise and shook her head, "That can't be possible. My father left me on this doorstep when I was a baby." Severus finally couldn't take it anymore and stood up standing in front of Tatianna. "That isn't true. I only saw you when you were born but you were taken from me."
Tatianna shot out of her seat in fury with her hands clenched in fists. "Did you even try to find me when I was taken?! No! You left me here with that vile Miss Smith!" Her eyes started to grow misty with unshed tears, "I waited ten years for you to find me and take me home or wherever home is!" Tatianna was glaring at him the way Snape used to glare at Harry; with pure loathing. "I'll go to this Hogwarts School but I don't want you to come into any contact with me." She turned on her heel and stomped back to the girls bedroom.
