Ezra sits up on the couch, holding Lea to not fall off him, and asks "So it's true when they say, people die around you. You kill them"
"NO" cries Lea aloud. She stands out of his lap and all while crying says "People die. Everyone dies. Humans are so pathetic. They promise to be with you. They promise to love you. They promise protection and then go ahead and die"
Ezra watches her meltdown and lets her cry out her heart.
"I had to grow up alone taking care of my sick grandma and then when she died, grandpa who promised he would not die, DIED. Then my alcoholic so-called mother came to die in front of me. I had no one" cries Lea and then cools down and while sobbing she continues "Francis paid for my nursing school and when I asked why, he said he was my mother's friend. I thought he would be my father"
"Is he?" Asks Ezra.
Lea looks at Ezra and says "You tell me. If he was my father, would he ask me to suck his dick in return for money?"
Ezra didn't answer but his silence gave her the answer.

Lea kneels on the floor and cries "I am not a prostitute. But when I saw Daniel with Jasmine. I didn't mind paying him for a little intimacy with my consent, not r*pe me" cries Lea.

Ezra watches a broken girl in front of him but he was no mender to mend anyone with his broken self.

Ezra stands up, holds her arm to make her stand up, and takes her to the bathroom. He tells her to wash her face to which she cries "I am still crying"
"Continue crying tomorrow. For now, let's get some sleep" says Ezra and Lea cries louder. Ezra looks at Lea and leans forward and kisses her lips which makes her stop crying in shock. Ezra breaks the kiss and says "We all have our past haunting us. We have to learn to live with it"

Lea stops crying and washes her face and dries it all while Ezra watches her. She then awkwardly looks at him and says "I need to pee"
Ezra folds his arms across his chest and leans back at the sink and says "Go ahead"
"No" whispers and squeezes her legs together.
Ezra snickers and comes close to her and whispers in her ear "I have seen what's down there"
Lea bites her lower lip and Ezra walks out of the bathroom smirking.

Lea walks out of the bathroom and sees Ezra sleeping on the bed. She goes to the other side and sleeps beside him, watching him.
"People in old age homes died of old age," says Lea and Ezra only says "Hmm.."
"I didn't kill them. I have their death summary with me to prove it" says Lea and Ezra opens his eyes, turns towards her, and asks "Why?"
"As proof that I didn't kill them," says Lea.
"If I ask you something. Will I expect the truth?" Asks Ezra and Lea nods.
"If you get a chance, will you kill Daniel?" Asks Ezra and Lea looks at him for a few minutes and says "Death is too easy punishment"
"What would you do?" Asks Ezra.
"Let's just say. If you have a beast in you. I have a small animal in me too which has fought to survive till now" says Lea with tears in her eyes.

Ezra pulls her close and holds her to comfort her. A comfort she was never used to.
"You say a small animal and all I can imagine is a chihuahua," says Ezra, and Lea narrows her teary eyes at him.

The next morning, Ezra stood in front of Daniel who had a nasty cut going across from his right eyebrow to his cheek.
"What happened?" Asks Ezra with Jasmine seated beside Daniel.
"I was mugged" lies Daniel.
Ezra fists Daniel's shirt with two hands and says "Or you tried to r*pe Lea and she defended herself leaving you looking like an ugly trout"
"Daniel" whispers Jasmine I'm shock and stands up to put a little distance between them.
"Bitch is lying. I didn't do no shit" says Daniel and Ezra leaves his shirt.

Ezra waits for Daniel to confess his crime but Daniel refuses again.
"Ok" is all Ezra says and walks away.
Daniel looks at Ezra leave and screams "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING"
Ezra stops walking, looks back at him, glares for a few seconds, and leaves.

"Shit," says Daniel and he knew he had a short time to think of getting out of this situation. Ezra was brutal when he came to punish anyone.
"Daniel, is this true? Did you...?" Asks Jasmine but stops when Daniel says "I didn't do anything"
"Daniel, I love you," says Jasmine but Daniel was not in the mood to think of her.
"Fuck off" screams Daniel making Jasmine busy out crying and run out of his room.

Lea woke up with a fever but refused to sleep it off. She enters Arturo's bedroom wearing Ezra's huge t-shirt. Arturo had just finished breakfast and the night nurse was about to hand him his pills. Lea takes the pills in her hand to inspect and looks up at the night nurse.
"What's this pill?" Asks Lea to the nurse.
"It's the usual medication" awkwardly laughs the nurse.
"Where are the rest?" Asks Lea.
"Aahhh ... They are there," says the nurse pointing at the corner.
"Or they are in your pocket," says Lea and pushes the nurse making her fall on the floor.

Lea fights the nurse to find the pills and finds them in her pocket. Lea felt weak from the fever but was too exhausted to pretend someone was poisoning Arturo.
Lea holds the nurse's arms on the nurse's chest and sits on them, straddling her chest and arms.
"Let's see how this works on you," says Lea and shoves a few pills in the nurse's mouth.
"Wanna tell me who is poisoning him?" Asks Lea.
"No, I don't know. I was only instructed to add the pill with the rest. Please don't kill me" begs the nurse struggling to push Lea off her.
"Who instructed you?" Asks Arturo.
"The instructions came in the mail with money," says the nurse.
"Just like always," says Arturo bored.

Lea looks at Arturo for him to explain. Seeing this as an opportunity, the nurse pushes Lea off her and runs out to puke the pills.

Lea hit her head to the corner of the table and the last thing she remembers is Arturo screaming for her and Musa rushing in and holding her in his arm.

Lea was on bed rest for two days with the head maid taking care of her and Arturo in the outhouse. Lea insisted on staying with Arturo.
"Not gonna let you die on me," says Lea.
"Or get entertained. What was that fight with that nurse? I got excited to see a girl fight and all you did was shove a few pills down her throat. Boring" says Arturo making the lady physiotherapist laugh, who has been visiting Arturo regularly.
"She didn't die. Just gave her the taste of her own medicine. Get it?" Laughs Lea, wrapped in a cocoon of a warm cover drinking hot coffee.
"You are not funny" comments Arturo and looks at the physiotherapist and continues "But you my sweet doctor are beautiful"
The physiotherapist, Elena blushes at Arturo's compliment.
Lea rolls her eyes and gets back to drinking coffee.

Lea had not come across Daniel for the past few days and had kept her distance from Jasmine too. Ezra was absent too which left Lea feeling left alone after some petty sympathy.

It had been a good one week and Lea took over the day and night shift to take care of Arturo. But since he was not poisoned with a high dose of muscle relaxers and was regular with his physiotherapy, Arturo was more mobile and was not too dependent on anyone.

It was late at night and Lea was about to fall asleep when she feels someone caress her cheek. She opens her eyes and sees Ezra seated in her bed. She sits up and he says "Come with me"
"I am not a prostitute," says Lea.
"Yes, you made that very clear. And I am not taking you with me to have sex" says Ezra.
"You are not?" Asks Lea a little disappointed and continues bored "Then what do you want?"
"Just come," says Ezra and takes her to the basement of the mansion.

Ezra watches her as she walks in front of him wearing cotton shorts and a tank top. He wanted to spank that butt but that could wait. Lea walks in further at the back of the basement and had wide eyes seeing what was in there.
Ezra leans close to her ear and says "Go wild my little chihuahua"

Lea blinks her eyes to be sure what she was seeing. Tied to a chair was Daniel, blindfolded, shirtless with bruises on his body.
"Who beat him?" Asks Lea.
"He touched what he was not supposed to," says Ezra and leans to kiss her shoulder and continues "he touched what I want to claim"
