Reika stared at him for a while in shock. It was her who wanted this? What was so horrible that she wanted to forget?
"What an adorable expression on your face, so surprised. It's nice to see something else than anger and annoyance," Ferid cooed, snapping her out of daze.
Her look of shock was replaced with a sharp glare as she spoke in a demanding tone, "why did I want to forget about my past?"
"It's a secret~!" Ferid said songily, placing his index finger over his mouth in a hush manor.
Her frown deepened. What was so traumatic that led her to want to never recall her past life? What of her father? Mother? Yuu? She wanted to remember the one that had captured her heart when she was young, who gave her the bracelet she grew fond of. She wanted to remember him. She wants him.
"How do I get my memories back?" Reika questioned, her mind made.
Ferid had a thoughtful look on his face as he responded, "the tablets I gave you were experimental at the time so I truly do not know the anecdote to its effects."
Dread settled in her. What if she could never remember? What if she can never remember Yuu? Would she forget about him forever without even knowing what happened to him?
"But there is someone who might know," Ferid stated, making her eyes brightening with a dash of hope.
"Queen Krul Tepes. She issued the testing of the drug and has all the data based on it. Perhaps she knows how to reverse it."
Her face paled. Krul was one of the most cruelest vampires. She was known for torturing her servants if they did not satisfy her. She was also incredibly powerful. Even more than Ferid. One wrong move and Reika's life could be out on the line.
"Fortunately for you, one of your friends are extremely close with our beloved Queen," the noble smiled.
Reika looked confused by his statement for a second before she realized who he was referring to.
"Mikaela Hyakuya. The Queen is quite fond of her Seraph of the Ends."
Reika stared at him and behind all the silliness, she could tell Ferid was serious. By now, she can tell that much of him. She knew what she had to do. She just hoped Mika would comply.
She turned around and started to walked away, ending their conversation without another word. Ferid stared after her, admiring her gracefulness as she sashayed into the building, away from his sight.
He sighed and looked up into the bright sky dramatically, "My, my, it seems my little girl is grown up."
The brown haired girl walked confidently through the building, other vampires stopping to give her a slight bow of respect, after all, she was Ferid's. She ignored them and kept walking and as she reached her destination, she pushed the door in front of her.
Mika and Naoki were playing around. The little boy was laughing loudly as Mika carried him around the room, pretending to be a horse. The girl couldn't help but to smile at the scene.
Naoki noticed Reika by the door and leaped out of Mika's arms, running towards the girl. He jumped and she caught his small body, twirling him around making him giggle. She set him down, Naoki sending her a huge grin before bolting towards the blonde headed vampire, tackling him to the ground.
"Man down! Man down!" Mika gasped dramatically as Naoki punched him repeatedly, the vampire pretending to act hurt after each blow.
"I will save thee!" Reika declared then rushed to their side, yanking Naoki from him. The boy squirmed in her arms then maneuvered himself around, starting to attack her with tickles. Even though she hated to admit it, she was extremely ticklish. She burst into fits of giggles.
"Haha! Stawp it! Haha, I can't breathe!" she laughed.
Mika snickered and watched in amusement as Naoki punched Reika's shoulder. She pretended to be hurt and fell to the ground, clutching her shoulder.
"I've been shot! I'm going to dieeeee!" she wailed. Naoki stood proudly beside her, proud of himself for taking down someone twice his size.
Still playing along, Mika rushed to her side and held her hand and mocked a sad voice, "No! Please, hold on! Fight! I cannot do this without you!"
"It's over. I'm a goner. Go, save yourself. Avenge me," Reika pretended to die, closing her eyes and tried to stay still.
"NOOO!!" Mika cried.
"Haha, I won!" Naoki announced.
"You monster!" Mika pointed at him then scooped him from the ground. The little boy laughed as Mika threw him on the bed jokingly.
"I am a zombie!" Reika stood up, still playing along with Naoki, temporarily forgetting about her worries.
"Aah! Run from the zombie!" Mika shouted and threw Naoki over his shoulder, bolting towards the closet. He shut the door behind him, locking it shut.
"Rawr, I want your brain," she banged on the door. She could hear Naoki and Mika giggling from the outside.
"One, two three, go!"
The door suddenly opened and Reika was tackled to the ground by two people. She let out an 'oof' as they landed on her, feeling the weight of two bodies made her groan in pain. They were quite heavy combined.
The three glanced at each other, all having the same goofy expression on their face. They bursted out laughing, not even knowing what they were laughing at. All they knew was that at that moment, nothing worried them. They were just one happy family.

"Night, night, Nao," Reika smiled and kissed his forehead sweetly. The little boy snuggled into the covers, a smile on his lips as Mika bid him goodnight.
"May I talk to you, outside?" the girl questioned. Mika could see the seriousness on her face and nodded. Sending one more smile to Naoki, they met outside the room, in the hallway.
"What's wrong?" Mika asked in concern.
"Can you ask Krul to meet with me, in private? I wish to speak with her," Reika stated. His eyes widened in surprise at her favor.
"Why on earth would you want to talk to her? She is not the type of person you can just chat and have a cup of tea with! She's the vampire Queen!" Mika threw his hands up to emphasis how dangerous this was.
"I know, I know," she sighed, "but it is super important."
"Tell me why first," he said stubbornly, crossing his arms over his chest.
She hesitated at first. Should she tell him everything? Will he help her? She erased these thoughts. This was Mika she was talking about. He can definitely be trusted. She looked up at him with serious eyes then explained everything to him.
"When I was turned into a vampire, Ferid gave me tablets that slowly blocked my memories, making me forget my past life. I can't remember anything; my parents, my family, my childhood. Nothing. Krul can give them back to me. I want to remember him."
"Him? Who are you talking about?" Mika couldn't help but let anger lace in his words. He didn't know why he was angry. He didn't even know who 'him' was. He felt an unknown anger settle and he had no way to stop it from spreading.
"I can vaguely remember a boy who I loved very much. We were very close. Even though I was drugged and my memories were blocked, they couldn't take away the feelings I had for him. They were too powerful to be forgotten. I want to remember him. I need to remember him, Mika. If he is still alive, I will do anything in my power to have him back by my side."
Reika touched the bracelet as she spoke, love shining through her eyes. This made his frown deepen, the unknown anger still present.
"Who was he to you?" Mika questioned.
"We promised to marry each other when we see again. If I find him, I will fulfill that promise. He is the most important person to me," she smiled, remembering bits and pieces of the memory at Moonlit Mountain.
Mika clenched his fist. The anger was flaring in his like a wildfire. He had no idea why he was so furious at the thought of this boy. But behind all this anger, he felt sadness. His emotions made him treat her harshly.
"I am sorry but I cannot help you. Krul and I have a complicated relationship. I cannot simply demand answers or favors. If you want those memories back so badly, you are going to have to do it by yourself," he snapped with menacing eyes then turned around and ripped the door open, slamming it behind him afterwards.
Reika flinched from the loudness and was surprised by his reaction. She thought he would help her but instead he left her alone to deal with this. She felt hurt by his sudden harshness. Still confused by his actions, she walked away, knowing that he cannot be counted on any longer.
Before she knew it, she had reached a large maroon colored door, its elegance fit for a Queen. She had reached the throne room of the one and only, Krul Tepes. Reika hesitated at first, almost wanting to turn back around and find Mika. She erased these absurd thoughts as she remembered what he had said. He cannot be trusted for this. She was on her own.
Breathing in shakily, she finally mustered up the courage to do push open the door. The immediate scent of blood was present as she walked in. The floor was made out of spotless tiles, the walls a blood red color and a large chandelier hung over the throne.
Krul Tepes was seated at the throne, a line of vampire guards in front of her. The Queen looked up as someone had walked in. Her eyebrows raised in surprise, she analyzed the uninvited guest. The girl had long untameable brown hair and crystal blue eyes. She held confidence as she stood in front of the Queen's throne. Krul recognized her from the assembly, the one Mika seemed to close to. The guards made a move to stop the vampire but the Queen stopped them.
"Leave us be," she dismissed, her voice holding authority. The guards bowed and distanced themselves from the two ladies.
"Answer me, who are you?" Krul questioned.
"My name is Reika and I would like to ask you a few things."
The Queen stared at the girl, suprised how she didn't address her as 'your highness' or 'my queen'. Interested by the girl in front of her, she nodded, gesturing her to continue.
"Ferid told me that you were experimenting with a certain drug that could take away or block people's memories."
Krul nodded, remembering the time when Ferid had taken samples of this drug and was using it for his own personal use.
"I was the one who was taking that and it did work. Is there any way to regain my memories?"
There was a short moment of silence before the queen's eyes sparked with realization. She suddenly remembered why this girl seemed familiar.
"Ah, now I remember who you are. You are Ferid's girl. I believe this is the first time we meet properly."
Reika's fist clenched at the usual nickname of being called 'Ferid's' but she was by far not use to it. It annoyed her to no end when people called her that.
"My, my, I am surprised to see you alive. Ferid's play things don't usually last that long," Krul smiled sinisterly, looking her up and down. Reika started to get angry at her mocking tone.
"Yes, yes I am alive, oh the joy," she said sarcastically, "now, is there any way to regain my memories?"
Krul narrowed her eyes at her, hearing the sarcastic and demanding tone in her voice. No one dared to speak to her like that. She was the Queen after all. But the girl's confidence made her intrigued, letting her disrespectfulness slide.
"Yes, there is. The drug was made of my blood meaning in order to reverse its effects, you will have to have the opposite of its properties to cancel it out," she stated.
"And what will that be?" Reika asked eagerly.
Krul smirked as she said what Reika must do in order to remember everything she had forgotten. What she said next shook Reika to the core.
"You must drink human blood."
