Keep Him Secret
JUNGKOOK'sP.O.V
My phone vibrated, meaning I got a text message. Putting on a fresh boxer and new pair of ripped jeans and a yellow shirt, my outfit for the day is ready. Taking the phone from the nightstand I sighed when I saw the messages were none other than from my grandmother.
Granny👵

HandsomeJjk

Granny👵

HandsomeJjk

Granny👵

HandsomeJjk
I'll b der wthn 5mins.
Groaning I switched off the device in my hand, I quickly went to the downstairs. It's a been a week since the whole my mother and grandmother swooning over my anonymous fiancée.
The fact they dodge the question whenever I ask about the name, pissing me off. Even protesting against this stupid marriage is of no use, doesn't matter if I whine, cry or beg.
"Jeon Jungoooook!" Father's scream snapped me out of my thoughts. Quickly combing my hair, I approached towards the downstairs while my fingers stuffed inside the pockets of my blue jeans.
With my fakest smile I stood in front of my family, but it quickly faded when all the three pairs of eyes examining me from head to toe. "Can't you dress like a gentleman? You're meeting your fiancée." My father said in extremely bitter tone.
I glanced at my father, brows raised, rolled eyes hard at the mention of my so called "fiancée". He really thinks I'm actually marrying this unknown girl, I'm gonna straightaway reject that girl in front of everyone. This is probably gonna be humiliating for that poor, but that is one of the things I don't give a fuck about. "Appa, it's not that big of a deal." I replied annoyed.
"Kookie, listen to your dad once," Grandma piped in, "It's just for one day. We need to have a good image of you," she added and I groaned in annoyance.
"Ok ok. I will wear a suit." With that I quickly left that place and went upstairs—to change into a better outfit.
Quickly changing into new outfit, I came downstairs wearing a fresh new suit. As soon their gazes fell on me, their frown is replaced by happy smiles. My father hugged, "Oh my son. You're a big man now."
I laughed, awkwardly. "Okaaay. Now let's go. Or else I won't get so," Granny said, waiting at the door. Both my father and me nodded in unison, and with that we all stepped out of the house.
JINA'S P.O.V
"What do mean 'keep him secret'?" I asked, while fuming in anger.
"You know exactly what I mean," Mother answered nonchalantly, not meeting my gaze. She just continued stirring the vegetables in the stove, while I was standing behind her in disbelief. "Its your father's idea, and I also thought about it, and I think it's a good decision."
"But I can't abandon my only son for the sake of this stupid marriage."
Mother sighs, she then turned around and met my gaze, "Jina, abondaning my own grandson is the last thing I will do, but this is about you, your marriage."
"No please I—"
"Jina," my words were cut off by my father's voice, who was standing at the kitchen door. He slowly approached towards me with slow steps, and finally stood in front of me.
He exhales a heavy sigh, "Jina, you're my daughter, and I'm doing what's best for you, and also what's best for JungSu."
My eyes were forming tears, "B-But.."
He patted my hair, "We're not hiding him, just his real identity." He then paused for a second, and then continued, "Trust me it's the only way, and also the best way."
I didn't say anything, and just stared blankly at my father. It's so difficult for me to. My mother put her hand on my shoulder, which pulled me out of my thoughts, "Jina your future husband is a billionaire, and don't you think it will be such a waste a golden opportunity."
For me it's like a huge responsibility, instead of a golden opportunity. My throat became dry, and I don't understand why tears are literally forming in my eyes. "I-It's t-too much. I want to s-study Eomma, w-what about my s-studies?" my voice was shaking, and stuttered words are leaving my mouth.
"Oh Jina, your husband is a billionaire, don't have to worry about your studies." Father answered my question but I'm sure it's crystal clear on my face , "You can continue after marriage, beside girl's don't need education that much."
I felt slightly offended when he said that, "But Appa, Eomma, I'm honestly not ready. Like everything is too much."
Mother chuckled, "What do you mean you're not ready? You agreed to it remember." She asked, raising or of her eyebrows.
"Eomma no," I groaned, "I didn't exactly agree, but..I-I don't know. I was not thinking straight that time and you know why."
"Oh I'm more than glad you broke up with that guy." Mother giggled.
Even though me and Jinwoo aren't together, I still felt offended the way both my parents talked about him. "So you both never liked him?" My voice was slightly bitter about this matter.
"Well I did like him at first, when he was gentleman, and humble." Mother replied. "I'm glad he showed his true face. I'm actually very thankful, he made my job easier."
"So if he never cheated, will you both accept him?" I asked, and was eagerly awaiting for the answer. I never thought they low key disliked him, just because he's not a billionaire.
"Jina, my one and only daughter. Sometimes in life we should follow our mind, instead of our heart." Father said, and mother nodded with his words. He then continues, "That's how the world works, even if you liked Jinwoo, you still wouldn't be happy."
"But Appa, money is not everything, and it doesn't bring you happiness."
"Oh Jina," My mother sighs, "Those statements are made by poor people to feel better about themselves. If money is not happiness, then your father would live happily ever after with his debts."
"Hey! Don't be mean." Father whines, and glares playfully at my mother. The scene made me laugh, and I couldn't help but burst out.
"Jina, think about your father's struggles." My mother voice is full of serious. "All his debts would be clear if you marry the one we choose."
"Yes Jina, think about it." Now this father spoke up in a soft voice. "Don't you want to help your father?"
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, and father understood, "Jina, don't you want to develop JungSu's future? As a mother, do you want it or not
Now I'm feeling guilty. Never have I thought about how much struggles my parents has to go through, only to raise me, and provide me education. They didn't neglect JungSu, nor did ever criticized him for who he is. Now also they're also handing me the marriage only for JungSu's sake.
Father's voice pulled me out of my thoughts, "Yes Jina, think about it. It will mostly benefit JungSu."
I nodded my head, and he continues, "If you marry this man, it will not only benefit your life, but also JungSu's."
"Yeah I do know, but I don't want to rely on his money." I swallowed a huge gulp.
"Oh Jina, when you marry him, all of his money will be yours, and you can spend it however you want." Father reassured. I don't have any more words to say, so I just hummed and nodded at his words.
I just took a deep breath and relaxed for a second, "Ok so, umm when we are meeting this guy?" My heart was accelerating, thinking about marriage. As much as I don't want to, I still can't protest against my parents. "What's his name, the person I'm going to marry?"
"Its secret, darling," Mother giggled, and I just sighed, not even bothered to ask furthermore questions.
I have to accept this marriage, especially for JungSu's sake. Then only I can give him a happy life.
"Well so when we're going to see ummmm" I was so uncomfortable to even finish the sentence.
"Fiancee?" Mother completed the sentence, and father laughed. "Well sweetie we're meeting him today?"
"Today?!" My eyes widened, my heartbeat accelerated.
"Well not today actually. We're meeting them after half an hour."
"What?!" My voice might crack, because of how loud I screamed.
"Yes, my lovely daughter. Now go and get ready." Father ordered, and gestured his hand for me to go to my room.
"Ok. But where is JungSu? Shouldn't we take him along with us too?"
"No", both mother and father said in unison.
"What?! Why?!"
"Because we want to keep him as secret as possible remember." Father answered.
"B-But," I sighed, remembering the stupid deal. "Then let me at least check-up on him."
"Jina, why are you wasting your time?" Mother's voice is full of anger. "And JungSu is not here. We left him in the neighbor's house to play with their son."
"Ok," I nodded, locking my eyes on the cold-hard floor, "But I want to meet him.
Mother slaps the back of my head, and I moaned in pain, "Ouch, what was that for?"
"Go and get ready. I already prepared a dress for you." I sighed, and quickly went to my room. I just home my fiancee is not a creepy, and wrinkly old man. I hope at least he look like a Prince Charming.
JUNGKOOK'S P.O.V
Walking into the VIP room of the hotel, with my best suit, along with my parents, and grandma. I'm glad father rented out the whole restaurant for today or else I can't tolerate the All of the looks so happy, while my face is expressionless. They're if they're going to get married, not me, while I can't wait to reject the girl, and I can't help but smirk thinking about it.
"Fucking hell," I muttered under my breath, and in return I got a pinch on my shoulder. "Ouch, Grandma! What the hell!" I rubbed the spot where she pinched, and pretended to get hurt, when in reality I felt nothing.
"Stop with your childishness," Grandma scolded, and continued her nag. Mom and Dad are already sitting one of the table. Chatter resumed, laughter trickled from throats, and the day-to-day dissonance filled the empty room of the restaurant.
The sudden urge of smoking pricking at my nerves. I really want to smoke badly, at least one cig. I know I promised Hyung, but I have to hide my small addiction from him.
Addiction? I don't think I'm actually addicted, but I do smoke when I'm stressed. And marriage is a whole stress.
I coughed slightly, "Granny, umm I remembered something important work." I scratched the back of my neck, and waited her answer.
She glared at me, "No, your works are not that important, tell someone else to handle it for you."
"Granny pl—"
"No, your fiancée is on the way." She said, and crossed her arms.
"Granny, I swear it will take only few minutes." I pleaded, but still the frown remained on her face. Then an idea stuck on my mind, "I will bring flowers for her."
As soon as those words left from my mouth, her rigid frown loosened into carefree grin, finally returning back to her usual mannerism. "Okay Kookie, bring those big and fresh red roses. They're symbols of love and eternity."
I flashed her a huge smile, "Okay granny. I have to go real quick." I gave a slight peck on her forehead, and quickly left this place.
I can't believe I have to be sweet, and romantic by bringing flowers and stuff, when my plan is to just reject the girl.
Driving far away from the restaurant, I parked my car in an abandoned alley. Taking out a cigar, I lit it, and started blowing it. The sight of the smoke slowing vanishing is such a satisfying sight for my eyes. Ugh I can't wait to get over this stupid shit quickly, and end this as soon as possible.
A/N:- NEVER EVER neglect education for marriage's sake.
NEVER EVER marry for parents or anyone's sake.
Don't make decisions like Jina. Marry when you're ready, and when you want to marry, don't marry for anyone's sake.
