I walked the streets of the 20th ward looking for something to eat. I don't know what to do exactly, so I listened to my nose to find food.

My stomach is grumbling louder by the minute ,my head isn't right. While I kept chanting something.

Kill a person ......kill......and.... eat their flesh!!!

What?!

I came to my senses, surprised at what I had just said.
"What am I even doing here? Its almost though I'm turning into them
I hang my head and headed home.
Then a sweet scent hit me

I breathed in the inviting aroma

What's that smell? Meat.....meat!......meat!...... Drool dropped from my already watering mouth. I got excited, I hadn't eaten in a week so I'm really famished. This smells like my dad's home cooking when I was little. I don't know what its but it smells so familiar.

Where is it? Where? Where is it?! I constantly asked while
following the sweet scent. Running through the dim alley ways.

I stumbled on a pile of trash causing me to fall along with the garbage. I don't care about my well being now, I just want to eat.
I was smiling wildly, finally smiling for days I haven't smiled like this.

Its just around the corner and I'm there I can finally eat something.

When I reached the end of the corner. My wide smile slowly disappeared, what more to see when a gruesome show was happening.
A male ghoul feeding on a human the ghoul looked happy while he ate. He had long shaggy hair, dark brown skin and a pair of red eyes with black scleras.

No, this can't be real....

I fell to my knees the dirty ground still cold from not seeing the sun. This place looks like it has never seen the sun anyway. My eyes widen as I watch the show, I was terrified of what I was becoming.

"How..." I asked myself silently "How did I become enticed by the smell of a corpse!?"

This tears never stopped from falling since that accident. What am I gonna do now?! I'm turning into one of them.......

The ghoul noticed my sniffles. He stopped eating, glancing up to me. "You're a ghoul......right? What's wrong, are you okay?" the ghoul was kind I think, maybe even though he killed someone he was being considerate. But, I cant stop crying.

"My name's Kazuo,"The ghoul introduced himself "Its been a long time for me so, I can't share share much" he offered me an arm as in an actual arm. "please, have som- "

A leather shoe topped his head.

With a swift kick, his head flew, not finishing in mid sentence.
Blood squirted with his head. I still sat there wide eyed as some blood reached my cheeks.

"Sheesh don't go plundering my feeding grounds" a man probably in his early twenties said casually as he scratched the back of head.
He wore a sweater, had brown pants and large rectangular glasses. Had a nice color of brown in his hair. He was handsome for sure but, emitted a demonic aura and I could sense it. Strongly.

"Hmm... I never seen you here, you new?, well hey you only have one kakugan that's kinda creepy". He nonchalantly said.

"This is my feeding grounds so......" With a stride of brown and red grabbed my neck --hard-- he pushed me against the wall a few inches above the ground. His face turns serious as he stared at me with narrow eyes.

"I....didn't know... I just passed by" I barely said it under my breath, his strangling me, I can't push him off. My hands quivered I was losing precious oxygen.

"Imagine this,your boyfriend was half naked, his shirt gone and there's this girl wore nothing except a shirt that belongs to your boyfriend and she says"

"It isn't look what it looks like I just happened to pass by wearing his shirt and all" nonchalantly said as he still held my neck with pressure. I'm losing my consciousness here.

"It were, me I killed the bitch and that's what I'm gonna do to you as punishment for trespassing my feeding grounds- "
He smiled evilly as he said those words.

"And who said this your feeding grounds? " a voice from above interrupted the evil person's lecture.

A small body fell from above the building's rooftop and landed on her feet.

"Since when was this your feeding grounds? Nishiki " slowly she rises from her stance.

The said Nishiki released his hold on my reddened neck. I grasped for the sweet air to fill my lungs. I choked to relieve the pain in my neck.

"Touka" was his only reply. Short Silence filled the dark alley.

"I know that binge eater of a woman is dead" he said with no remorse whatsoever as he looked at the purple haired girl.

"And that means that these are your feeding grounds? the task responsible for distributing the food to the weaker ghouls in the 20th ward is the people at 'Anteiku' "Calmly, she said with a low tone.

"Huh? You baby sitters have no right to take every little problem, this was my feeding grounds before Rize came because-"

The aura between them started to change, blood lust churned within the two. I could only watch at this turn of events.

"Because you were weak" The known Touka, completed Nishiki's
sentence.

"Being insulted by someone who's younger than me really pisses me off " Nishiki took short steps slowly towards Touka as her kakugan eyes glimmered bright red.

"Now is it?" Touka also walking towards Nishiki her crimson eyes turning into a blaze of fiery red.

It was as a lightning, flashed their movements were quick. When they crossed passed, Nishiki turned suddenly to attack the purple haired girl. But Touka evaded it with a double twist she easily performed.

After their short, intense battle had ended. Nishiki adjusted his glasses and looked at his small cut above his right cheek.

"You have to cut deeper than that" after he said that a fraction of a second. His entire body was etched with small but deep cuts on his legs and arms.

"Can I go any further?" Her eyes stared coldly at him as she waited for his reply

"Tch" was he's only response before turning to the darkness of the alley provided.

"Aren't you gonna take your corpse with you? you whiny baby"
As she said those words hear purple and cold eyes stared into were Nishiki disappeared to the looming abyss.

I breathed heavily as I gazing at the corpse. My stomach complained again telling me to eat. Saliva dropped from my mouth as beads of sweat started to appear on my forehead. The girl who looked a little younger than me was probably sixteen to maybe seventeen years of age.

She silently reached for the hand the other ghoul offered me before."You want this?" Her cold expression slightly turned to a caring one.

I tenderly reached out to the piece of meat, finally I can eat I thought to myself as huge smile spread to my famished lips. But I stopped mid way, realizing what I was about to commit.

"Aren't you going to eat?" She frowned as she asked her question "Then again, why is only your right eye, red?"

"......wait aren't you the one who was with Rize and that guy ?

Touka's POV

Flashback

As I walked with Yoriko home like I always do. I crossed paths with Rize the binge eater who terrorized the 20th ward. She really was a problem, and I saw the man she was with.

"What a poor sap he is I knew what was about to come as I glanced at the two.

Then suddenly out of nowhere a girl intercepted Rize's conquest of her hunt. She let the boy go with the other woman Rize had just encountered.

"Touka-chan is there something wrong?" Yoriko pulled me out of my thoughts.

"It's nothing" I looked at the road ahead and started walking again.

I knew Rize would come after that girl for taking her meal. And I couldn't do anything about it, the manager said to leave it be but, there's been a nagging feeling that I should stop her physcothic nature.

A frustrated sigh I breath out as I continuing walking. I knowing that woman will be dead by the end of the week.

Present time

"Why weren't you eaten?........then again what's wrong with your eye? My eyes widen in astonishment.

"I just don't know what to do now". Her mouth quivered "I want to eat that meat but......I cant..... I'm human yet, I want to eat that.....please help me" her muffled words seem to make her cry even more reaching for the hand yet she yanked it to stop her self.

"If your hungry just eat it" putting it closer to her face. I noticed she stopped crying. She reached it one more time. Her hands were so unstable as she took the meat.

Smelling it her mouth watered with thick saliva, the odd eyes looked as if a deranged animal had escaped from the captivity of a cage, she was about to take a bite, when suddenly she stopped and a tear slid to her cheek. Slapping the torn hand from mine, it splattered to the ground with red blood escaping from the source. The one eye sat in weird position, hugging her legs tight her head rested on her on knees, tears fell simultaneously. As she said those odd words.

"No, I'm a human I cant eat this, I won't be a human any more I won't be a person anymore!"

"Why not give in already? I strode to the corpse of the dead human, my boots scratching on the surface of the ground "If you don't have the nerve to eat then I'll give you a hand" Taking out a piece of the red meat. Pools of tar black and red dilated irises swam, gazing up at her pitiful face, .

In an instant, I forced fed the poor girl, she was starving any ways and I can't let that happen. Blood flied, now everywhere in her face, hands, and in her mouth. I had backed her to the wall like before her and Nishiki.

Tears and crimson red blood flew into the air.

Narrator's POV

The girl didn't know what to do but to swallow the delicious piece of rare meat. It was the best thing she had ever tasted this past few days.
Strength surged through her veins and a deep pleasure had been sensed.

"I want to...... this eat "emotions mashed up, mind confused all she was thinking was to swallow.
