~NAMJOON POV~

"Now look who's lying. You and I both know that our relationship with y/n could fall apart if she finds out that she's not our real daughter." Mrs Wang

I was shocked to be honest. I didn't know what to do at this point.

Y/n is adopted and she doesn't even know?

But Y/n knows that Jackson is adopted so why wouldn't they tell her the same thing and make her believe that she is their biological child?

I needed answers, this is my mate they're talking about.

So once I gathered my thoughts I walked down the stairs but they must of heard me coming and stopped talking while shushing each other quietly but I can hear it and it only made me smirk to myself but that disappeared when I set my eyes on the two in the living room.

Y/n's father was casually sitting on the one seater couch while Mrs Wang was trying to look busy by cleaning the coffee table with a cloth in her hand. Cleaning at this time of night? Really?

I stopped just by the opposite end of the coffee table to share glances at the two that still hadn't said anything to me yet.

"You heard us didn't you?" Mr Wang

I nodded quietly to him but yet firmly. Mrs Wang gasped and slapped her husband on the chest with her cloth but he just grabbed it from her and threw it to the table beside him.

"You shouldn't of asked him that. He might not of heard us." Mrs Wang

"But he did! He's a wolf and he was bound to hear us talk like that about his mate. I assume our daughter is your mate yes?" Mr Wang

He raised a brow at me and Mrs Wang also turned back to me waiting for an answer. Again I nod but I was in no mood for this small talk stuff I wanted to know how two humans could end in a situation involving wolves and Y/n.

"She is but I need to know some things. Like first Y/n isn't your biological child?"

I raised my eye brow at him, clenching my chin too. Mrs Wang sighed sadly and sat down next to her husband on the arm of the one seater, in defeat.

"No she's not our biological child. But we love as if she was just like Jackson. They're both our everything in life." Mrs Wang

"I think you should sit down son, we have a lot to talk about." Mr Wang

He gestured to the couch beside him and yet I nodded to agree and took a seat but sat on the edge because I wanted to know everything about this. When it comes to Y/n it's not joke.

Both Mr and Mrs Wang exchanged a look of uncertainty towards each other and took each other hands.

"My wife and I had been trying for years to have children but it never happened for us. Just one of those things I guess. We would pray for a miracle and yet nothing came of it and we were about to give up until one night....." Mr Wang

He licked his lips and looked at his wife who made eye contact with him and she nodded to him and continued what her husband had been saying.

"One night this woman came banging on our door late in the night. We were actually at my parenst cabin a few miles away from here just to get away from reality of being childless. But anyway this woman was clearly distressed, sobbing like crazy and I would to if I were her." Mrs Wang

She sadly looks at her husband and I only shifted closer to the end of my seat, intrigued to know what happened.

"She didn't come alone. She had her husband clinging on to her with barely any life left in him. It turns out that she dragged him for miles in his state of health and be being a nurse I knew by just looking at him he wasn't going to make it." Mrs Wang

I noticed how she shuttered to think back on these memories but I pressed for more.

"What was wrong with him?"

She looked at me with a blank look on her face.

"It looked like he was shredded by wolves. I'm surprised he was even living at that point, but he held on I guess you could say." Mrs Wang

"He looked dead when he came in and I took him from his wife to set him on the dining room table while my wife here tried to help him." Mr Wang

"But also this woman was pregnant too. Like heavily pregnant and it amazed me more that she managed to pull this quite large man for miles injured and dying all the way he was all the way to our door." Mrs Wang

"So they were Y/n's real parents?"

Both of them nodded, confirming my thoughts but another question appeared in my mind.

"Then why don't you want to tell Y/n then? I'm sure she wouldn't be angry about what happened because it wasn't your fault."

Again they both looked at each other as if reassuring each other it's okay to talk about this.

"Because these people were werewolves, like you Namjoon. After the man passed away, the woman went straight into labour. I mean it was scary and once Y/n was born she made me promise to look after her baby and that's what we did and we've loved her as our own ever since." Mrs Wang

I looked down sadly.

"W-What happened to her mother?"

I was pretty sure I knew this answer already but I needed to hear it.

"I say she died of a broken heart. Her labour was smooth, no complications and I always thought that after loosing her husband her heart couldn't take it and she passed away. My husband here buried them together. It just seemed to make sense that they should be together in death too." Mrs Wang

I nodded with a small smile. That seems nice and I'm sure they would of liked that. What wolf wouldn't want to be buried with their mate?

I would want to be buried with Y/n if I died or if she did too.

"So wait? Y/ns biological parents are wolves yet she is a human. She has no wolf, if she did I would feel it."

I pointed to myself in the chest in disbelief to this. Y/n is born to wolfs so she'll carry the wolf gene but has no wolf herself?

I've never heard of this before and yet if the midnight pack knows of this then it would explain why they want to kill her. But how would they find out?

"No she has no wolf. After Y/n's biological parents passed away we found some information. A year later we took Y/n out there like we do every year on her birthday, a man came to us. He was tall, handsome and had this scar on his left eye to his cheek. I think his name was erm." Mrs Wang

"Lee Sungmin?"

I asked knowing just by the scar description.

But when she nods I became more confused. What would the current alpha of crystal falls pack be doing there?

"What did he want?"

I looked at them both desperately needing an explanation. This is the same man that lost his son and only has that girl Anna to take place but I know by traditional laws she cant so that is why my dad wanted me to be with her to take on both packs.

"He's the one that told us that Y/n's parents were werewolves and that Y/n must be hidden at all times. But also that these werewolves were like alphas or something?" Mr Wang

He looked at his wife with a frown but she nodded as if to confirm that was true.

Alphas?

Of what pack?

I don't think they would know so I didn't ask them that.

"But please Namjoon, don't tell her yet." Mrs Wang

Her husband sighed heavily and shook his head.

"Why not?"

"Because she shouldn't know just yet. I understand she will find out sooner or later but I don't want her to find out while Jackson is missing. I don't want her to blame herself if werewolves kidnapped her brother to get to her." Mrs Wang

I nodded but clenched my fist. I don't want to keep this from her but I see Mrs Wangs point there. It could upset Y/n more and I know she will blame herself for this.

"Fine I'll keep it a secret but I know who Lee Sungmin is and I'm going to have a word with him about this."

"That man is still alive?" Mr Wang

I nodded and stood up from the couch.

"Yes very much but not had a lot of luck with him lately but he's a strong man so im sure he'll be fine."

I forced a smile and headed back to the stairs ready to go back to bed with Y/n.

"But thank you for sharing this with me. It means a lot and could also help me a great deal."

"Your welcome." Mrs Wang

"Oh we know. If you wolves really like the way we've seen and heard then I trust you with her life Namjoon. I'm sure you would do anything to keep our daughter safe." Mr Wang

I took one step on the stairs and looked back at him with an grin of my own.

"I would sacrifice my own life for her Mr Wang."
