Laying on the grass

Under the starry sky
Humming to the tune
Of the late night crickets

Right beneath the moon's shine
Rays of sunlight peeking through
Illuminating the presence
Of an absence that was felt

Time goes by
The color change of the sky attests to that
Seemingly content
Staring at the starry sky

But as the moon slowly disappears
Somewhere into the sky
Hoping something was found
Hoping like the sun it has revealed itself
