A Stony Heart
Heart of stone is now what once was a heart of gold,
Scanning through the pages which memories unfold.
Not a tear to shed, as past replays on my mind,
Oh, what a facade! What a price for being kind!
Enduring the pain silently, no words to share,
Hoping it's all a dream, which reality will tear.
Alas! says the heart, it's not so easy to forget,
Only if I could learn not to love, but to hate!
Grief embracing my soul, I feel dead and numb,
Resuming to the darkness, to the loneliness I succumb.
Let me be lost in you, into solitude I humbly request,
Life is a struggle for me, my death would be a feast.
